TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Unfelt: 4:30pm On Jan 02
did they tell u why they denied your admission?? if the program is not so expensive, i'll advice u take it and then re apply for the Cyber Security when u are done. OR you can look for another school to apply to if u still have time.

All the best

Benzdey4u:
Hello everyone, please i need an advise, i applied for Cyber Security in Loyalist college, but was denied the addmission, but was later offer admission for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AIGS) for 1 Academic Year(s) (Periods Of 8 Months), instead of 2 years.. Should i accept the offer or look for another school. or what should i do next
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Unfelt: 6:48pm On Dec 31, 2025
...so for exmple, what does your mum do for a living, is she working?? if yes, u need to show a refrence letter from her work place, payslips, id cards, basically documents to proof that she is gainfully employed or if she is a business woman then u will need to show her company registrations, tax slips, what kind of business is it?? stuff like that..The aim is to paint the perfect picture for the officer, so he understands the source of her funds. having a huge sum is not enough.

take a break from applying and do some more research on proof of funds.

All the best

Crane1:
Can anyone help me understand the reason for these two denail.

First Attempt

1. Paid 15,000 out of 26,500 tuition fee
2. Mother is the sponsor, with her personal account where she has lump sum
3. GIC fully funded
Outcome: VISA was denied, reason being that success of fund is not reliable.

Second Attempt with decision made 29th of December.

1. Full 26,500 paid, later discovered the school offer a new 7000+ scholarship
2. GIC still fully funded
3. To address fund issues, mum gave gift of land, with deed of land and Affidavit, land sold, and money paid in different installments. All this was submitted with bank details showing transactions trails, still outcome

VISA denied

What is the problem, should the door be closed to CANADA?

Any advice?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Unfelt: 7:28pm On Dec 16, 2025
Thank you so much for that information...

bullstriker:
It depends on the program's competitiveness. Apply to at least two schools for the competitiveness program. You can contact me if you need assistance securing admission
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Unfelt: 3:48pm On Dec 16, 2025
please i have a question, when applying to schools in canada, do u apply to just one school or multiple for backup??
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Unfelt: 3:39pm On Dec 16, 2025
Starting from Jan 2026, students will no longer require PAL..i recently made an application to a school and they sent me a mail with this information...So my advice is that you wait it out, i dont think you will require a PAL especially as u start if Sept 2026... Goodluck!

Neche207:
hi guys, please I need to verify this.
I got an admission for September 2026 last month and I was given a pal this month which is to expire on the 31st of this month, a friend told me that I need to make use of the pal quickly else if it expires without using it, I won’t get another one. Please how true is this for NBCC student because I am still in the preparation process, I am still gathering document and not ready to rush the submission
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Unfelt: 1:47pm On Jan 29, 2019
Hello, It will really depend on the year u were born... if u were born after the citizen by birth was cancelled then u simply apply for a tourist visa...no long story just put a copy of ur birth certificate just to pove that you were actually born in the Uk because it will b stated in ur Nigerian passport...You really have no claim to the UK if u were born after 1986 or so...

Sugarkay:
pls I ve a question to ask n will appreciate if help can be given, I have a Nigerian passport with place of birth which is UK ,( I can prove may place of birth if need be ) which is true, pls which visa is best to apply for. thank you
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Unfelt: 9:32pm On Jan 28, 2019
Lmaoooo my prayers are with you...

Is it cheaper to pay onlinehuh

sutelk:
Thanks for your response. I used 'walk in" and "priority" when I applied for my visa. I paid with card at the VAC. I discovered there was a very very huge difference between when you pay with card at the centre and when you pay online.
Thanks anyway, I will just transfer the naira equivalent of the online cost to madam and ask her to pay with card at the VAC. And I will pray very very hard that she returns my change grin grin
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Unfelt: 3:29pm On Jan 28, 2019
It was 40k in TLS Abuja..i dont know that there is a difference tho...

sutelk:
Hello,
Please what's the cost of prime time appointment at TLS Ikeja if you are paying with card at the VAC. I know it says £78 online if you are paying online. But I know it's a different fee if you are paying with card at the centre. Please anyone help me with the current price. Thanks.

TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Unfelt: 4:00am On Feb 14, 2018
Is your husband in the UShuh

ademelie:
Pls what if they ask about DH. Will his not living here not make them think I don't have strong ties here or no reason to come back once I leave? I have no travel history and this is my first baby. I would like mum to go with me and mum has no travel history too. One agent told me I have just 50/50 chance. So I decided to leave agents and then I found this thread. Please don't mind my too many questions. Am asking based on what I have read from part 5 to this particular thread.
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Unfelt: 3:39am On Feb 14, 2018

abisoyed:
Good morning mamas in the house. Can someone or people who went through Houston POE between January and now share their experiences. Kindly help a sister out as I am in a panic mode, I bought a BA ticket to Houston for April and my family and friends have been scaring with different tales of being sent back, even the person I rented an apartment from is not recommending I come in through Houston and my ticket is non-refundable. What do you all think? Thank you as I await your response.

TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Unfelt: 2:18am On Feb 05, 2018
i totally agree!! Yesterday, for some reason i went to check out my return ticket on Airfrance turns out the maimi - new york leg was cancelled only God knows for how long, no mail, no rescheduling, nothing from Wakanow...imagine if i didnt check thats how i would hve bounced to the airport in march thinking i had my ticket sorted....I spent a full hour on the phone with Airfrance customer care and thankfully the matter was resolved. Will i ever use an agent again?? No!!!

justwise:

It's not my responsibility to keep agents in business, as a consumer I shop around for the best deal and in this case buying directly from the airlines presents a better deal.

It's easier, cheaper and less stressful buying from the airlines directly than dealing with agents.

Ticketing agents and photographers will see a huge decline in business as time goes on because internet and smartphones, its down to them to move on to other businesses.
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Unfelt: 2:04am On Feb 05, 2018
hello!! i think its better you buy from qaitar directly, cause it will be easier for you to call and make changes when the need arises..

Babatwi:
Pls is it advisable to buy ticket from wakanow or from Qaitar air directly, both are quoting about the same price?
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Unfelt: 12:27am On Feb 02, 2018
i think it will only be suspicious when the whole sum is lumped into the account, if not when it comes to medical visas, money talks!!!!

labsgal:
Hello house, please is a total budget of $21,000 too much/suspicious for a family of 3(myself, husband and daughter)? Because people keep saying it will raise suspicion at d interview. Please note, my birth related fees amount to$9k+
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Unfelt: 7:44pm On Jan 28, 2018
hello, There is nothing wrong declaring that you have more than 10k on you all that is required of you is to fill a form declaring the amount in your possession....You and your wife are seen as a family and will be giving only one landing card to fill so u will have to indicate that you have 14k on you, its really not a big deal!!

litylity55:
Happy Sunday to everyone. Pls house, can I and my wife take more than 10k dollars when traveling for her child birth. Or may be we can share it like I take 7k, and she also take 7k dollars. For us not to declare more than 10k dollars when traveling. Though the bill and exp is like 8k. But we just want to prepare our self down. And we don't know which Nigeria bank is working in USA so that we don't face difficulty in bills payment. Your advise will be appreciated. Thanks.

TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Unfelt: 5:08am On Jan 20, 2018
hello, just go to your hospital and request for a copy of your medical history covering your present pregnancy, the hospital already know what is required including a cover letter to whom it may concern...Test results, Scans et al!!

No, once you receive a copy of the medical history u will scan to the hospital(s)..

chinybelle:
Can someone help with how to go about sending health history to a doctor in the US.
Is the Nig hospital suppose to send scan copies of patience's medical file or what?
Just need to be sure they do it the right way.
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Unfelt: 4:49am On Jan 20, 2018

zirochi:
how does one send the letter for notification of intent for child birth in US is it via mail or......? Please can someone show me a sample of what the content of the letter should be
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Unfelt: 2:13pm On Jan 18, 2018
I honestly dont think she needs to send a letter to the embassy seen as they have used the Visa for the purpose it was issued. However she should hve in her possession her Dr correspondence, Burden of proof e.t.c for her POE....

FADEO:
Wow this is nice, Part 6, this don turn to Season film.
Please I have a question from a friend, he returned in June with his wife from vacation in US, now the wife is pregnant, she want to go back to the US for child birth,

Do they have to send Letter of Intent to the Embassy and is the letter going to be handwritten or by mail to the embassy if need be?
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Unfelt: 3:20am On Jan 18, 2018
My thoughts exactly!!
Omodadi2:
Sorry for your sisters' denial.

In all, if you've bin following interview trascrips recently, you'll notice that the reason for choosing US is now a question used to deny people when not answered correctly, I mean adding the dual citizenship purpose which is why most of us all are going there coupled with the First Class healthcare.

The account statement might also have issues, but I think her reason for choosing US that she stated isn't genuine enough.
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Unfelt: 7:54am On Jan 16, 2018
For the advice you seek u might need to b a bit more specific, for example, when exactly did u get the visa?? have u used the visa before??
were u pregnant when u got the visa??

Awesome777:
I seek your advice, it is actually urgent. My due date is in March and am looking at giving birth in the US but am on visiting visa at the moment.

What are my chances right now? Is it still possible to write a change of intent letter, if it is possible, I will be glad if someone can work me through this process.

Expecting your reply.

So excited to finally share my POE experience!!!

i got my Visa in April last year, hubby and i had planned a vacation but we ended up not going, i went to the Uk instead. Fast forward to June this year, i found out i was pregnant nd decided i was still going to have my baby in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Sent the infamous intent letter to the embassy and got the generic reply. Doctor and hospital sorted. Cash sorted. We planned a week babymoon at South beach miami, so we had Hotel reservation sorted aswell. so moving on....

Had to fly Air peace to Lagos and was asked for my fit to fly both at Check in and boarding luckily i was just a few days passed 27weeks and their limit is 28weeks so basically i was good to fly.

Air France on the other hand didnt ask for Fit to fly from Lagos -paris - Miami.

Got to Miami and the CBP uncle just read through our landing Card and asked if our cash was in Naira, and my hubby said yes, and he stamped my husband in for 6months, and was stamping my passport when i coded my hubby to tell the guy what we were her for:

DH: i will be here for 2weeks while my wife will be here for a few months.
CBP: No problem!!

sent us away with a lady to cash declaration:

CBP: hello, there..what are you here for??
DH: Vacation and my wife will stay back to have our baby
CBP: oh wow!! congratulations ma'am!!
me: Thank you!!
CBP: so what do you do??
DH: i am a pilot!!
CBP: Get out of here!! who do you work for??
DH: *****
CBP: so fill this form....
CBP: ok let me see the cash...

After DH shows him the money, he joked about it being monopoly money, we all laughed and said our goodbyes.

SHIKENA!!!! I am in the Hotel now cooling my 'swollen' heels...

So grateful to God for the amazing journey, i was really worried about the VISA issue and how much the change of intent letter was either going to make or break my Journey but i daresay my POE experience was a BREEZE!!
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by Unfelt: 10:45am On Dec 02, 2017
wow!! Somebody woke up on a good side today, This is the nicest reply i have ever read from this Uncle!!!
TWoods:
You're young, no kids. Your sister went to the US and got married there... what's to suggest to the VO that you are not planning to do the same? Now that you're pregnant i think you should have a better shot - just my opinion, which may be wrong. But there's no harm in trying again.

Not changing your income, but including proof of your other source of income as u said you have other sources of legitimate income.

elohim24:
thanks... since my info is in their system already, would changing my income not indicate lying?
