onegentleguy: It's a new dawn fine people!
First, we must thank God Almighty for the most peerless privilege of life and continues guidance. ...honestly, we can never thank him enough!
It's hello 2026! There can be no better way to begin the year than the noble act of giving--extending a helping to those in need. You don't necessarily need to look too far away; just start where you are. Visit the nearest Hospital, Care Center or Orphanage Home near you today. You can also reach out to a family member/loved one, friends or even a stranger in need of a shoulder to lean on. Nothing can be deemed too small. As I always tell folks; value isn't a function of amount but of intent and impact.
As we mark the beginning of another year, we earnestly pray that God will continue to direct our actions and inactions, grant us strength in health and immeasurable blessings; and enlarge our experience of joy in ways that surpass human understanding.
For us @ FINMAP, 2025 was a beautiful year with so many pockets of great WINS. Divine on our side, 2026 will be even BETTER! Here's raising a glass to a fruitful and fulfilling experience this year and beyond. 🥂🥂 May we all live as long as we want, and never want as long as we live and may the best of 2025 be the smallest of milestones in 2026 for you and yours!
~Finmap You came to advertise or market 'Finmap'! You're just like some Nigerian religious leaders that always preach about giving but they are always taking from their congregants. |

Streetinvestor2: I see turn around in fbn now when I visit thr branches. I don't see that in access bank. The whole acquisition is just job not to be traceable by Nigeria regulatory authorities which started with the late ceo.The ceo are competing on who can acquire the highest properties both home and abroad while minority investors gain nothing. Ote is a cow boy but minority shareholders will equally benefit when he start enjoying in the wealth created. That is how ote rolls in his companies. Let him finish acquisition u will see the kind dividend he will be declaring for his massive holdings which will benefit minority shareholders too I think you're biased in your statement. What was First Bank dividend when compared to Access bank? For 2024 full year I think First bank paid about 60 Kobo while Access bank paid more than ₦2. I think Access bank has rewarded minority shareholders than First bank. I believe you are interested in the increase in stock price. |

Streetinvestor2: Remove the A thr in FUZAG That bank is just a vehicle for the past, present and future management of that bank for money laundry and enquiring properties for the ceo/management team. The late ceo finished his own part before unfortunate accident for university and other properties. The present is at it.The future one will still do same because that is the foundation made. Is First Bank better than Access Bank? First Bank management are even doing worse than Access Bank. Most companies management embezzle(that is,take their own share of the company's funds) by inflating cost of doing business. |

emmanuelewumi: They can also trade it to become Trillionaires.
By the way I don't think we have 500,000 billionaires in Nigeria.
My opinion though The number of persons worth more than N1 billion in Nigeria should be more than 500,000. The number of politicians, senior security officials, senior civil servants, contractors, vice chancellor of universities ,and political appointed persons and the number of big business person in every state of Nigeria should be more than 500,000. |

awesomeJ: For most people it's not.
I have a strategy that i know works for up to N100m -delivering over 30% quarterly. What the sustainable returns would be when i trade with N1bn or N10bn or N100bn, I do not yet know, but I;m confident it'll still exceed 10% a quarter. Nothing is impossible. 15 percent every quarter is still possible even with N100 billion naira. We have governors of states in Nigeria who didn't win elections that are ruling today. |

awesomeJ: when you're trading with 500k, you can easily even make 100% in a good quarter, but it reaches a point where 15% in a quarter isn't guaranteed.
so maybe let's use a more conservative 10% a quarter (3.33% a month)
My maths shows N3.4bn about 12 times more than Pa Emma's option.
But let everyone just stick to what they understand.
By the way I got N191bn when i used 15% for 23 years (92 quarters) Abi my calculator is high? I only made calculation for 22 years I made room for losses in some quarters. |

awesomeJ: My stance is that there are many ways to make money in this market, I never speak against people's strategies cos it works for them, where i have issues is when participants who only know about having to do long boring waits to buy or sell try to comment on trading strategies that they still need 10 years to learn. You're right |

emmanuelewumi: N500,000 would have bought a Tokunbo V booth Benz in 2002 or 100,000 units of Presco.
With the 1 for 1 bonus shares, it will grow to 200,000 units of Presco shares currently valued at N280 million and paid a total dividend of N14 million from August 2025 to date If someone like @Locotrader were to have started trading in 2002. And he makes 15% every quarter, that N500,000 would have amounted to more than N38 billion . I think trading is better than dividend investing. |

awesomeJ: I think you have a comprehension problem.
Or maybe you didn't read all the posts on the conversation.
If you understand my posts(which are quite easy to understand), you would realize I never downplay anyone's achievement. My opinion is that everyone should stick to what they understand.
But the guy clearly thinks because he made 2000% off 1% of his portfolio after waiting for 5 years, then he's the only one that has a working strategy.
I just had to give him the correct perspective so he can calm down. That's not downplaying his achievement.
If you didn't have a silly bias, you would obviously see that he's the one who thinks trading doesn't work, simply because he's completely clueless on successful trading strategies. I think he is not aware that the fastest way to get rich in stock market is trading but buying and selling often is harder than buying and only getting dividends. |
