ednut1:This is not true. Bread is still the cheapest food commodity available for the poor. Think about it carefully. |
Souzin:Pls hold on before proceeding with that rather extreme step. This guy is a true hustler. I've never met him before but I have bought some cheap items from him. Both perked just as advertised. Just give him the benefit of doubt for at least 48 hours. I don't think know brands like him would use their very hands to destroy the reputation they built over many years. Recently, some other person on this thread complained to me about one Regular moniker here who is considered above board. I was shocked when presented with screenshots of the venom that came from this same guy who presents himself like a saint here. I had to plead with the guy to allow peace to reign and allow him till end of last month to make good. I am watching closely. Appearances may not always reflect the reality. |
LandMann:Best advice ever. 1. Goethe Institute A1,A2, B1B2 2. Then she looks for a non-fee paying German School. Apply for admission and then provide the required indemnity/bulk sum deposit and she is good to go. My tip would be to avoid Agents as much as possible. All info and guidance you need you can get free of cost at the Goethe Institute. But think carefully before you take this step. Is it really a wonderful path to consider...in view of all the stories we read about? Think my friend...think! |
Ebubu9:Most of your other posts show an above average intelligence and objectivity. It's only recently that I noticed that you seem to have some problem with objectivity especially as it relates to Obi and his donations. For the avoidance of doubt philanthropy is so ething that is personal. A man choses his charities based on a number of variables. How he funds or supports these charities is his exclusive preserve. I am sure if you were to ask Obi why he hasn't inclined to Ebonyi state he would give you a most satisfactory answer. But on a final note the money he's spends is his own. How he spend the money is again his prerogative. And by the way, its sad that you think that Ebonyi should withold their votes because they didn't benefit from his largesse. That could almost pass for stupid. Summarily your position is that Ebonyi voters/Adults should resist an ordinarily good candidate because he was not considered as benevolent towards them in his personal charity drive. We indeed have a long journey ahead of us. |

Neduzoma123456:It doesn't occur to you that we are on the same page here? You are contradicting yourself in every way. There is a HR guidance that I subscribe to and it goes this; when you pay peanuts you hire monkies. One day you will mature in your thinking to the point that you come to the reality of life: Creation is perfect. This perfection guarantees that we only get what we deserve at every point in time. Nothing more nothing less. In this same economy that is comatose outstanding people are still negotiating for outstanding salaries. Develop yourself to a point where you are visible, attractive and irrepressible and you will become the interviewers delight. Let me shock you..... Just this last week, I was privileged to sit in a panel where a blue chip company bent over backwards to recruit a Marketing practitioner with a reward that is more than triple his line manager gets. This is because of his proven track record in that industry. He got exactly what he wanted because he knew what he was bringing to the table and was able to articulate and defend it effectively. 16 years cognate experience in the same industry. We are taking about an 8 figure annual income here. |
Neduzoma123456:Government cannot clamp down on employers because government in itself has failed woefully in providing an enabling environment capable of attracting fresh investors that will inturn create more jobs. Everyday we hear news of even the existing ones shutting down because of inclement operating conditions. Bros, you would doff your hat of you had even the faintest idea of how difficult it is to run a business in this clime. Sadly, there are many jobs even in the midst of apparent unemployment. Desperate candidates are those who are under qualified, unskilled and perhaps subpar when it comes to openings. People are being employed daily on mutually agreed upon terms primarily because they present value for which the company is willing to happily pay for. Upscale your skills and then seek out the right beneficiary for your services and you will get the right reward too. |
Neduzoma123456:Bros, the wonderful thing about life is that you are always left with choices. If you cannot tolerate the poor salary just quit already. That's the sensible thing to do. Better still, quite then set up your own business and become exemplary in how profits should be shared. It can't be simpler than this. |
Neduzoma123456:You write so well. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for your reasoning. It is obvious that you don't know the very first thing about running a business. Too many flaws in your assumptions. Are you expecting that 100% of rh fees will come in as at when due? Are you aware of the fact that there are several cost centres for a business? Finally, I just can't imagine why you are bound to accept an offer so ridiculously low reward when you know that you deserve much better. |
GanagiBitrus:There are drivers and there are drivers. I cannot state listing out the qualities that will make an employer pay a driver even 500k but I assure you that salaries are elastic. Your example was rather irrelevant. A good teacher doesn't necessarily have to possess a PHD. W lot of variables come into play. Just a tip .....there are some teachers you lose in your school and it translates to the loss of almost a whole class of students. I've seen this happening before. Some teachers go to a new employer with the assurance of bringing along a number of students. This is just one variable. Think deeply about it and it will become clearer. |
GanagiBitrus:No exploitation here. She only what she deserves. If she was an experienced teacher she would have been poached and the offer would be much more than that. Expertise is the name of the game. What value was she bringing to the table. We can only judge this matter objectively if we have access to her profile and what role she was expected to play in the overall scheme of things. Running a school or indeed a business in Nigeria is no easy feat. It's all about value. Pls note that there are drivers earning 50k but today we recruited a driver who insisted on 350k and got the offer. Meanwhile the original agreed offer from Management was 200k. Value, Value and Value. After all said and done.......It's always about Value or the perception of value. |

Gerrard59:At some point in the engagement..... yes.. |
Miyachi:Bros, an interview is not a waste of time. It is an experience. If you are really bothered about compensation then it behoves you to consist a research. If I were to be recruiting unskilled labour then we can fix prices....drivers, cleaners, receptionists. But for more skilled jobs a range is permissable.....but sharing that information with a client on first discussion doesn't cut it for me. Finally, my approach is very simple, I have no time to waste myself. Time is my most valued resource. So I can tell from the CV, cover letter and most times from the initial phone exchange if the person is the right fit. And by the way if proximity is an issue then we can adopt technology....Zoom, WhatsApp etc. Recruiting a staff at a certain cadre is a very serious matter and requires multiple stages of careful and attentive interaction on both sides. |
SocialJustice:No professional HR practitioner worth his onions will discuss salary with you on the very first discussion on the phone. It is only desperate candidates that seek to know salary range and that's why they get short-changed. Your best bet is to have an in-depth discussion with the potential employee with a view to understanding what value he can actually bring to the organisation before the negotiation starts. Salaries and by extension rewards are very relative and even a range can be broken in favour of a really good candidate who knows his worth and is able to convey same. |
emmy4real94:Do you still consider designs from small business customers? I could send some your way. |
