The industry need money no doubt, but there are little secrets that can produce massive increase in fan base with little or no money. One can attest to the fact that fan base is the secret behind huge earnings in the industry. Since up and coming artistes or independent fast rising artistes can't afford major promotional strategies and productions, one can easily take up this secret and boost his/her fan base in a space of 3-6 months. We all know that every single producer both the A-list and upcoming producer has a small kingdom they rule. They all have their weak points and strengths in terms of sounds and genres of music. They as well have artistes, sound engineers, radio OAP's, DJ's , etc who are loyal to their productions. Its advisable you try not to stick to a single producer as each producer is liable to directly or indirectly expand your fan base. Try to work with producer across every angle of your town and step up to others in the neighboring cities. Nigerian legend Austin Okocha has revealed that former Germany goalkeeper Oliver Kahn is still unhappy with him 23 years after he scored a wonder goal against the revered shot stopper. Okocha stated this at an interactive media briefing tagged ‘ Bundesliga Legend Tour with Jay-Jay Okocha’ organised by Pay Television Company StarTimes and DeutsheFussballLiga. Karlsruhe keeper Kahn had come out of his line to thwart an Eintracht Frankfurt attack during a Bundesliga game in 1993, but Okocha turned him inside with his dribbles, with the German tumbling down inside the box. But the Nigerian was not done yet as he dribbled past more Karlsruhe defenders, going past some of them twice, before slotting in past Kahn, who had enough time to recover but couldn’t stop Okocha. “Kahn doesn’t like me, he has taken it personal. I was just doing my job, I didn’t have the intention to hold the ball too long but he was at the receiving end. I am grateful to God for that because people can still identify me with something in Germany,” he said. The ex-Super Eagles captain asserted that starting his European career in Germany triggered his professional career. He left Nigeria for Germany at 17 and started out with a second division side FC Saarbrucken before moving up to become one of the biggest stars of the Bundesliga. Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has sacked his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Idowu Adelusi. A statement by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, said Adelusi was relieved of his duty over “dereliction of duty.” The statement, which was announced on the state-owned radio station, did not explain the specific offence committed by Adelusi. “The governor felt he had taken more than enough from the gentleman and ordered his sacking. “The CPS, however, said he was not aware of the event because it was not officially communicated to him. “He said there was no way he could have arranged for a media coverage for an event he was not aware of. It has been a well known fact that Music is business and up and coming artistes are entrepreneurs. The music industry is one of the entertainment industries in the world that has massively grown into a well to do industry with a lot of financial benefits. But it seems most up and coming artistes across the world had one belief that music or their mp3 is the main product they're selling. This is a BIG MISTAKE. There are lot or artistes who has pushed their mp3 to the public but still not yet blown because they focus on selling the wrong products. It is an inarguable fact that the Mp3 , social media presence, etc are all to sell the BRAND NAME AND LOGO(FACE) of an artist. What do you think some artistes make hit sounds that received massive airplay and topped the charts and yet couldn't sustain that fame with subsequent sounds? Its because they sold their mp3 and not their BRAND NAME! READ MORE:: https://www.urbanng.com/2017/08/one-big-mistake-made-by-up-and-coming-artistes.html?m=1 |
YBNL Boss, Olamide may have succeeded in giving the streets which he represents and Nigerians as a whole something to dance to while creating another hit record of his own. However, the Federal Government and especially the Ministry of Health find “WO!!” rather repulsive to say the least. The Federal Government Department, through its official twitter handle, condemned the now viral street anthem. The Federal Ministry of Health criticised the explicit mentions of cigar in the lyrics of the song and an accompanying Video showing someone smoking the controlled substance. The tweets mentioned that “WO!!” is in defiance to the Tobacco Control Act 2015 in the Nigerian Constitution. The thread also reminded Nigerians of the dangers in engaging in such habits. According to 'Fafe', the Real Madrid star toils under the evil eye due to his failure to patch up the relationship with his father With a five-match suspension and troubles with the Spanish tax authorities, Cristiano Ronaldo has not enjoyed the best of summers. But could the real reason behind his misfortune be that the Real Madrid star is the victim of a powerful curse? That is the opinion of one Portuguese witchdoctor, who believes that Cristiano is being punished for missing the funeral of his father. According to Fernando Nogueira, better known under his witchdoctoring name Fafe, the 32-year-old has been subjected to a "terrible curse, a tremendous case of evil eye." "Ronaldo has been weakened spiritually and psychologically," Fafe revealed to Flash when asked about the player's recent travails. "He missed the funeral of his father to play the same evening, and that unleashed a lot of energies." Ronaldo, born Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, owes his evocative middle name to his father, who was a big fan of former US president Ronald Reagan. But he maintained a strained relationship with Jose Dinis Aveiro, who suffered from alcoholism and passed away from a related illness when Ronaldo was just 20. Lamidi Adedibu (full name: Lamidi Ariyibi Akanji Adedibu) was born on 24th of October, 1927 at Oja-Oba, Ibadan. He was an aristocratic noting power broker in Oyo state. He was described as “Father Of PDP” by the former president, Olusegun Obasanjo. Baba Adedibu joined politics in the 1950's, when he became a member of the , Ibadan People's Party and then joined the Action Group under Chief Obafemi Awolowo. Later he became a member of the National Party Of Nigeria (NPN) led by Chief Adisa Akinloye and Richard Akinjide. He became an increasing force in politics during the military reign of General Ibrahim Babaginda, during which the NPN exploited the open ballot electoral system into an instrument of electoral fraud. His brand of politics was described as a blend of populism and raw thuggery that often compelled either violent loyalty or violent opposition. It was said that nobody assumed any political post in Oyo State without Baba Adedibu's approval, leading to him being called "THE STRONG MAN OF IBADAN POLITICS". His son, kamorudeen Adeline Adedibu, was elected Senator of Our South in April 2007. Senator Teslim Folarin , elected to the Senate for Oyo Central was his protégé. Sen. Rashidi Ladoja, who became governor of the state in May 2003, was another protégé, although by August 2004, Ladoja and Adedibu were locked in a fierce struggle over allocation of government appointees. As a great man in Ibadan politics, Adedibu has unleashed more than sufficient mayhem on the city of Ibadan, he has wrecked more than enough bedlam His Death He was pronounced Died On Arrival (DOA) at the University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan. He had visited Lagos earlier in the day for a routine check up at a high brow hospital on Victoria Island. He returned to Ibadan in the afternoon and headed straight for the Immigrations office where he had an appointment. One of his aides, Mr. Lukman Agboluaje, told Vanguard that it was while Baba Adedibu was going through some paperwork that he slumped. Vanguard gathered that the politician lost consciousness and was rushed to the ICU of the hospital but he died on the way. He was pronounced Dead On Arrival (DOA). Adedibu died at the University College Hospital in Ibadan on 11 June 2008, leaving the chiefly rank and title of the Ekarun Of Olubadan to be assumed by one of his subordinates in the clan's royal line of succession. Side Talk/ Reactions and commentary after his death Nobody can replace him — OBJ Former President Olusegun Obasanjo told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in a telephone interview that Adedibu's place and role would be difficult to fill. “There will be no one to equal his feat in the politics of Ibadan and Oyo State since its creation just as no one was able to equal the feat of Alhaji Busari Adelakun, alias ‘Eruobodo’. “It is the end of an era,” Obasanjo said, adding: “nobody can replace him.” The former president said Adedibu called him to say hello only two days ago. The Nigerian economy is showing signs of positivity as the naira continues to gain against the dollar in the black market. The naira posted a marginal gain against the United States dollar at the parallel market on Monday, closing at 364/dollar. The local currency closed at 365/dollar on Sunday. The development brought the rate closer to the official price of 360/dollar for invisible transactions. Following the continued supply of the dollar to the foreign exchange market, the CBN local currency has recorded major appreciation from its all-time-low of 520/dollar. Deposit Money Banks currently sell dollars to end-users in the invisible transactions segment at 360/dollar. Invisible transactions include tuition fees, medical bills and personal travel allowance, among others. The local currency had closed at 371/dollar the previous Friday, having appreciated to 374/dollar the previous Thursday from 382/dollar recorded on Wednesday. Two weeks ago, the local unit had closed at 382/dollar. Currency analysts have said they expect the naira to be stable across the board in the near term on increased dollar supply to both the official interbank window and the black market. At the interbank market, the naira was trading at around 305.40 per dollar. According to Reuters, the Central Bank of Nigeria has been intervening on the official market to try to narrow the spread between the official interbank and black markets. The CBN has sold over $4bn since February, improving dollar supply and providing support for the naira. The recent gains recorded by the local unit have brought the CBN closer to its plan to achieve rate convergence. However, economic experts have said that whichever way the regulator wants to achieve this convergence (either around the lower band of N305/dollar, mid-point band of N320/dollar or around the upper band of around N360/dollar), the country has a huge price to pay. Meanwhile, the CBN on Monday intervened in the inter-bank foreign exchange market to the tune of $413.5m. The regulator said the action was part of its resolve to guarantee liquidity in the market and shore up the international value of the naira. Giving a breakdown of the intervention, the CBN Acting Director, Corporate Communications, Mr. Isaac Okorafor, said the bank offered the sum of $100m to dealers in the wholesale window, while the Small and Medium Enterprises window was allocated a total of $28m. Lil Wayne catches a strange case. Back in June 2016, Lil Wayne found himself in some legal hot water over allegedly assaulting a security guard. Now, TMZ reports that the recipient of the beating is suing Wayne, and worse, he’s actually calling the attack a “hate crime.” To recap, the whole thing went down at the Hyde nightclub, when Wayne and his crew stopped by for the BET Awards after party. After preventing some of Wayne’s entourage from entering, an argument broke out, which allegedly led to Wayne throwing some blows and alcoholic beverages. Where does the “hate crime” label come in? Well, apparently Lil Wayne’s trash talk includes the line “Bleep you white boy !” ..... http://www.urbanng.com/2017/06/crime-lilwayne-get-sued-for-hate-crime.html?m=1
