A federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani (APC, Kaduna Central) has dared the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to release their ‘lists of saints’ following the recent naming and shaming of alleged looters displayed by both parties.

Mr Sani, who described the parties’ action as an entertainment to the nation, took to his official Twitter handle to call out both parties.

Woman infected with HIV by boss, sacked, loses case

The woman said she had been tested before the affair and she was HIV-negative, but after their relationship, she was tested positive.

She claimed her lover became hostile when she broke the news to him. There were multiple claims of assault by both sides. The woman filed a case alleging unfair dismissal in 2004.

Gunmen kill six miners in Kaduna

Armed bandits killed six miners in Kaduna state, police said on Friday, an area beset with ethnic and religious tensions with frequent clashes between farmers and herders.

“Some unknown gunmen killed six people — four men and two women — at a mining site in Bakin-Kogi on Thursday,” state police spokesman Mukhtar Aliyu told AFP.

He said a female miner was also injured in the incident.

“Military and police personnel have launched a manhunt for the attackers and we will not rest untill they are apprehended,” he said.
