If they can do <= 12-15% (last year was ~11.36%), we should have a bumper harvest. The price closed at #474 last year, and 15% of that is ~#70. RodgersAkpafu: I really hope so |

This is just a local maximum (your supposed hilltop), not the global extremum (maximum). Agbalowomeri: Lol who is competing with you on knowing. My hypothesis is still in place. EPS will trend down from here. Isn't that what we are saying? We are on a hilltop and descending . If Q1 and Q2 EPS 2025 show growth over 2024, then you have won. |

Offer: The amount the CBN intends to sell or puts on offer. Subscription: The amount that people actually requested for. Allotment: The amount the CBN finally issues and got. Yield is the equivalent of the rate you get if your interest is paid at the end of your investment tenor (90-, 180-, 0r 364-day). The stop rate is the maximum (cutoff) interest rate that the CBN was willing to sell to bidder. Some bidders must have made bids below and some others above the stop rate, but he CBN only decides what rate they would not go beyond based on the various bids they received and the amount they want to raise. The stop rate is the equivalence of your annual interest rate that you'd normally get after your investment tenor. ' You must pick a definitive rate because the bank must specify to the CBN what rate they are bidding at--they cannot give a range. omotola224: Hello everyone pls I have some questions
I understand how secondary market works which is what I have been doing Now I want to go for primary rate my questions are as follows
Based on the last auction result picture What’s the meaning of the offer, subscription, allotment Also why is true yield rate not used instead of current stop rates If I want to invest 100m for 365 and on this very list we have 80m for 91 days,120m for 182days, and 500,000,000,000 Will I still be able to invest 100m for 365 days when that exact amount isn’t on the document Also my account officer said there are no guarantees my bid will be successful and my bank which is Providus also says I have to pick just one rate for them to bid at I thought I could pick a range I have asked to speak with someone in the tbills dept but there has been no response
If I could get a clearer picture from experienced people here I will be grateful
Attached image is the last auction rate |

Hello Everyone, I just have a quick question. Has GTCO (DataMax) credited the approved public offer shares to anyone's CSCS account? I got the e-allotment advice from DataMax Registrars, but the shares have not yet been deposited into my CSCS. Anyone else in that situation? |

Have you gotten your GTCO added to your CSCS account? Sunrisepebble: Don’t forget that the new shares are not listed. So they don’t have to pay out on it compared to the ones that have listed the newly issued shares |

Yes, the reinvested interest will also earn interest at the same rate as your initial principal. Maya30: Good day house, I want to invest in Treasury Bills(ist time). If I choose to reinvest my interest, potentially up to ₦5 million, will I still earn additional interest on the ₦5 million? Assuming it was 15% at the first bid, will it be the same rate with the interest I just reinvested? Thanks |

Foodempire: Very discouraging with the current inflation rate. I've got multiple tbs maturing in April and May i will rather invest in money market and watch how things unfold.
I think CBN believes that as naira strengthens against the dollar then rate should be cut, mind you dollar is going up again. When rates are not encouraging enough people will rather buy dollar to hold and inflation will skyrocket again then rate will go up but for those who have already invested in government securities at a ridiculous rate for longer tenor will then regret it because the meager earned won't be able to withstand the current inflation. I locked up huge funds in sukuk for ten years at 15.7%, as it stand now I'm at a loss. If you don't apply sense investing in naira, you gonna look back after 10 years and realize that you've been played all along. Much sense in your write up. One cannot really blame them much, the economy is a dynamic system which requires continuous actions, feedback, and correction cycle. They can only do their best, which is sometimes insufficient. |

richgang: You can invest in Mutual Funds which is 20 to 22 % p.a . Or better still you can invest in fair money which is 28% p.a . Upfront interest (yield) of the treasury bills makes it better than these mutual funds in my view. Fair money is also variable rate, which may drop quarterly, isn't it? |
