You can apply from your country of residence which is Germany in this case. I applied from Europe and got approved. You may need to get a letter of introduction from your school.

Please my school only gave me an enrolment letter and the conference wasn't mention in this letter no matter what, do you think attending the conference without any notes of awareness abt the conference will affect my visa app?

In case am going for a conference do you think not having my school informed to get a back up note/ letter from them will affect my visa application?

My school only gave me an enrolment letter and the content just says am enrolled in the school and not addressed to embassy just enrolment status notification , blah blah.........

Finally@ two step are you going as a general visitor(tourism)?

Usually, your word is good for it. So no documents needed, but since " e no dey heavy".
1. Jamb Admission Letter
2. Admission Letter issued by the school.
3. A Letter of introduction issued by the school would also be nice.

Hi guys, please I will be going for my visa interview soon here in Deutschland, to attend a 3days conference.

Is it really possible to get the visa without an introduction letter from my school?

I have my enrollment letter,and ID's.

I requested for this recommendation letter to get my school or at least a professor/dean involve but the process is somehow as i will have to attend a panelmeeting( still on 50/50) my schedule is very tight, i filled the DS form since Aug but to pick an interview date is.......

I am an engineering student students in Germany and willing to travel for a social conference in USA.
Engineering studies and social conference?

The conference is taking place next year February 2016, can I apply for visa from now?

The home ties issue has been my major concern as well ,so am thinking of going back home to apply in Nigeria since I can easily still package my docs more with some properties docs that won't be useful here.....land and stuffs, though I work with a renewable contract of 1year but not professional job.

Do you think I should just apply through here.?


Moreso, is it necessary to add travel flight itenary and hotels docs (not paid please) to it ? because the conference is taking place in an hotel and the host have not open the portal for attendees to register for accommodations.

Ps- most of us believe going to US can be easy from Europe sometimes but a friend got rejected a tourist visa from here some months ago, but I think studentship proof is sufficient for ties in the country of residence.
