Onitsha,abgor and other family members migrated from benin kingdom but they actually hail from arochukwu kingdom in present day abia state, by chief native doctor eze chima..
Eze chima migrated from arochukwu kingdom to benin kingdom...

The Onitsha people lived in agbor,asaba before crossing the river 9ja sea, to meet the obosi people over land issues..
Meanwhile the river 9ja was dominated by fisher men from kogi state,benue state.
• The Crossing: According to Onitsha oral history, when Eze Chima’s people reached the River Niger and needed to cross to the eastern bank, it was Igala boatmen and fishermen who helped ferry them across the water.
• Integration: After the Onitsha Kingdom was established, many Igala traders and fishermen moved down the river to trade. Instead of fighting or destroying livelihoods, they peacefully blended into the community. In fact, traditional Onitsha culture today is made up of nine original villages, three of which are historically of Igala descent (such as Ogbeotu, Mgbelekeke, and Obikporo).
