Jesus Christ !! What are you watching? To make sure MTN is not scamming me I used to do N1k for 3.2Gb that was for two days. Meaning N500 a day. That's 15k a month for 24/7 data for video watching and for doing my work. I'm very heavy on TikTok so TikTok consumes data because of video. I never do large plans but small small plans on very regular basis. It feels like I'm cheating MTN because I'm monitoring every mb. As the economy is getting worse I'm now doing N500 for 1GB to further control my data.

Iv used 50mb for the last one hour on Nairaland. Nairaland is the only place on the internet that uses the lowest data consumption. No video few pictures. No graphics does that.

At the beginning, it was fine. I was getting around 100 Mbps. Then three days later, I was struggling to get 1Mbps. Airtel was same. Glo would give me around 5 Mbps. I was just frustrated.

I had no option than to order for Starlink ASAP and installed it at my residence. Now I'm back working from my house.

The network service providers in this country are taking us for a ride.

As I speak I still can't get up to 1 Mbps on MTN where I stay. But when I moved in here about 18months ago, I used to have about 70 to 90 Mbps.

Airel would show u about 40Mbps but you still can't use it for anything.

Glo, that one is a no-go area.

Maybe you need to watch were you browse do you browse with air-conditioning on and all windows locked ? Even though I use MTN with zero open windows I get faster internet when I'm next to an open window. There was this time I was using Glo I had to leave my gate and browse on the streets for more internet speed. Iv been using MTN for over two years now, the only problem I had was when I could get network, I simply switched off the phone took out the sim for 5 minutes put it back in powered the phone up and resumed my watching of women bouncing up and down.

I concur with this. My first month testing the decive with the free data, I used up almost 500GB yet no throttling. Only issue is airtel always have downtimes and those times the speed can crawl. For peace of mind you need to support it with MTN 5G.

The location of the out door unit is another factor that can affect speed. I planted mine not too high, within my burglary because I fear it might be stolen. Raising it on a pole like GOTV anthena will get you crazy signal quality and speed

Finally a real pro. Once I saw MTN 5G I knew you are a real one. I'm on MTN 24/7 with no additive. Iv done all the mathematics. MTN 5G stand alone is the best bet in my area

Bros are you just starting to browse. This one sounds like old wives house tales. MTN have really changed they had no choice but to change. I have used MTN like how women use and dump men. I am still using MTN . I bought 1GB For N500 at 5.00 pm yesterday I have had just 50mb left. I can use that 50mb for one hour on Nairaland. The key to using data long is avoiding watching videos, Avoiding sites that hold too many pictures. There are times when I used to do 4.5 GB for N1K that I would intentionally watch videos to burn the data then when data had gone down start doing my work. Then resume watching videos to finish the data.

I subscribed data to my airtel Sim, 7 gig weekly subscription. I can tell you I didn't use upto 1 gig till the subscription expired. I removed the Sim, broke it and thats the end of my romance with airtel. Etisalat now.

Iv never used Airtel for data since 2013 it has been eternally slow. You mentioned Etisalat are they still around ? I used to use them in the past
