They are at 22Nov15 against your PD of Aug 2015. I think you may get IL soon because they've passed you. I think it is the DQ doing its thingy. Just chill and don't forget Trump administration may not hasten much for legal migration.

Just came back to tell you that my visa has been approved.

I had a friendly chat with the white female Visa Officer.
I don't think there's anything to worry about if you are really the relative of your petitioner.
My category is F11 but I was given the list of IR2. Here:

It's part of the requirements if you are going for medicals you will be asked for your vaccination history. But if unable to provide they will decide the vaccines you need to take as an immigrant. But this covid vaccine stuff was stated as a requirement in my visa interview mail.

Time frame depends on where the Lagos embassy is with your category and many other circumstances that have nothing to so.with your category.

Someone who also mentioned her DQ date and is F1 just shared her IL letter date . Belle77 and her DQ date is Oct 2020 and IL is August 2024.

So Sir you still have a bit to wait. might not be up to 3yrs but it won't be a few weeks.

This letter indicate that you are now in the list of people waiting for IL. IL is roiling out base on the QD , i got this kind of your letter exactly 3 years ago and since then i been receiving this letter 60 days consequently until yesterday when i got my IL. So u need to be patient when they reach your QD u will get your IL.

What time is the interview though? I'm wondering if I'll have to find a hotel near the consulate or go from home.

I need your input on this. I'm sorry, it's going to be a long one, kindly bear with me:

I'm waiting to be DQ, under F2B PD March 2016 (visa bulletin is in Sept 2015)

I've always planned to do a masters in my field as soon as I immigrated but since the pandemic struck and everything slowed down, I feel like I should no
longer just sit and wait for my green card.
I have gotten an admission into a US graduate school of my top choice (still looking for funding) and plan to apply for a student visa.
My plan is to come back to Nigeria for my immigrant visa interview when it reaches my turn and I get an interview letter, I do not mind that at all. I'm hoping that will happen before my 2-year MSc is over.
I want to get a masters in US specifically because that is where I plan to settle and a US degree will help secure jobs better and faster than degrees from another country

I just don't want to keep my career stagnant because of an unfortunate pandemic as I'm in the best phase to take this step.

I will like to add that I have previously gotten a B1/B2 visitors visa which I used once all while waiting for the immigrant visa. I had thought then too that they wouldn't grant the visitors visa because of my pending immigration stuff but they did. The visa officer just made sure to remind me not to mess up or overstay because that will negatively affect my immigration case.

Also, I am contemplating applying for a renewal of my visitors visa before applying for the student visa since I qualify for their new 'no interview, drop box' renewal. This is because regardless of whether my student visa is approved or not, I will like to visit my family freely without breaking their rules.

My questions are:
1. What do you guys think my chances of getting the student visa approved are?
2. Should I bother with the renewal of visit visa?
3. If my visit visa is approved and my student visa is refused after, will they cancel my visit visa that was approved?
4. If my visit visa is refused, will that negatively affect my chances of getting the student visa in a few months after?

As of Nov last year, F1 was at Jan 2020 DQ according to the groups I follow. I'm F1 June 2020 DQ ...no interview letter yet. My PD is Nov 2013.

Don't worry just be hopeful and put it in prayer as well. I believe this time good news

Same happened to me. Mine was rejected about 3 times. So let's say I wasted about 6 months just to get DQ.
I initially submitted a birth certificate, that got rejected.
Then submitted attestation of birth then that got rejected.
Submitted attestation and affidavit that also got rejected,I almost went kolo.
Then resubmitted attestation and affidavit again,but this time included a short note, then I finally got approved.

This same issue happened to me,don't panic.
Make sure this attestation is backed up with an affidavit of age declaration. This can be gotten from any high court around your locality.
Attach this together with this same attestation of birth and submit it again.
Include a short note, there is a section for that(state that these documents have been issued by state accredited authoritie(s) and they can verify further to ascertain if it's genuine.
Be hopeful and wait patiently

Don't you have a birth cert off the hospital you were born or some...Which one did you use to file?

Exactly!Yes and you can also get it in any government recognised hospital or health center. Those NPC guys are always in the hospital. You are in which state?

Your mum can use the Birth Attestation but not sure of your younger brother because they assume that he should have the recent one

Go to any government hospital or health center and obtain your birth certificate. Although I don't know how much is charged

Get the one issued from the hospital and upload i think any Government hospital can issue that for you

If you were born between 1994 upwards;You will need the normal birth certificate obtained from your hospital of birth.

The birth Certificate used depend on your age if you the most recent birth certificate issued in the hospital that should work and make sure its not black and white like the sample you uploaded here.
