It is said that when one pursue two rats he is bound to get none. Well, this may be what faces our country from administration to administration. Given the enormous amount of claimed expenditure in different sectors of the economy, can we for a moment dare to think that governments dissipate their energy and our resources in so many projects with no knowledge of or at best, not enough time to oversee, with detailed attention and build an enduring legacy. I am sure you will agree to the effect of communication in the country and its contribution to nation building, in almost a decade of the GSM and broadband introduction, still developing. It attest to the gains of backing policies with strong will of coordinated plan of action(s).
I strongly believe that if government will stop playing golf with power generation and distribution in this country, the multiplier effect it will have on other sectors and overall economic development will be so rapid that we will wonder why no administration ever thought of undertaking only this project in its four year tenure. I say they are playing golf with the power sector because every swing of effort (money) expended by any administration has only one purpose, and that is to empty the ball (the project) into a hole, and they are applauded by fellow club members. The rest bystanders watch from distance ( from TV ) not understanding the game.
Lets hear your take on this or thought on what we should focus on to take us out of the doldrums soon enough. I think I am tired of America was not built in a year song. Lets change the lyrics to Dubai was build from collection and combination of world best ideas.

I thought we as good nigerian hoping for the best in this country were to use this medium to at least tinker or really brain storm on how we can get out of these rots. Instead we are mudsligging and putting up defense for ineptitude and (or) incompetence. Saying it is alright for one to wear the garb of the revered medical profession and will be guilty of having total disregard for human life. If you ever watch someone died in your presence just because a "professional" who should do all he can to safe the situation refuses for reasons of policy or order, you will view this appalling action differently, whether the victim is your close person or a stranger.
Nigerians, lets reason. What is bad is bad.
