Thanks bro I'm staying for a month guess I don't need to undergo medicals. So you suggest paper application is better right? I read you need a polio vacination. Do I need that despite staying for a month ?
you do not need medicals but you need polio vaccination.

Hello everyone. Please I need your advise. I'm a bout to complete my application for MSc in Health sciences (occupational health option). I currently work in a bank, I have worked actively in the occupational health field before I got the bank job through voluntary jobs. I also have a professional certification, I still work in that field, however, its not structured in the sense that there are no payslips,no employment letter even tho I work for them(its a by the "side job"wink. Now my challenge is should I declare both jobs?

I hope my narration is clear enough. Thank you fam

Thanks. We understand that she could use her Naira Mastercard but this is a last resort.

I know that this is possible, but my question was which bank allows it? Thanks.
FirstBank

Nope. That "professional" may need his/her title revoked. Most Canadian schools specify their requirements for international students using each country's grading scale. For Nigeria, as an example, most schools require a Second Class Upper (i.e. 3.5/5.0), though some schools like University of Ottawa may accept a Second Class Lower as a minimum. They don't require you to convert your CGPA to their system in most cases, their criteria evaluates your Naija CGPA the way it is.

In the future, I would recommend you use Google to confirm any such claims. Just go to the website of any of your schools of interest to find out.

Having said that, some people on here have used WES to convert their CGPA to a 4.0 scale to see if it makes their 5.0-scale CGPA look better. But this is not required by almost all Canadian schools.
Thank you

[quote author=thesoj post=40602911]Questions: Abeg I need people to help me with these two questions, preferably anyone who recently got PTA or used Form A to transfer funds to Canada (within the past month).

For First Bank, PTaA sales have been stopped. She could use a Naira Master card linked to her naira account however the rates are high.

2. It is possible to send funds for her living expenses.

Requirements

1. ADMISSION LETTER
2.SCHOOL BILL FOR LIVING EXPENSES
3.EVIDENCE OF PAYMENT OF TUITION FOR CURRENT SESSION
4. STUDENT BANK ACCOUNT DETAILS I.E.ACCOUNT NUMBER, BANK NAME,SORT CODE.
5. LETTER OF AUTHORITY FROM APPLICANT

THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT THAT CAN BE SENT IS THAT STATED ON THE SCHOOL BILL. THIS ALSO DEPENDS ON THE TUITION THAT AHS BEEN PAID. I MEAN IF HALF OF TUITION HAS BEEN PAID, THEN THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT THAT CAN BE SENT FOR LIVING EXPENSES IS HALF OF WHAT IS STATED IN THE SCHOOL BILL.HOPE THIS HELPS

[quote author=kennethagada post=40601034]URGENT RESPONDS: Please ooo Gurus, i want to make payment

I will advise you use the form A at the branch. That's about the cheapest rate you ll get. Online transfers use higher exchange rates. Ensure you have all the required documents to process a form A transaction.

My 2cents.

Hello Fam,

I would like you to advise me please. Some schools request for a minimum of a second class upper which for us in Nigeria is 3.5/5. I was just advised by a "professional" that I have to convert it to a scale of 4 and it must be a minimum of 3/4 for one to qualify as a second class upper graduate to gain MSc admission in Canada. Please how true is this ?

Thank you.

Dear Fam,

Congrats to all who have gotten their visas.

I have been granted admission (MSc Public health) in Canada. Once i am done with the study, i would like to move to Australia. I would like to know of that is possible, considering that I just finished MSc without work experience. I v had a lil work experience and certifications in occupational health and safety but have worked as a customer care officer for about 2years now.

What do I need to know or do?

Thanks

[quote author=bhanjjie post=40363713]Hi guys,

Hi bhanije. I started following this thread on Sunday.still trying to read up. I don't have answers to your question. I intend to use pfl too and also study public health. While wa await the responses of the gurus, kindly advise on how much the tuition is per annum in naira and the length of the course. I have checked the website, nothing to satisfy my curiosity.
Thanks
