Hello fam, so we had a burial in my place yesterday, and my relatives were back home. So i met this woman and started telling her my ordeal as regards this recruitment.

To my shock, this woman is under the office of the head of civil service of the federation, and she gave me a lil expo.

1. You see all those past questions flying around? If you depend on it, you are on your own. 60% of the questions are going to come from past questions from Federal Training Center FTC. So if you have someone that is schooling at FTC, better call and ask for their past questions and read broadly.

2. It is actually a blessing in disguise that this upcoming CBT exam is dragging like this, because most people are not yet prepared and the exam is going to take many people by surprise. Make una read oooo..

3. Hmm, please if you want to study, go and study

1. English language (this includes oral english)
2. Mathematics (not just ordinary mathematics but also business mathematics)
3. Current affairs
4. General knowledge
5. Federal government public service rules
6. Basic ICT

Questions of numbers 1,2,5,6 are gotten from FTC.

I dont have past questions that is softcopy, but i have gotten the hardcopy of past FTC exam questions as well as a couple handout on federal public service rules. And this is what i got from my intel.

I wish everyone success. She said the exam is sooner than we expected. And yeah, she said the exam is strictly on merit, like unless you know someone in the house of assembly, any connect will surely chop your money (as i have already been scammed 800k last year while looking for fg jobs, i advice we all prepare harder and broadly). Even herself do not know the time for the cbt, but she said it is sooner than we expected.

My brother, no one has been given APL. If it's so, it means the re-verification exercise was a mere formality.

When government agencies announce recruitment, it sparks hope. Young graduates, even underemployed people polish their CVs, prepare for tests, and start planning for a better future. But when the process drags on endlessly, that hope turns into anxiety.

Instead of progress, applicants are left in limbo. It feels like a cruel way of calming the rising tension of unemployment and underemployment in the country, offer hope today, then start an endless delay game, and never give clear answers.

*What Needs to Change*
If the FCSC is serious about recruiting, then the process should be:

Publish clear timelines and stick to them.

Don’t keep applicants waiting for months without updates.

Ensure fairness so everyone has an equal chance, not just insiders.

Nigerians deserve more than half-baked promises. They deserve real opportunities backed by action.

The FCSC recruitment drive started with hope. But the longer it drags without results, the more it feels like just another government tactic to silence growing unemployment concerns. Until transparency is prioritized, young Nigerians will continue to see such exercises as a game of formalities — a game that tows with their time, energy, and mental health.

There is nothing like manipulation; this recruitment is purely on merit.

If you have been following the updates on the WhatsApp group platform; you will realize that, they just conclude the re-verification exercises. Which took place from 18th to 28th of August.

So there is no enough time to also continue the with the shortlisted applicants.

The re-verification exercises is to create more vacancies for the incoming successful employees and to also remove fake employees that were recruited between 2010 to 2023.

Let's be patient this September may be the month for another phase of the recruitment process.

Am 34 years. if you are a first born like me, my brother hustle and grind harder because nobody is coming to save you. Not your tired parent, relatives and even government. Your future lies in your ability to make things happen for you.

Do not blame anyone for your occasional failures, keep pushing and cut out distractions like- girls, alcoholic friends and useless people that will not add value to your life.

If you are not an undergraduate, endeavor to learn a skill or trade.

Wish i had someone who told me all this things earlier. i got to know all this by 30 years. It took me 4 years to adjust and unlearn all the societal believe of " Go to school, get a good grade and you stand a better chance of landing a lucrative job" and so on.

Am happier now and doing better than before and also engaged with a lovely spouse.

Maybe you didn't understand what I said. It's only a congratulatory message that one has been shortlisted. Check the post I replied to again. The person was claiming that they have seen people with print out that contains CODE or REFERENCE NUMBER, that's my point of argument. Not any other thing.

He is mistaking CDCFIPB recruitment which have printout for FCSC recruitment, which doesn't have printout.

There is nothing like printout in Federal Civil Service Commission recruitment. Only checking your dashboard from time to time.

I don't understand what is happening in this FCSC shortlisting of applicants.

6 applicants I know saw the forms on there dashboard to fill and submit, only to login and see a message saying that "Closure of the application phase of recruitment exercise and so on"

RE: BOARD HOSTS FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE EXECUTIVES OVER SERVICE DELIVERY AND RECRUITMENT

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), today welcomed The Executive officers of the Federal Fire Service led by the Controller General of Fire Service, Engr. OA Jaji and his council of deputies.

The meeting was presided by The Executive Chairman of CDCFIB, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, The Secretary to the Board, Alh. Ja’Afaru Ahmed, The Permanent Secretary of Interior, Chief registrar and members of service administration, Board Secretariat amongst others.

The Closed meeting which started about 13:40hrs CAT today, was primarily aimed at effective service management and operational delivery of the service in it’s entire and the pressing recruitment process and reformation and rescheduling of Calender of actives for the exercise.

More information on the compromises of the recruitment process into the fire service reached during the meeting today, will be communicated publicly through the CDCFIB on 06/09/2024.
