*How much did Tinubu leave in foreign debts on 29th May 2007?

Onyaiken ranting that Governor Alia has been suspended from carrying out his duties as a Catholic Reverend holds no water as the constitution of Nigeria - which remains supreme and above even the Catholic church mandates that Reverend Alia should temporarily relieve himself of being a Catholic priest and to concentrate on governing Benue state which he is now a governor.

Onyaiken can rant all he likes about Alia being suspended by the Bishop superior but the fact remains that the good Reverend - while forever still remaining an ordained priest unless excommunicated by the Pope and Pope alone - has by constitutional mandate since relieved himself from performing mass.

Note that Onyaiken's declaration of Alia being suspended by his Bishop superior only translates to the Reverend being forbidden to carry out mass.

So onyaiken can be rest assured that after the good Reverend completes his tenure , Reverend Alia will be returning back to the church to perform mass .

The Arewa Discussion Group (ADG) has called on Phrank Shuaibu, a media aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, to publicly address allegations of plagiarism levelled against him by US-based Nigerian scholar, Professor Farooq Kperogi.

The group, in a statement signed by its Secretary, Malam Rabiu Maru, alleged that Shuaibu had repeatedly reproduced portions of Kperogi’s published works without attribution, including passages and entire articles, while presenting himself as an authority on the English language.

The allegations form part of a wider criticism of Shuaibu by Kperogi, who, according to the ADG, accused the media aide of intellectual dishonesty and plagiarism.

The ADG said Shuaibu had previously built a public profile around his “Mind Your Grammar” platform and appearances on television and radio programmes, where he was reportedly regarded by some members of the public as an authority on English language usage.

The group alleged that Shuaibu subsequently copied materials from Kperogi’s published works and reproduced them on his Facebook platform and during some of his media engagements.

The statement quoted Kperogi as describing Shuaibu in strongly worded terms over the alleged conduct, while also referencing a comment attributed to lawyer and public commentator Abdul Mahmoud, who allegedly described Shuaibu as “a serial plagiarist, a master crook.”

The ADG said the allegations had raised questions about integrity and accountability among political actors and their associates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The group further criticised the continued association between Shuaibu and Atiku, asking whether the former vice president and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) were aware of the allegations against the media aide.

According to the statement, the group believes Shuaibu should publicly acknowledge the alleged plagiarism, apologise to Kperogi and other persons whose intellectual works he may have used without proper attribution, and fulfil any financial compensation reportedly pledged to Kperogi.

The ADG also called on Shuaibu to temporarily withdraw from public engagements, arguing that his continued presentation as an authority on English language and public relations could undermine public confidence in his professional credibility.

The group said it would support legal action by concerned citizens if Shuaibu failed to address the allegations.

It further urged Atiku and the ADC to consider disengaging Shuaibu from his media role if he failed to voluntarily step aside, arguing that his continued retention could damage the image of the former vice president and the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

The ADG concluded by citing questions attributed to Kperogi about the standards by which individuals are elevated to positions of responsibility and celebrated in society.

The group said the controversy should serve as a reminder of the need for integrity, accountability and respect for intellectual property in public life.
