Business / Re: CBN Insists Banks Can’t Pay Dividends From FX Revaluation Gains by Validated: 2:59pm On Mar 15 |
Is CBN confused? CBN should also tell us if such revaluation can be reported as profits (extraordinary gains). Would CBN be prevailing on FIRS to exempt those profits from Companies Income Tax? Would CBN have asked the banks to create a revaluation loss account if the reverse was the case or would they have been asked to write-off such losses? 22 Likes 5 Shares |

Politics / Niger Junta Won At Last ... by Validated: 6:44pm On Mar 13 |
With the reopening of Niger-Nigeria border and Nigeria's borrowing of $1.3b for the Kano-Maradi rail, one can easily say the Nigerien juntas are now clinking glasses of wine. After all initial gra-gra, the baba blu bulaga in Aso Rock succumbed to his Northern masters. The "Lagos" strategist buckled under pressure from IBB, Buhari and a few Northern senators. ECOWAS led by Tinubu officially threw Mohamed Bazoum under the bus and officially open the floodgates for any coup plotters to latched on. Oma sè ooo! By the way, who can help us understand the economic viability of the Kano-Maradi rail. Is it not Stupidity to sink $1.3billion (N2.2T) in such a useless venture when back home, we have no light, no functional refinery, minimum wage has become "minimum wages of sin" or death. Ebim pawa is ravaging our streets, bandits are kidnapping enmass daily? Who do us like this? Na my Niger-Delta people I pity self. Our oil will be used to finance Niger Republic standard gauge rail, while we have no road. May God punish all Niger-Delta-leaders, starting from Akpabio, through Wike to Amaechi and Oshiomole. 1 Like 1 Share |

FreeStuffsNG:Nonesense. You are borrowing $1.3 billions to finance "Stupidity" and you are singing praise. What is the economic viability of that rail? What is the payback period? Is it not madness to borrow N2.2T to finance a waste, when such should have been used to relieve our dead power plants? Tinubu is truly a slave to the North 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Politics / Re: Solution To Nigerians To Avoid Unprecedented Suffering, Consider It Now by Validated: 12:04pm On Mar 13 |
There is only one option or solution left for Nigeria. Divide into 10 or more confederated republics. Then let the poor ones either fuse together and join Niger or Chad and allow the viable ones to thrive. What we have now is a contraption with the very poor North milking the healthy South. That cannot be sustained and things will keep on getting bad as the lazy ones will keep pulling the hardworking ones down. Corruption will increase and kidnapping will escalate. This Tinubu regime as bad as it is will be better than the next. Look back and see. Obj was better than Yaradua, Yaradua was better than GEJ, GEJ was better than Buhari and Buhari is already better than Tinubu. Truth is, this cycle will continue. Just go and check, with the kind of debt we are carrying, nothing will change in the next 25 years. Naira will keep on depreciating, electricity will remain bad and our output may never exceed 6000 Megawatts. Poverty will keep ravaging the land. Election rigging, banditry, homelessness, etc will continue unchecked. Nobody can solve the problem now. We have sunk so deep that in 10 years, Haiti and Sri Lanka will be dress rehearsal. Mark it! By the time the over 10 million uneducated and hungry almajiris become men and move down South, you will know what's up. If you are waiting for things to change, you will wait tire. 2 Likes |

Shaibu is gone already. His cup became full when he went to Wadata to ask for certificate of return. He even threatened PDP in their Headquarters.
