You'll be at a disadvantage from the start if you don't adequately describe the position you're hiring for. To ensure that you're attracting the proper individuals, it's critical to be upfront about the position.

It's possible that the position you're attempting to fill isn't glamorous or it doesn't pay well. If that's the case, don't bother trying to make it look great. When the truth comes out, you will, at best, have wasted everyone's time.

At worst, you'll hire a capable employee only to discover later that the work doesn't match their skills, interests, financial plans, or personality. That employee is more likely to be dissatisfied and quit as soon as a better opportunity presents itself.
