Chapter 3: Accidental cruise to Cuba

The gang still needs cash to pull out more jobs in Saint Denis, including a bank heist and the Pinkertons proved to be closer than anyone thought. The heist went sideways: Police appeared and killed Lenny, and Pinkerton Agent Milton shot and killed Hosea, everyone's most trusted lieutenant and father. Arthur, Dutch, Javier, Bill and Micah hide on a ship to escape the authorities in the ensuing confusion. When the ship sets sail, it was capsized by a massive storm, Arthur finds himself and the gang washed up on Guarma Island, where the slave prisoners and locals fight a tyrannical owner of the sugar plantation.

They end up turning the tides in favor of the rebels by accident. They also helped against soldiers in several skirmishes as they seek an escape from the island. The Dutch kills an old woman, blows up a sugar refinery and sinks a Cuban warship with a tropical paradise in the background. Leaving the island was not in any way easy, but the gang finally managed to get on a boat bound for America after bringing down the tower in which the island's dictator is.

Chapter 2: The Grays and the Braithwaites

They flee south to the city of Rhodes, where the effects of the Civil War are still felt. The gang disguised as reformed people and managed to get even half of them deputized with the sheriff. Always opportunistic, the Netherlands sees a possible payout in the play of two rival families: the Grays and the Braithwaites on both sides. The rumor is that they hoard gold from the Civil War, which is just ripe for picking, while stealing each other's horses and burning fields, so Dutch play their rivalry.

When the machinations of the Dutch are found, however, the families turn on the gang. The Grays ' ambush claims the life of Sean MacGuire, the young and crazy Irish thief. The Braithwaites kidnapped as revenge the son of John Marston, Jack. After the gang kills most of the family in retaliation, the Braithwaite matriarch reveals she sold Jack to Lord Angelo Bronte of the crime of Saint Denis.

Fortunately, the man took good care of young Jack and without much trouble returned the boy. He mocks Dutch and even tips them about a cash- filled tram station.

However, the gang turns on Bronte after the tram station job which turned out to be a trap. They plan to hold him for ransom after they have decimated his henchmen and captured him.

Bronte insults the Dutch too often, so he does the sensible thing: He drowns the Italian and throws him at the gators, shocking everyone.

The Braided Mistletoe Arrows

You fight Baldur, the main antagonist of the game, several times in God of War. His mother Freya used magic to grant him invulnerability after predicting his death. While this made him one of the realm's most tremendous gods, the spell also removed his ability to feel anything.

This spell had a weakness, like all Vanir spells: mistletoe. Although inspired by the original Norse myth, you also discovere this in- game when Baldur punches Atreus and cuts his hand on the arrowhead of the mistletoe holding the quiver of the boy. This breaks the spell, making Baldur vulnerable. The story is compelling, but it raises several questions.

Only after receiving a bundle of mistletoe arrows from Sindri did Atreus have the arrow piece in his possession. Although given as a gift to save his life, you have to ask why the dwarf possessed mistletoe arrows. Why did he choose arrows made from the only material capable of hurting Baldur from everything he could have given Atreus? When Freya later takes the arrows from Atreus and destroys them, things get even more messy, but somehow he misses the piece on his quiver.

As a user on Reddit pointed out, despite appearing throughout the game, Sindri never appears when Freya is there. Did Sindri avoid Freya because he knew the weakness of Baldur and wanted to break the spell through Atreus? To be an accident seems too convenient.

Chapter 1: On The Run From The Law

The 2018 Red Dead Redemption 2 title is misleading. In fact, it is a prelude to Red Dead Redemption in 2010, telling the story of the infamous gang Van der Linde when it was still intact.

The game starts with the gang of Van der Linde licking their wounds in a snowstorm after a heist went wrong. They must move forward without their rightfully stolen money from a ferry heist in Blackwater, because the less luck outlaws and robbers like them appear to have as the West becomes more civilized. All they need is enough money to start new lives, and Dutch leader plans to raise that cash via train robbery.

This draws the ire of oil baron Leviticus Cornwall, who owned the gang robbery train. He hires the nemesis of the gang, the Pinkerton Detective Agency, to get the crew of Van der Linde, who are still doing strange (criminal) jobs in the city of Valentine following the train. The Pinkertons threaten and try to sell out Dutch to Arthur Morgan, the protagonist of the game. The Netherlands continues to assure everyone that the next job will be the last, but their time in Valentine town ends in a shootout with the men of Cornwall. They must move on, and quickly, as criminals still dogged by the law and their lives.

Vasaratti

Just finished with Red Dead Redemption 2, decided to write a diary of everything I understood from the video game.

Hope you enjoy it wink wink

*Spoilers*

Red Dead Redemption has all the elements of a proper Western: Gritty protagonists, organizing their own version of justice, a crime- ridden desert backdrop, and long- awaited showdowns with shootout that keep everyone on edge. In addition, the Houser brothers gave the game an emotional narrative full of heists and chases that gel well with the Rockstar brand.

Red Dead became one of the most revered gaming series, and the story began with Red Dead Revolver's release back in 2004. Red Dead Revolver's "Red" is Red Harlow, who is on a familiar mission to avenge the death of his family. Red became a bounty hunter after his father was double- crossed by his partner, capturing and killing all kinds of ne'er- do- wells.

He discovers the men responsible for the deaths of his parents in the well- intentioned pursuit of being paid for the removal of outlaws (and an evil circus). Red wins in the battles that followed. Of course. Although not by itself the most remarkable game, Revolver set the stage for more stories to unfold in the lawless West. The next games would tell the better- and more epic- story of an outlaw seeking redemption, his story inevitably ending in bloodshed.

Atreus single-handedly kills dozens of Dark Elves

One of Atreus' major turning points happens during the mission "The light of Alfheim." when fighting their way to the middle of the Dark Elf hive, Kratos enters the light. Within, he experiences a sequence of visions over what, to him, appears like a couple of days.

When Atreus pulls his father out of the light, you discover days has passed, during which the boy had to look after himself.

In an exceedingly heart-wrenching scene, Atreus yells at Kratos for leaving him behind again, asking his father why doesn't care. This confrontation happens amidst piles of Dark Elf corpses, hinting at how long Kratos left Atreus alone. Less clear is how Atreus managed to kill such a big amount of Dark Elves on his own, even with the Leviathan Axe in his possession.

The scene happens earlier within the game, at a point when Atreus had no magic arrows. Just a few scenes back, he had trouble hunting; currently, you are meant to believe he sent waves of Dark Elves throughout a solo run. This comes after an entire mission of Kratos struggling to try to do the same to reach the light in the initial place.

Some players believe he went into survival mode, coming into a protracted amount of rage that allowed him to kill such a lot
of opponents. along with his heritage, it's doable he tapped into some hidden well of power. Others feel this additional supports the split personality theory, or this was his first step on the path to turning into Loki
Gaming / Youtuber Pewdiepie Has More Subscriber Than The Whole Population Of Germany by vasaratti: 7:38pm On Feb 10, 2019
Over the past few weeks and months, two titans of the vlogging game have been battling it out to see who is the top dog.

And in an exciting turn of events, Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg has made a strong case to take the crown as his channel now has more subscribers than the entire population of Germany, which is 82,887,000 people.

Better known as PewDiePie, the Swedish comedian and gamer has amassed an army of some 82,979,421 subscribers to his YouTube channel - at the time of publication

Last year the controversial 29-year-old saw his popularity skyrocket with a 700 per cent surge in monthly subscribers in October.

This was after he launched a campaign to boost his following in a bid to fight off competition from T-Series, an Indian company that primarily shares Bollywood music videos.

And it's a good thing he did, because according to analysis from Tubular, PewDiePie would have been knocked off his perch by 29 October if he hadn't - something which the social media star was obviously never going to let happen.

PewDiePie now has more subscribers than there are people living in Germany. Credit: PA

PewDiePie begged viewers to 'smash subscribe', and they didn't disappoint with some of his devoted fans even going out and sticking up posters in cities across the world encouraging people to follow his channel. If only they had that much get up and go about things that really mattered. Sadly not.

But it wasn't regular fans that pushed him over the threshold last year, it was the support of two other big name YouTubers.

Logan Paul and Mr Beast threw their substantial weight behind the campaign. The former said he would donate to charity if people subscribed, while the latter paid for radio ads and billboards promoting PewDiePie, according to Business Insider.

The fellow vlogger even did a 12-hour live stream in which he said 'PewDiePie' 100,000 times. The video has been watched more than nine million times.

Another fellow Youtuber, Davide Biale, better known as Davie504, stuck his colours to the mast when he flew to India to sing Pewd's diss track, B***h Lasagna, outside the headquarters of T-Series.

An utter waste of time but kind of impressive at the time time.

Business Insider calculated that PewDiePie gained 13 million subscribers between September and December - almost double the amount gained in the entirety of 2017. In December alone, 6.62 million people subscribed to his channel, representing a 700 percent acceleration in growth on September.

Consequently, he remains top dog in the YouTube world and it doesn't look like he plans on moving out of the way for anyone.

But with rival T-Series boasting more 82,741,000 subscribers, the war rages on.

Who blew the horn in Midgard?

Jörmungandr, the world Serpent, inhabits the Lake of 9, watching over Tyr's temple.

According to Freya, Jörmungandr appeared within the lake at some point and has remained there ever since. A horn close by can be used to summon the serpent from the watery depths.

Kratos and Atreus encounter the world Serpent more than once throughout their adventures, even getting into his belly to look for a misplaced sculpture. throughout the mission "The illness," Kratos rushes Atreus to Freya once he falls sick. whereas on the way to her hut, you hear the blow of the horn in the space.

Though Mimir comments on the incidence, the game never explains who blew the horn, exploit players to marvel why Santa Monica Studio included the detail. many theories have cropped up, attributing the action to Modi, Thor, Baldur, Sindri, Odin, and even future Atreus.

A tweet from Cory Barlog further added a lot of fuel to the fire, posing the question, "Who would be walking in their footsteps searching for them?"

Inspired by Norse mythology, a favourite fan theory suggests Heimdall is the offender and the horn in question is Gjallarhorn. though Heimdal doesn't appear within the game, he has robust ties to each Mimir and Loki. The Prose Edda describes Gjallarhorn as having a blast that "can be detected in all the worlds" and says that Heimdal would blow upon it to signal the beginning of ragnarok.

With Cory Barlog at the helm, the answer might be: "grin) None of the above."

If only the people behind the Sonic movie could follow with this design... I'm not saying the early design that was leaked was bad or anything, but this looks way better

One of Nintendo's 2018's major game, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, stars over seventy of gaming's most popular characters — from Super Mario to Mega Man.
It's the most detailed many of those characters have ever looked, however it's still off from the extent of detail of the biggest PlayStation and Xbox blockbusters.
The creative person behind the gorgeous, highly-detailed "God of War" has been reimagining major "Super Smash Bros." characters on Twitter — to humorous and frightful results.

What would it seem like if the high-resolution, super-high detail art style of 2018's incredible "God of War" was applied to a number of Nintendo's most iconic characters?

God of War's art director Raf Grassetti is answering specifically that question on his Twitter feed, wherever he is been drawing up new versions of major Nintendo characters like Bowser and Samus Aran.

Gaming / EA Blame Single-player For $3.7 BILLION Dollar Loss by vasaratti: 1:51am On Feb 09, 2019
Vasaratti

Despite the launch of the great battle royale shooter Apex Legends, EA have had a pretty terrible week. After reporting their earnings for the previous financial quarter in a recent shareholder conference, which were apparently disappointing across the board, their stock plummeted 13.3% - the steepest single-day decline since 2008 - netting them a reported loss of $3.7 billion.

Explaining why their performance came in under projections, EA discussed their new plan for Madden not appealing as broadly as they would have hoped, but one of the main culprits seemed to have been Battlefield V. At launch back in November there were reports that sales were down, but now we know that the publisher expected to sell over 8 million copies within the quarter, of which it only managed 7.3 million.

What's more interesting, though, are the reasons EA gave for this underperformance. Taking aim at the game's story, CFO Blake Jorgensen explained that the developer's focus shouldn't have been on the single-player portion of the experience, but rather the battle royale mode, Firestorm, which had to be delayed until March 2019. The lack of this mode, which in part made Call of Duty: Black Ops IV such a massive success, is apparently being viewed as Battlefield V's biggest problem.

This was bandied around along with other excuses, including a "poor start" for the marketing campaign and a competitive Fall window, but it's clear that the publisher still believe single-player is actively harming their revenue stream. It's interesting that EA would put the blame on these elements, rather than acknowledge the pushback the game received from its initial trailers, or the way the game has been supported post-launch, with DICE making controversial changes to entice new players, only to go back on them a few weeks later when they didn't sit right with the hardcore.

It doesn't really matter why BF V actually disappointed, though, what matters is EA still very much thinks single-player is an unimportant element of its games. That's perhaps to be expected after the cancellation of Visceral's single-player Star Wars game, and shifting their story-driven developers in Bioware over to a live-service shooter in Anthem, but it still brings into question how long the publisher will continue to include a solo modes in their titles.

The Writings Of The Raven Keeper

Three codex entries stand out among the bits of traditional knowledge you gather throughout God of War, authored by an entity referred to as the Raven Keeper. They speak of Odin sealing off jaunt Asgard and Svartalfheim and conjointly reference the globe Serpent and Tyr's temple. In mythology, ravens have a robust association with Odin, making it seem at first glance that he wrote the documents. the game looks to support this as Odin sends icy ravens to act as his spies. Kratos will destroy these ravens, referred to as the Eyes of Odin, as a part of a side quest.

A closer examination of the phrasing utilized in the entries calls this assumption into question. First, the author refers to Odin by name, conjointly mentioning his title, the Allfather. Second, he calls Thor "noble Thor," like characteristic he's Aesir royalty and therefore of a separate category.

God of War portrays Odin as one thing of a paranoid egotist drunk on his own power. For that reason, it's doable he would possibly write about himself within the third-person. however if Odin did not write the entries, then another entity may be in play. Another look into Norse myth reveals Mimir may very well be the culprit as he gifted Odin with 2 magical ravens in exchange for his eye. maybe the truth will pop out within the next game.

The Fate Of Freyr

One of the enigmatic figures of the game, Freyr is Freya's brother and a frontrunner of the Vanir. although he does not make an on the spot look, God of War references him more than once.

According to the promotional podcast The Lost Pages of Norse Mythology, Freyr worked to foster peace between his folks and also the Aesir tribes. Despite sharing his knowledge of magic and agriculture, the Aesir tried to burn Freyr alive. although the god escaped, the incident led to the Aesir-Vanir war.

While following the light of Alfheim, Mimir reveals Freyr has strong ties to the elves. beyond being one in every of few gods welcome in Alfheim, he has his own temple, a stunning construction to rival the Seven Wonders of the real world.

Within the temple, Atreus discovers a note written by a light Elf. In it, the author reveals they have retaken total of the light of Alfheim. although Norse deity sent forces and his legendary weapon, the god didn't seem to supply aid in person.

Freyr's absence and involvement with each the Aesir and therefore the elves raises plenty of questions. wherever is he? Why will his sister say nothing regarding his absence beyond advising Kratos to not interfere within the Alfheim conflict?

After Kratos and Atreus defeat Svartáljǫfurr, the Dark Elf king, he tells them they've "made a grave mistake." Some believe this hints at a larger mystery however, with such a large amount of missing pieces, this puzzle remains unsolved .

Atreus Mental State

Atreus takes center stage amidst several God of War's mysteries. His true identity was one of the biggest myths of the game, raising many nonreciprocal questions. A future title might resolve these loose threads, however there is a variety of details that have fans scratching their heads.

During a poignant scene on the stream along with his father, angry voices beset Atreus, leaving him in agony. once the words and screams subside, the young protagonist describes an angry uproar, saying the presence "felt evil." Later, he confesses to his father he had often heard voices before.

While in Helheim, once faced with a vision of himself killing Modi, Atreus responds, "That wasn't me." though a potential show of immature denial, the tone of the refusal implies he has no memory of committing the act.

So, what do these freaky occurrences mean? though Mimir says the voices could also be a manifestation of Atreus's growing god-powers, the evil vibes raise a red flag or two. The implied gap in his memory hints at a much bigger problem though, leaving players to marvel at his psychological state.

Some believe these moments hint at a multiple personality, with the Norse deity representing his "evil" identity. or even the outbursts and denial are the simply the facet effects of a young god's transition from childhood into the highs and lows of adolescence. God of War does an honest job of leaving the truth receptive to interpretation.

Offering an exhilarating story, well-developed characters, and gorgeous gameplay, God of War from Sony's Santa Monica Studio is one of the most incredible titles to come out of 2018.

Looking as Kratos wavers between a past of death and betrayal and his new role as a father and mentor was a satisfying experience, taking the franchise to promising and unexpected places.

The plot features twists and turns which will keep you in suspense to the very end. The lore-rich world inhabited by a range of dangerous creatures and enigmatic beings further enhances this narrative. By the end of video game, father, son, and players alike realized that they have only scraped the surface of the complicated world, paving the approach for a heatedly anticipated sequel.

Thrown directly into the action, you are left to piece together details of Kratos' new life and also the challenges he encounters during the journey. With such a big amount of complex characters and storylines, the video game leaves several questions unrequited, setting up the franchise for future installments.

Some mysteries God of War presents are stranger than the others. Set adrift in foreign territory, typically without context, the game leaves you to marvel about stray comments, references, and potential conspiracies. the number of intrigue discovered through dialogue and codex entries is staggering, with some of the more attention-grabbing personas never showing on screen.

With that in mind, here are the puzzling mysteries God of War that makes absolutely no sense

It seems inconceivable at this point, of course, that Netflix could ever become one of these faltering services. If, though, a single game created from a level of investment far lower than that required to create hour after hour of high quality TV and movie content can monopolize as many hours of screen time for as many months as Fortnite has, then startling though it sounds at first, it becomes clear that Netflix is absolutely correct in identifying new ‘social gaming’ experiences as potentially the biggest threat to not just itself, but any of the growing set of video streaming services that consumers already don’t have enough time or money to watch.
