According to a report by Punch, was gathered that the victim was shot during an altercation between the officers of the Federal Operations Unit of the Nigeria Customs Service, Ikeja, Lagos, and some travellers, who boarded an Iyare Motors’ passenger bus travelling to Benin City from Lagos on Sunday.

The number of Permanent Voter Cards in Oyo State is 28,539 higher than the number of registered voters in the state, The PUNCH has learnt. While the aggregate of available PVCs is 2,962,646, the number of registered voters stands at 2,934,107.
A record obtained by our correspondent from the Independent National Electoral Commission’s office in Ibadan, the state capital, on Thursday showed that 2,176,352 PVCs had been collected. But the commission’s Head of Publicity in the state, Mr Olayiwola Awolowo, explained the causes of the discrepancy in the figures.

An attempt by suspected kidnappers to perpetuate their evil act in a church in Lagos yesterday was foiled by vigilant worshippers. We learnt that the three men had disguised as worshippers and sneaked into the popular Celestial Church of Christ, Wonderland Parish, at Alaguntan along New Ipaja Road, in Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos with a plan to kidnap some children

Their plan was however aborted by the mother of one of the children they had targeted who raised the alarm after noticing one of them trying to sneak out of the church auditorium with her baby


One member of the gang was subsequently arrested by the worshipers while the remaining two escaped.

The suspect who had not been identified was beaten up by angry worshippers before he was handed over to the police.

An 11-year-old boy in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region, Maxwell Ayinbisa is still nursing his wounds over one year after a man poured petrol on him and set him ablaze for allegedly peeping at a woman in a bathroom.

However, the scrambling turned to full blown fight and fracas after the man chose Blessing to the astonishment of Amaka and Chioma.
