The episiotomy site was damn painful.
the second day post delivery, we took baby Omotola for immunization, I followed them,, I went to clear all the bill myself before my mum and dh came back from mosque..
I just realized that me that have been walking well found it difficult to walk smartly anymore due to pain from episiotomy site... naso all d mamas that came for visit they say diff things...,u are not strong,, stop pampering dis thing, sit very well,, rub ur bombom on chair very well.. walk straight...and all sort.. Damn!!!! the pain was just too much..

then I observed that my lochia was smelling... I was so pissed at point that I shouted my mum from d toilet and asked if dat is how it smells she said yes dat sebi I dey do menses and I was like my menses doesn't smell like dis... I changed pad every 1 hour due to d odour and it got soaked very fast..dh was also complaining dat d odour is much.. I sent my Mum air freshener to always used in d toilet...

I was doing my sitz bath religiously like 3 to 4times daily but no difference in d pain.. people keep on talking to me dat I was pretending.
day 5;:: when people started arriving for naming, I called my elder brother's wife who is a nurse to s bathroom and asked if dat is how lochia smells she answered yes.... when my elder sister came I did d same she said no that her own doesn't smell like dat.... I asked like 5 diff people lik that and they said yes ...... hmmmmm

I had to put my alarm every one hour to change before the thing will ooze out...I continue bearing d pain, very sharp one... I called my doc and one of nurse and they told me I was not doing my sitz bath well......
day 7,,,, naming ceremony day. come and see me walking stylishly and people were making comments dat I ought to have been walking well. na so I went to one corner and called my doc. I asked him if he will be coming for naming as promised he said he is not dt he was busy.

I pleaded to him that am in serious pain that he should come and he asked if dia is wia to examine me and I said no problem... he came around 5 .pm.that day and examined me in my dh room. he told me to assume a lithotomy position and he asked me "did I stuck pad Inside me? i was like for what"
he requested for hand gloves and I gave Him,,he did VE for me and he saw a PAD inside me. it smells like mad that people outside were shouting and ranting waht could be smelling... and tears rolled down my eye.... In all I thank God.. I was placed on heavy antibiotics immediately... the pad has even changed color sef....

sorry for any error,,,I could not read over it again cos my lo is crying.
I thank God Almighty that I didn't come down with postpartum sepsis before it was detected and I thank God for my life

I guess it was the midwife or whoever that helped you deliver put that....She should have told you she put pad inside of you.....nawaoooo.... Thank God ooooo

Mamas abeg when will I go back to my skin color ie my neck n tummy darkened during preggo, I gave birth 2 weeks ago. When should I start using my normal cream n bath soap?.

My Dear, I had a third degree tear (tear almost reaching the anus) too. The pain was out of this world . I was very careful about it opening up cos I dreaded restitching .... then one day I did what you did...looked at my vjay in the mirror...I was depresed and ashamed of my body....chai....would I ever return to normal? I had this sensation that something was rubbing in between my legs lik a loosed skin..I went back to be reexamined...this happened 2times before my 6weeks checkup. ...go to be checked. ...that's the only way to allay your fears

OK dear...no unbearable pain...just that feeling of something went on down there,i gave birth a week and 5 days ago...in fact the pain reduced after that thread fell off

Mamas I am really depressed...I just looked at my stitched site...my tear went close to my anus,not a small one ooo. After urinating the day before yesterday I noticed something sticking out from my vagina...I drew it out,it was stinking, and then my discharge had same smell(2 days before I saw that). After drawing it out,my next discharge had no smell...So today, I looked at my tear site,I could see my red skin,it was as if it was open..I don't know if I can bear another stitching..and funny enough I don't pass gas via my vagina.I am just depressed!. Will it heal on it's own?

It's called plastibel. Plastibel circumcision. It's neat and less stress.

@mummide, pls don't use spirit on your baby's circumcision site. Vaseline or penicillin ointment will do.

My baby's was 9 days old when we did, home service by a nurse from FMC. After the whole thing, she told us to apply only penicillin and the ring fell off exactly 4 days.

Note: I apply the penicillin religiously, during every nappy change.

Jst relax ur mind, he will b fine. My son was given bcg n circumcised same day sef.. We did well...jst give paracetamol after circumcision... Use original Vaseline blue seal on it, shikena.. No wahala.

Same thing happened today... bcg and circumcision....my main problem is how to make him not touch the circumcised area

My baby got circumcised when he was three weeks old and did not cry at all, during the circumcision and in the days after. The only time he cried was when he was getting strapped to that contraption or whatever to restrain his hands and legs (He hate not having his limbs free). So your baby might also not cry. But if he does, I guess all you can do is feed him and make him as comfortable as possible.

Moms here might have other suggestions as well

What of his Pampers? ,Did u wear him one after? And how did u control him not touching the wound

So tomorrow we are getting circumcised and I heard it's painful and makes Lo cry uncontrollably for days or so I feel like I might cry with him tmrw .pls mamas is there anything I can do to help with the pain?

Hmmmm...my dear,I pray ooo...I was poured and massaged with oil ooo...yet I still saw myself been sewn later...

So on Saturday early morning by 12am,I started having intense contractions...I downloaded the contraction timer and started timing it..they were 7 mins apart lasting for a min...I decided to chill till morning to head to the hospital but as a FTM,I decided to give my self sense and seek opinion from people.. I came on here and asked,two abi three lovely mamas (God bless you people ) responded in one tone of going to the hospital..My hubby boiled hot water put inside flask,packed bags put inside car...lol..off we went to the hospital by 4am..the contraction pain was intense but I could bear the pain. We got to the hospital, my hubby started shouting nurse ooo nurse oo..where are the nurses now? Someone is in labour o...I looked at him and said "but I am not in labour yet now" . Imagine.
Anyway, a nurse checked me and was like I am 2cm dilated..I shouted just 2 In this pain?? She advised I begin to climb stairs, I obliged...climbed stairs close to 3hrs...mamas guess what? I was checked again and I was just 2.5cm I started shouting, my enemies are at work ooooo...what have I done to people o...as at then the pain no be here again.. the nurse decided to inject me and gave me drip..I started vomiting, vomited two times,the pain became so so unbearable..I started speaking in tongues and shouting. People and nurses were like I should stop shouting. I responded; leave me let me shout,as far as after shouting my baby will come out,let me shout oooo. In all these altercations, I never noticed I was bleeding. It was when the nurse checked me again that she noticed cos I was in so much pain that If you slap me I will not notice. She rushed n called the doctor, the doctor said it was heavy show.. hmmm,I changed close to 5 pads before I was even taken to the main delivery room.The drip was taken off me and I was told to lie down in the 2nd delivery room. But mehnnnn, I started contracting every 2 min that I will start shouting norsuoooo norsuoooooo (who phoney epp) I don't even know if I later got to 10cm,I stopped asking even, all I know is that I was taken to the main delivery room. Okay,time to push...I pushed ooo...they said woman you are just screaming... I said haaaaa....next contraction came I was told to push...I just kukuma splashed them my urine . They started mumbling, I pleaded sorryoooo, you know this is my first time oooo... after close to 15 pushes and 10 poo . My BBB came out by 1:56 pm weighing 3.5kg.Choiiiiiiiiii....whether it was the nurse or my baby that gave me this tear that almost reached my bombom, I no know... let me not even lament about episiotomy pain, I just thank God for everything.

People oooo....mamas oooo....i just gave birth to a bouncing baby boy oooo....weighing 3.5kg at1:56pm today....hmmmm mamas, LABOUR is real oooooooo....BS story later ooooo

I hope your hospital isn't far from your house and they have a resident Dr. If yes, you may head out now if you have the means.
If no, just keep breathing through your mouth to ensure baby gets a lot of oxygen, lie on your left please and ask dh to massage your back. Don't eat or drink anything anymore.
Monitor your baby's movements.... they usually rumble and tumble kicking hard and stretching..... it's a good sign.
Don't be scared..... women like you have been doing this since time immemorial..... you can do same too.

I need you all....I noticed my bloody show his morning which kinda continued till evening... so I decided to go to the hospital just to check and all, I wasn't having painful contraction then...After the Doc checked, he said my cervix hasn't fully opened...but he didn't tell me how many cm or whatever, I even forgot to ask..He then said I can go home. but now the contraction is very painful oooo....having it for 1 min 24 seconds at 7/8 mins interval...waiting for the next contraction like

My birth story
At 37 weeks i started experiencing signs of labour like menstral like pains,but it does not last long
On d 19th at night i started having menstral like pains n i saw small
Muccu plug.i told my mother inlaw about it,d next day which is on d 20th she den called my mother to come to d house and told her about what i saw and my mother told her that i should prepare that labour will start at anytime.
So in the evening around 4pm my mother inlaw said we should go to d hospital so that they can check if i am dialating the doctor checked and said that my cervix is not soft yet.
He den checked my Bp it was very high he den checked d
Baby's heart beat her's was high too.he den said dat he is not going to allow me to go home.dey started monitoring my Bp and dat of my baby every 2 hours and i was on drip too.if it would normalise so that he can induce me,my bp reduced but baby's own was was still still high.he den called my mother inlaw and my mom and told dem that d only way out is for dem to carry out cs .i started crying and asking God y me because i was imaging the pains i was going to pass through.well i later accepted my faith and said i will
Pass through pains for my baby to be alive.
On the 21st which is Wednesday around to 5 in d evening i was wheeled to d theater i was administerd some injections and i slept off.
I was later told that baby came out almost dead that dey had to beat her trow her up remove water from her nostrils before she started crying.and if i delayed it would have been another story.baby came out weighing 3.2kg at 38 weeks 5days.

Note:at the general hospital where i wanted given birth dey never told me i had protien in my urine and that my bp was high.it was the doctor at private hospital dat told me about all dis that am having preeclamasia.he was very angry about this and was like didn't they tell u about all dis at the hospital where u registered.
I just thank God that i n my baby is healthy and alive.

I will just run for my dear life oh. I don't have energy for story.
My marriage is just a year and half. MIL and FIL are saying is like we can't have children that's why I haven't conceived yet. Once someone calls me iyawo they will say iyawo that refused to get pregnant. So now that I am pregnant I will guide it jealously. They are not even aware I'm pregnant. So I wouldn't take chances oh.

My story

I was 41weeks gone last week Monday, Went for ANC last week weds (due to the public hols) , met a doc n was told to come to the hospital this past Monday if I didn't fall into labor by last week sun, according to him the policy is induction or Cs is carried out after 10days post EDD , so I got home told do n MIL, dh was in support so Mil's objection (religious beliefs) was not important.
Fast forward to sun, around 11pm started having contractions, wasn't too sure as I've has 2 false labor, so I started timing n it was abt 4mins apart, I told dh, baby is coming. In fact I was pacing the room till 3:15am wen I told dh to prepare hot water for me to bath, we got to the hospital exactly 5am, baby's hrt beat was checked n was OK , but I wasn't dilating, so I had a hot bath there, was told to go n eat the come bck.
I stepped out for just 2hrs n came bck, na so story change ooooo. Baby's hrt beat couldn't be traced, I said God forbid, went for scan n it was confirmed. My world came crashing dwn, I started crying. I was told to pray instead, I did o, yet nothing g happened.
The labor reduced, so I couldn't push, and the doc said u can't be operated upon, that I have to be induced. Hmmmm, na so I carry dead baby since Monday morning till evening wen I was induced. Tuesday morning, serious contractions but no labor, long and short is the had to augment the contractions ooooo, that was Tuesday afternoon, n was delivered of my hefty looking tall n cute boy by 1:50am on Wednesday morning. Underwent and episiotomy yet couldn't hold my baby. My dh cried like a baby.

I thank God for my life, I surrender all to him. I knw he will give me multiples for my trouble.

Would have luved to rest till next yr b4 trying but dh said for where? Lolsss. Anyways I knw I will come n reg for next yr sha, Cox I knw God will smile on us again.
