I was agreeing with you until I saw "Shaw". As hard as it may sound, Shaw is a better left back than Telles. Shaw is way better defensively. Telles only beats Shaw in the front (ability to drive forward and make good crosses). Watch both of them critically and you'll see...

defensively telles is suspicious but it covers up for his progressive play. If you observe him closely, whenever he's on the ball, his head is up looking for a "forward" pass unlike shaw that will prefer to give back pass huh

We need attacking fullbacks that will contribute to attacks
