Please is it compulsory to include any English test or can I include my Waec result?

You don’t need it. Where did you See it as a required document? Don’t overcomplicate things for yourself

1. Just the data page is fine, its the applicant that needs all pages of their passport for visa application

2. The fund availability date relates to things like fixed deposits that mature on a particular date. If the money is in a savings or current account, you can put in 'immeidately'

Yes, while some universities would wave it, it’s a requirement for visa application so I suppose it’s best to have it and not require it than not to have it at all.

Yes most master courses are for 1 year

Typically you get 2 years post study visa after your studies during which you should be able to find a job that offers sponsorship (critical or general)


Students job are available but it depends on your tenacity and your time management skills to manage both


Yes you have to take English test for both admission and visa purposes.

I understand where you are coming from, but you have to look at the bigger picture.

How about social amenities, good roads, power supply, security, potable water, and internet? Also consider the possibilities it opens up for when you have kids.

I believe you have to make this decision holistically; it sounds like you are in a good place, but there is better, and I believe that's what you should strive for.

Can I take the insurance for 6 months for visa applications?

I think it’s usually for a year. 6 months will not fly as it’s for the duration of your course

These guys released only one sheet of names today. i have submitted since July 10th but my name is not there. its starting to look somehow oh.

There could be any number of reasons for that; you just have to wait it out or send them a mail as regards the delay.

This is quite abnormal, have you sent a chaser mail? Also check your application number on the decisions list. All the best. If all fails maybe ring them

Hello I just submitted my application for Ireland study visa on the 26Th August 2024, while resumption at TUD is on the 16th… I am hopeful that a positive decision comes early.

Also I didn’t make an extra copy of the bank statement i submitted to keep personally,does that matter or is it a document requested for at the port of entry too?

Ideally, they would just ask for your school documents and maybe accommodation proof, so you should be fine without the bank statement. Also, this is peak season, as most schools resume from the 9th of September so there might be a queue ahead of you but on the bright side last weeks list was just 3 pages long so maybe their workload is light. All the best.

Most schools would accept a 50% payment for visa application purposes but insist on full payment before school resumes in mid September
Sure as long as you have access to both and have sufficient amount in both account to cover your living expenses
I don’t know the portal been used, I would guess they are all within a few cents of each other. So any would be fine since I’m assuming you are doing pounds to euro

I recently book a group appointment for myself and my family. On getting to the VFS Centre, I was told to book another appointment for them since I am the only one going for employment and their visa category is join family non-EEA.
Since then I have been trying to book the appointment but I keep getting INVALID REFERENCE NUMBER error.
Is there anybody who has experience
this before and how do I go about it.

You’d need to fill out a new pre clearance and generate a new reference number. Same thing happened to me

N not knowing I’ve to put the 2 year balance tuition and the living expenses for 3 year which Weill sum up to €30,000 and I’ve already submitted the online visa application before realizing this. Please what’ll you guys advise us to do especially since they always query lump sums and we’ll be doing that on short notice, and this huge sums I’ll have to move it from my business account to my personal account since I’m the Sponsor.

Please is it advisable to get a one way ticket or a round (to and fro) ticket to Ireland for studies. Please treat as urgent before someone makes a mistake.

One way if you are going to study unless you want to leave the return open, if not one way will be fine.
