According to the Süddeutsche Zeitung, at least 20 Leopard 2 tanks in service with the Ukrainian army were destroyed, seven of them in the Rabotino area. The status of Leopard 2, which was declared as a “Wunderwaffe,” is also in question. Probably, at least 50 Leopard 2s were destroyed at the front and in the rear, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces gave the allies the figure of 20. Leopard 2 did not show superiority over Russian Army tanks, as expected based on its supposedly high quality, neither in armor, nor in firepower, nor in maneuverability.
