Good morning, I am so grateful for your help...thanks for being my family. God will continue to bless u and your family...from the depth of my heart am so grateful. I wish I had knew this forum earlier...my mum will have been curred. The doctor only mentioned that depositing 400 000 it's just for the drug that will sustain her life...he clearly said "no cure, it has spread" I'll just show her love and make her happy. I'll do everything in my power to make her happy Thanks for your support Am grateful 4 Likes |

Ralphlauren: The Doctor made mention of all these. But there are two problem. He said we would have need alot of money before they start anything which ought to have started until they discover she is probably carrying covid19. We were asked to go for pcr test at Redeemer University Ede. I have called NCDC and they said we should isolate her for 14days. Today makes it 5th day since she has been indoor. I haven't opened twitter and would start working on escalating it as you suggested. On gofundme though, I found out Nigeria is not a supported country. Is there a way I can go around this? Your advice would be appreciated. Thanks |

Lordsonn: I have every evidence needed to prove my case is truth. Pictures and videos. As a matter of fact, you are free to visit Ore for confirmation since we are currently in Ore now. Or maybe if you have someone living within or around Ore, you can ask him/her to help you confirm. We are at Ajegunle street, opposite Government Field Ore. Call my mummy or my number, I will come and pick you there. We were at the OAUTHC Ile-Ife on Friday. She is examined and reported she has Metastatic cancers. |

Ralphlauren: Doctor simply told us it is Metastatic cancer. It is stage four but we don't know how severe it is now except that she can barely use her left leg, and there are multiple sores and injuries on the affected breast. I also do not know the next Doctor's move. |

Dr Arowolo, the Head Doctor who attended to us didn't mention the how much it would cost us in today for the treatments. He only said we would pay N400,000 as initial. We don't know for such what the total estimation for treatment would cost us. I had thought Federal Hospital would be greatly subsidized. I had tried using Gofundme fund raising platform but I found out Nigeria is not a supported country. There are some Nigerians who raised fund on it... To those who have idea how gofundme works, please what and what would I need as a Nigerian to open and use the platform for fund raising? 1 Like 1 Share |

Apologies for not updating the forum since we left for Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hosoital, Ile-Ife on Thurs 7th Aug. We left Ore for Ile-Ife at exactly 8am in the morning, and arrived at the hospital 3 hrs later. We were left unattended to until it was 2pm. We were told there are lot of patients and all Doctors on duty were occupied. We opened folder, a kind of hospital registration, and some Doctors attended to us. During cross examinations, the head surgeon came in and observed the breast. He declared that it is Metastatic cancers. From his explanations, he said it is advance cancer and that it has already spread into her body system. He said the cancer has affected her left leg which developed into difficulties in her mobility. He explained that it is much likely that the cancer would spread into the lung, kidney, heart and brain. He also pointed that there is no possible cure, except only treatments, prayers, and her strength to fight on for survival. The cancer has done a lot of damages, and things cannot be reversed again. The head surgeon took my Dad and another relative who followed us into his office. I later joined them. From the conversation he was having with my Dad, he told us the treatment would cost us a lot of money, also asked how much we have at the moment. He said if we want proper treatment, we would have to pay N400,000 as an initial. This cover chemotherapy among other things. We informed him we have N120,000 at hand, and we would source for the remaining bills. We were asked to pay N68,000 for tests and consumables. Right after making the payments to different departments, Mummy was admitted into her ward. A junior doctor was charged to take different samples from her. However, there was a swift turn when it was around 5:30pm. Another doctor directed that all processes should stop, reason is there was no report on covid19 screening in the file with them. He called us in again, gave us a note, and asked us to go for covid19 confirmation test. At this stage, the Doctors were acting very unprofessional. I went to pay N5000 for the confirmation test. The junior doctor took a blood sample and gave it to me to take it to the covid19 checking department. Result came out after one hour and Mum came out positive. The head doctor on duty told us the result is not a confirmation she carries the virus, but there is high probability she has the virus in her system. He made some explanations which I don't really understand that the sample would be sent to Osogbo for further confirmations, and the result would come in 10days. Since covid19 is now in the picture, I asked him to call NCDC in to handle the confirmation case but he simply tell us NCDC is audio. He then said if we want the final confirmation within five days, we would have to travel to Ede. He said we should go to Redeemer University hospital, Ede, Osun state. This is without any letter or note. He also said the tests on cancer spread would be withheld. We were sent out of the ward. This happened at around 7pm in the night. I had to rush to the park to get a vehicle that take us back to Ore. We arrived Ore at around 10pm. I called NCDC number the next day we arrived. The lady who spoke with me on phone said we should isolate her for 14days, and watch out for some symptoms. She said if Mum has difficulties with breathing, we should call in again. Nothing like dispatching staff for confirmation was mentioned. It is the 3rd day today since we returned from Ife. Hopefully by Tuesday next week, if she does not show any symptoms, we will take her to Redeemer University Hospital at Ede, Osun state for the pcr test. The result would then be taken with us to OAUTHC for the commencement of cancer treatment. However, if she show any symptoms, we would have to call NCDC in. Thanks to everyone who have contributed some funds we have be using so far. I sincerely appreciate everything you've done. Thanks to those who have been calling, encouraging us with prayers and moral supports. I want to say thanks to the user who sent us N100,000, he asked me not to mention his name. I pray God bless you immensely in Jesus name. 14 Likes |
