Yes you can use the maiden name,
You can also send your marriage certificate or proof of change of name if you prefer to change surname (but no need).

. I need an information concerning WES. I'm creating a profile for my wife on WES. Should I use her former surname as it appears on her educational documents before marriage or her new (married) surname?
