So i just finished reading all 1500 pages of Atlas Shrugged. Took me almost a month to digest it all. It was as if i was going through a philososophy text . It pits agressive capitalism against unhealthy socialism. The main characters are strong and successful persons that fight parasitic government intervention. See ehnn.. y' all all need to read this book, i am not good at summaries. I will rate it 9/10. WHO IS JOHN GALT?? FireRain food don land. 1 Like |

Happy sunday FireRain.. Man from st Petersburg, very make sense old school spy story. Enjoy the ride. The century trilogy goes through three generations of families in America and Europe. It tells their individual stories and triumphs. It vividly describes behind the scenes stories of both world wars and the cold war. The second book in the series is actually my favourite World war2 book. You will not regret reading the series, this i promise. 1 Like |

Some people dey look things from just one perspective.. dem no dey listen to reason. British and American soldiers captured by the japs were treated less than animals. The japs believed any soldier should commit suicide instead of being captured. But the japs that were captured by american and other allied armies were treated fairly based on the Geneva treaty on POWs. One mad man will now come here and spew trash. Russians were part of the allied army but breached treaty terms,. They occupied east germany and the polish territories leaving the western armies no choice but to occupy the west. So anybody wey wan talk here make him read him history books well.. Rubbish. |

IAmSkinny: Sorry oo What about the hundreds of thousands of Chinese the Japs killed for sports sir? What are the rules of engagement of the era? I doubt if the US broke any rules using that bomb. .
Compared with all the atrocities committed by nations that engaged in the second world, the USA is a saint. . In fact, Karl Donitz admonished soldiers to avoid Russian troops but rather surrender to Western and American troops. Know why? Baba you are saying the perfect truth. The japs treated their POWs wore than other combatants. Nothing can ever justify the bombing of Nanking and Shanghai by the japanese. |

SegFault: I have the book for your info and nowhere in the book did he say he will slaughter all the Jews. Unless you can highlight where he said it. When it comes to Hitler, it is so unfortunate that even the so called intellectuals throw away their reason and start using nonsense feelings. baba hitle wrote that book before he even became the fuhrer.. In that book he laid the outlines for the systemic extermination of jews. E be like say na only summary u read oohh.. Your matter sef tire me. |

SegFault: It didn't become widespread anything, it was a demon living in your average German back then. Read about Friedrich Nietzsche, he was a philosopher who condemned antisemitism with all his heart. His sister, the man she married, his friends and a lot of people he met were antisemitic bastards. His sister in particular is part of the cause of the Nazi's rise to power. Oga you are diverting the topic. Anti semitism has always been part of european history for centuries.Even Williams Shakespeare described shylock the jew in a bad light. Jews have always been persecuted.. fine.. i agree. But hitler took his to the extreme. He whipped up anti jew sentiments to new heights. How else could he inspire an already defeated people. A people still reeling under the throes of economic depression of the weimer republic. Then came hitler with his oratory skills, his charisma and brilliance. He made the german people see the good in his sick schemes. Hitler lead germany and was the the mastermind behind the holocaust. You cant tell me otherwise. |
