You welcome
Sports7 Reasons Why The English Premier League Is Overrated by vickvilles(op): 7:20pm On Nov 03, 2016
Honestly, forget all that “most competitive” nonsense for a minute.

At the beginning of the season, sure there are about 4–5 contenders, but at the end it's usually just either two teams going neck-and-neck, or, one team having won the league ridiculously early like in April or something (United in 2013).

Here are the REAL reasons why the English Premier League is so “hyped”:

1: Money: and this is probably the central one. England is a global financial powerhouse. Which translates to its football league attracting more quality players, which then translates to more people watching the premier league, which then translates to the league generating more money, and so on and so forth..never-ending cycle. I mean, Alvaro Negredo is playing at Middlesbrough. You think he's there because he's passionate about the club? Bleep no. He's there because he knows he can make more at a shit English side than a decent Spanish side.
2: Language/convenience: English can be regarded as the secondary language in Europe. It is heavily taught in schools and what not. Growing up, many children outright learn English. However that is not the case in England itself when it comes to learning other languages. Most schoolchildren in the UK don't learn either Italian, French, Spanish, or German fluently coming out of school. So it is therefore easier for the rest of Europe to follow a league in which there is no language barrier. You think a bunch of English lads are going to watch Atletico - Sevilla (which is a great match-up/game) at the pub? While the commentator is mentioning players unbeknownst to them in an unbeknownst language? Bleep no. They’d rather watch Everton - Sunderland, and honestly so might the rest of Europe excluding Spain.
3: “Nationalism”: due to the premier league now being a big melting pot, all these foreign nationals now have their fellow countrymen tuning in onto their progress.
4: Relative competitiveness: and I can't emphasize that relative any more. Look at the other leagues. As of late in Germany, France, and Italy it's literally only been Bayern, PSG, and Juventus winning the league. In Spain for the past 12 years, only Barca and Real have won the league (minus Atletico in 2014). So yeah, when you look at all the other one-sidedness across Europe, England is really the only alternative. But are their teams as strong as the rest? Hell no. An English side hasn't won the CL in almost 10 years (bar Chelsea’s once-in-a-millennium run in 2012).
5: Managers: Now, more than ever, there are an array of world class managers in the premiership, which boosts the league’s viewership.
6: TV: When the commercialization of European football multiplied exponentially in 1992, England rode that wave like there was no tomorrow. This ties in really to point #1 though.
7: History: The English invented the sport. And even though the country “only” has one World Cup, England is the Mecca of football.
Feel free to add yours.

The truth is I see amatuers and kids everywhere on that thread,no offence to anyone. The truth is that for someone that understands and knows how sit-in and protest work,IPOB youths are the willing and best instrument to use. But then you need a good strategy on how to keep them motivated and in check.

Trust if you play your game well they will be the first to take to the street and sit in as long as it takes without giving them the opportunity to hijack the sit in.

I am sure Bubu and DSS will be laughing at Nigerian Youth after seeing the disunity in a group that is barely a month old.
sir you think all these efforts and quest for a positive change in these country is a game? An ipob leader as your head? Some members on the other side but practically in your midst are standing by him because he has done well? Sir, once things turn out during the protest that some members in our midst display an ipob flag, will that still be a game to you when the Nigeria army shoots on sight?? Lets call a spade a spade and no sentiment please..we will not affiliate these group with ipob members.. thank you

[quote author=gensteejay post=47769185]Problems like these is what I envisaged from the beginning but I never taught it would come so fast...choosing a leader and other activities were going on in the group but no updates were posted here for all to see or at least a pm...now there are ipobs in our midst and a leader for that matter. I won't be a member to any group that will divide the country..I won't be a part of it..thank you

I'm a youth corper and I have enough members at my disposal.as a cds president I have discussed with my members, and they want a push. They believe in me, I'm in port-Harcourt. Let's do the needful on time and also create an interest for these youth not to be scared or afraid because they need the confidence.

We are not a political group. However, we need to have a say in the affairs of this nation of ours. Politics for me is simply the process of determining who gets what, and who is stopped from getting what; when and how. When I referred to a manifesto, I meant a comprehensive list of our demands. That aside, how do we go about having a team in all the 6 geopolitical zones?
All members should introduce themselves in these thread or create another platform where they can and then we can systematically select two or three each from the geopolitical zones...no leaders here..it's just an avenue for the youths to see that we are not sentimental and tribalist in our quest.. there will be spokesmen for sure...and we need the crowd, when I mean crowd...I mean thousands of youth from the east west north and south storming Abuja..with our mission and targeted objectives. Enough is Enough. Thank you

Johnrake69:
Thank you for that comment... The battle has never been about Apc and Pdp. It's about we the youths and the politicians. Please we need to set up a committee that will meet and draw up our manifesto. Then, report to the house. Also, we need to strategize against possible sell out and how to deal with situations where politicians would want to hijack the struggle for their selfish interest.

Please am sorry if I failed to mention you. Please do contribute. It's abit difficult doing it with my phone.
our mission is not political, we should however endeavour to have a vision and mission, all strategically detailed and analysed... we need the numbers, diverse ethnicity and tribes, this protest and togetherness is for the youth of our beloved country..#Wayforward.. thank you
