People have asked me to re-post this! So here it is again!

Great information!! Cinnamon and Honey...! Drug companies won't like this one getting around.
Facts on Honey and Cinnamon:

It is found that a mix of honey and cinnamon cures most diseases. Honey is produced in most of the countries of the world. Scientists of today also note honey as very effective medicine for all kinds of diseases. Honey can be used without side effects which is also a plus. Today's science says that even though honey is sweet, when it is taken in the right dosage as a medicine, it does not harm even diabetic patients. Researched by western scientists:

HEART DISEASES: Make a paste of honey and cinnamon powder, put it on toast instead of jelly and jam and eat it regularly for breakfast. It reduces the cholesterol and could potentially save one from heart attack. Also, even if you have already had an attack studies show you could be kept miles away from the next attack. Regular use of cinnamon honey strengthens the heart beat. In America and Canada, various nursing homes have treated patients successfully and have found that as one ages the arteries and veins lose their flexibility and get clogged; honey and cinnamon revitalize the arteries and the veins.

ARTHRITIS: Arthritis patients can benefit by taking one cup of hot water with two tablespoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. When taken daily even chronic arthritis can be cured. In a recent research conducted at the Copenhagen University, it was found that when the doctors treated their patients with a mixture of one tablespoon Honey and half teaspoon Cinnamon powder before breakfast, they found that within a week (out of the 200 people so treated) practically 73 patients were totally relieved of pain -- and within a month, most all the patients who could not walk or move around because of arthritis now started walking without pain.

BLADDER INFECTIONS: Take two tablespoons of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey in a glass of lukewarm water and drink it. It destroys the germs in the bladder....who knew?

CHOLESTEROL: Two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of Cinnamon Powder mixed in 16 ounces of tea water given to a cholesterol patient was found to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood by 10 percent within two hours. As mentioned for arthritic patients, when taken three times a day, any chronic cholesterol-could be cured. According to information received in the said Journal, pure honey taken with food daily relieves complaints of cholesterol.

COLDS: Those suffering from common or severe colds should take one tablespoon lukewarm honey with 1/4 spoon cinnamon powder daily for three days. This process will cure most chronic cough, cold, and, clear the sinuses, and it's delicious too!

UPSET STOMACH: Honey taken with cinnamon powder cures stomach ache and also is said to clear stomach ulcers from its root.

GAS: According to the studies done in India and Japan, it is revealed that when Honey is taken with cinnamon powder the stomach is relieved of gas.

IMMUNE SYSTEM: Daily use of honey and cinnamon powder strengthens the immune system and protects the body from bacterial and viral attacks. Scientists have found that honey has various vitamins and iron in large amounts. Constant use of Honey strengthens the white blood corpuscles (where DNA is contained) to fight bacterial and viral diseases.

INDIGESTION: Cinnamon powder sprinkled on two tablespoons of honey taken before food is eaten relieves acidity and digests the heaviest of meals

INFLUENZA: A scientist in Spain has proved that honey contains a natural 'Ingredient' which kills the influenza germs and saves the patient from flu.

LONGEVITY: Tea made with honey and cinnamon powder, when taken regularly, arrests the ravages of old age. Use four teaspoons of honey, one teaspoon of cinnamon powder, and three cups of boiling water to make a tea. Drink 1/4 cup, three to four times a day. It keeps the skin fresh and soft and arrests old age. Life spans increase and even a 100 year old will start performing the chores of a 20-year-old.

RASPY OR SORE THROAT: When throat has a tickle or is raspy, take one tablespoon of honey and sip until gone. Repeat every three hours until throat is without symptoms.

PIMPLES: Three tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder paste. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it off the next morning with warm water. When done daily for two weeks, it removes all pimples from the root.

SKIN INFECTIONS:Applying honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts on the affected parts cures eczema, ringworm and all types of skin Infections.

WEIGHT LOSS:Daily in the morning one half hour before breakfast and on an empty stomach, and at night before sleeping, drink honey and cinnamon powder boiled in one cup of water. When taken regularly, it reduces the weight of even the most obese person. Also, drinking this mixture regularly does not allow the fat to accumulate in the body even though the person may eat a high calorie diet.

FATIGUE: Recent studies have shown that the sugar content of honey is more helpful rather than being detrimental to the strength of the body. Senior citizens who take honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts are more alert and flexible. Dr. Milton, who has done research, says that a half tablespoon of honey taken in a glass of water and sprinkled with cinnamon powder, even when the vitality of the body starts to decrease, when taken daily after brushing and in the afternoon at about 3:00 P.M., the vitality of the body increases within a week.

BAD BREATH: People of South America, gargle with one teaspoon of honey and cinnamon powder mixed in hot water first thing in the morning so their breath stays fresh throughout the day.

HEARING LOSS: Daily morning and night honey and cinnamon powder, taken in equal parts restores hearing.

EYE DISEASES

In a number of ways, the human eye works much like a digital camera:

Light is focused primarily by the cornea — the clear front surface of the eye, which acts like a camera lens.

The iris of the eye functions like the diaphragm of a camera, controlling the amount of light reaching the back of the eye by automatically adjusting the size of the pupil (aperture).

The eye's crystalline lens is located directly behind the pupil and further focuses light. Through a process called accommodation, this lens helps the eye automatically focus on near and approaching objects, like an autofocus camera lens.

4 Light focused by the cornea and crystalline lens (and limited by the iris and pupil) then reaches the retina — the light-sensitive inner lining of the back of the eye. The retina acts like an electronic image sensor of a digital camera, converting optical images into electronic signals. The optic nerve then transmits these signals to the visual cortex — the part of the brain that controls our sense of sight.

COMMOM EYE Diseases

CATARACTS

A cataract is a cloudiness that occurs in the lens inside of the eye. The lens is made mostly of water and protein arranged to let light through. When the protein clumps, light is blocked and the lens appears cloudy. Cataracts are not a disease; we will all develop cataracts as we get older.

A person with cataracts may notice faded colors, problems with light (such as halos, or headlights that seem too bright), or poor night vision.

Treatment

Your eye doctor can detect the presence of cataracts during a thorough eye exam, including a microscopic examination of the inside of the eye. When vision is impaired to a point where it interferes with daily activities, surgery may be done, through which the cloudy substance of the lens is removed and replaced with an intra-ocular lens implant (IOL).

CONJUNCTIVITS (PINK EYE)

Conjunctivitis, is a redness of the eye. It is often accompanied by a discharge and itching or a foreign body sensation.

Causes

Pink eye is most often a viral infection, but may also be caused by bacteria or an allergic reaction. Viral and bacterial pink eye can be highly contagious.

To avoid spreading conjunctivitis, wash your hands often, ( picture cool don't touch the infected area with your hands, don't share wash cloths or towels, and avoid using makeup which may become contaminated. A child with pink eye should be kept from school for a few days. Sometimes your doctor will need to prescribe antibiotic eye drops or ointments to treat conjunctivitis.

DIABETIC RETINOPATHY

Diabetic retinopathy is a condition associated with diabetes. High levels of blood sugar can damage tiny blood vessels in the eye, causing poor circulation. This can cause small leaks in the vessels, and swelling of the retinal nerve layer. Eventually new vessels, which are very fragile, may form to replace the damaged vessels. The new vessels can burst, creating a hemorrhage, and resulting in blurred vision or even blindness.

SYMPTOMS

Symptoms of diabetic retinopathy include:

Blurred or darkened vision

Sudden loss of vision

Risk Factors & Treatment

It is critical for all diabetic patients to have a thorough eye health examination at least every year. When diabetic retinopathy is diagnosed early, medical management, including laser treatment and other surgeries, can be more effective in preserving vision. In addition to diabetic retinopathy, diabetic patients also have a higher risk of developing cataracts at a younger age, and of having glaucoma. If you have diabetes, make sure you control your blood sugar level. This will reduce your risk of getting diabetic eye disease and other complications involving the heart, kidneys, and other organs.

DRY EYE SYNDROME

If your eyes are often itchy or dry, you may have dry eye syndrome. Dry eye syndrome is caused by a lack of, or poor quality of, tears.

Tears lubricate the outer layers of the eye, called the cornea and conjunctiva. If the tears are not composed of a proper balance of mucous, water, and oil, the eye becomes irritated.

SYMPTOMS

Dry eye syndrome leads to a number of symptoms, including

itching,

irritation,

burning,

excessive tearing,

redness,

blurred vision that improves with blinking, and

discomfort after long periods of watching television, driving, using a computer, or reading.

Risk factors

There are many environmental factors that can contribute to dry eye syndrome. These include dry, hot, or windy climates, high altitudes, air-conditioned rooms, and cigarette smoke.

Contact lens wearers, people with drier skin, and the elderly are more likely to develop dry eye syndrome.

You may also be more at risk if you take certain medications, a vitamin-A deficiency, Parkinson's disease, or if you are a woman going through menopause.

GLAUCOMA

Glaucoma is generally caused by too much fluid pressure inside the eye. Fluid in the eye helps to nourish and cleanse the inside of the eye by constantly flowing in and out.

When too much fluid is produced or the fluid is prevented from flowing out, the intraocular pressure increases and damages the optic nerve. This causes a gradual loss in peripheral vision.

Symptoms

Open angle glaucoma is often called the "Sneak Thief of Sight" because it has no symptoms until the disease is in advanced stages. With advanced glaucoma patients develop tunnel vision, where their peripheral field of vision decreases. Glaucoma can eventually cause blindness.

Risk factors & treatment

Heredity seems to be a risk factor. Also, you may be at greater risk if you are over 45, of African descent, very near-sighted, or diabetic. Finally, if you have used steroids or cortisone for a long period of time, or if you have suffered an eye injury in the past, you have a greater chance of developing glaucoma.

Treatment may include prescription eye drops, laser treatment, and other surgeries. The goal of treatment is to reduce the pressure, thereby limiting damage to the optic nerve, and preserving vision.

Macular Degeneration

Macular degeneration is a disease which affects a small area of the retina known as the macula. The macula is the central area of the retina that allows us to see the fine detail of whatever we look at directly. Macular degeneration occurs when the macula is damaged.

Causes & Symptoms

Causes

A number of uncontrollable factors contribute to macular degeneration, including age, sex, eye color, farsightedness, and race. Risk factors you can control include smoking, high blood pressure, exposure to harmful sunlight, and diet.

Symptoms

It is difficult for patients to detect dry macular degeneration in its early stages. The most common symptom is blurred vision. Wet macular degeneration progresses much faster when it occurs. Symptoms include blurred vision and distortion or a dark spot in central vision. Both forms of macular degeneration can cause severe visual impairment.

HealthBlocked Fallopian Tubes by vikyembassy2000(op): 4:31pm On Jul 17, 2016
BLOCKED FALLOPIAN TUBES

Having blocked fallopian tubes is one of the most common causes of infertility in women. In fact, almost 20% cases of female infertility are caused by this problem.

It is in the fallopian tubes, also called oviducts and uterine tubes that the ovum and sperm converge and lead to fertilization. In addition, it helps the mature egg from the ovaries reach the uterus.

An obstruction in the fallopian tube, however, prevents the egg from travelling down the tube. Plus, the blockage also prevents the sperm from reaching the egg, which in turn prevents fertilization.

SYMPTOMS OF BLOCKED FALLOPIAN TUBE(S)

The condition is usually asymptomatic or may be accompanied by only mild symptoms such as abdominal pain during menstruation, irregular ovulation, and other problems associated with female reproductive health. These symptoms, however, do not necessarily point to blocked fallopian tubes.

Thus, more often than not, the condition remains undiagnosed until one tries to conceive. This problem is generally diagnosed through two kinds of tests, that is, HSG (Hysterosalpingogram) test and an intra-vaginal ultrasound.

Nevertheless, it is possible to conceive if there is blockage in only one of the two fallopian tubes.

Partial blockage in the fallopian tubes can increase the chances of ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage.

CAUSES OF BLOCKED FALLOPIAN TUBES

- Pelvic Inflammatory Disease
- Endometriosis
- Salpingitis (infection or inflammation of the fallopian tubes)
- Previous Ectopic pregnancy causing scarring of the fallopian tubes
- D & C or Abortions
- Intra-abdominal Infections like Appendicitis and Peritonitis
- History of Uterine Infections
- Tubal Ligation procedures
- Pelvic Surgery

In addition, the fallopian tubes may become dilated and filled with fluid or pus causing blockage. This condition is called hydrosalpinx.

Moreover, Chlamydia infection can also cause distal tube obstruction.

NATURAL TREATMENTS FOR BLOCKED FALLOPIAN TUBE

Blocked fallopian tubes can be treated with methods like Salpingostomy, Fimbrioplasty, Tubal Reanastomosis, Selective Tubal Cannulation, and so on. Nevertheless, there are certain natural treatments as well that can be used to get rid of this problem WITHOUT UNDERGOING SURGICAL PROCEDURES.

HERBAL REMEDIES

Here are a few herbs that can prove useful in curing tubular blockage by reducing inflammation and promoting blood circulation to the fallopian tubes.

- GINGER
- GINSENG
- goldenseal
- corydalis root
- DONG QUAI
- astragalus root
- RED CLOVER
- calendula ligusticum
- GREEN TEA
- chamomile

Besides, GARLIC can help fight against infections in the reproductive organs and boost immunity, and aid in detoxification (toxins encourage inflammation which in turn can cause scarring in the fallopian tubes).

Similarly, corydalis root stimulates circulation, reduces abdominal pain, and helps flush out toxins from the reproductive system.

Moreover, you can take herbal supplements such as DONG QUAI capsules to reduce tissue congestion, eliminate muscle cramps, and improve circulation to the reproductive organs.

Furthermore, wild yam and peony root promote normal hormone levels that support proper fallopian tube function.
These herbal remedies can take months to work and their effectiveness shall depend on the severity of the blockage.

- FERTILITY CLEANSING aids in detoxification of the reproductive system. In addition, it increases circulation to the reproductive organs. In involves liver cleanse using herbs like milk thistle seed, yellow dock root, DANDELION ROOT, GINGER ROOT,
burdock root, and licorice root, and uterine cleanse using DONG QUAI ROOT, peony root, goldenseal root, raspberry leaf, damiana leaf, and so on.

- CASTOR OIL THERAPY is another natural remedy for blocked fallopian tubes and problems like ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, and so on. For this, you need to prepare a castor oil pack by soaking a piece of soft and clean cloth in castor oil. Place it on your lower abdomen and apply heat on top.

It promotes circulation, stimulates the lymphatic system, facilitates tissue repair, and removes toxins and metabolic wastes from the reproductive organs.

To increase the effectiveness of this treatment, you can use it in conjunction with self fertility massage.

- DAILY FERTILITY MASSAGE can help reduce fluid buildup in the fallopian tubes and break-up adhesions comprised of scar tissues. Getting rid of adhesions is essential because they cause the blockage in the fallopian tubes. Moreover, they cause the tubes to stick to other parts of the reproductive organs or internal tissues. It involves massaging the area above the fallopian tubes, ovaries, and uterus.

- ENZYME THERAPY works by supporting the reproductive health through the use of systemic enzymes. Thus, apart from blocked fallopian tubes, it can be used to deal with issues like endometriosis, uterine cysts, polycystic ovarian syndrome, recurrent miscarriages, abnormal blood clotting, etc.

The enzyme serrapeptase, in particular, breaks down scar and cystic tissue. For best results, you need to take high quality systemic enzymes on an empty stomach. Follow this treatment for at least three months. In case you are going to have a surgery, discontinue this therapy about two weeks before the surgery.

- USE OF herbal TAMPONS AND DOUCHES are considered helpful in clearing the fallopian tubes by healing infections and breaking up scar tissues. You can either purchase herbal tampons or soak organic tampons in a herbal infusion prepared by mixing a variety of herbal teas like that of calendula flower, chamomile flower, goldenseal, osha root, garlic, red clover, etc. These tampons, however, should be used carefully and require immense self-care otherwise, they can increase the risk of infection by directing pathogens in the vaginal canal.

Health10 Common Ailments Of The Elderly by vikyembassy2000(op): 12:38am On Jul 15, 2016
10 Common Ailments of the Elderly

Now no matter who we are — man, woman, rich or poor — we all grow old. But the pace and precise way it happens varies from person to person, depending on genetic and environmental factors. While someone’s genetic makeup plays a huge part in determining his life expectancy, the quality of health care received and a healthy lifestyle are significant contributors to longevity.

Nonetheless, dealing with the aging process is a challenge, and when it begins, the impact is felt throughout the body — in the respiratory, cardiovascular, nervous, musculoskeletal, and immune systems.

While an individual can age and remain healthy, some ailments are directly linked to age-related change. That is a change in the season of life.

Those conditions include:

1. Cardiovascular diseases/ Hypertention/Stroke

2. Hearing loss

3. Arthritis

4. Sleep changes/disorders

5. Osteoporosis

6. Vision Changes/Glaucoma/ Cataract

7. Menopausal problems

8. Prostate problems

9. Diabetes

10. Cancer

Now let us examine the first and most common health conditions; Cardiovascular disease.

CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE & STROKE.

Thought at one time to be part of the normal aging process, cardiovascular disease and stroke are two disease processes that are now known to be influenced by lifestyle. Smokers, those who eat a lot of meat and fat and have high cholesterol levels are at high risk for this condition.

With age the heart becomes less efficient and must work harder to circulate blood throughout the body. Blood vessels lose their elasticity. The loss of elasticity, along with atherosclerosis (caused by hardened fatty deposits on the arterial walls), makes the arteries inflexible, which forces the heart to work harder. This process leads to high blood pressure.

High blood pressure, along with atherosclerosis and uncontrolled diabetes (see below) are two major risk factors for stroke.

A stroke can occur without warning and cause temporary or permanent brain damage and related loss of bodily function(s), depending on the area of the brain where the blockage occurs.

Natural Remedies For Cardiovascular disease and stroke.

The elderly and even the young can begin lifestyle changes that will help normalise blood pressure such as avoiding too much salt, worry, anxiety, worrying.

Every person who wants to avoid a stroke, grow to old age and live healthy and die gracefully must avoid foods high in the following:

- Saturated fats
- Sodium
-Cholesterols that wreck havoc to the heart. e.g Fried chicken, Sausages, Cheesecakes, Steaks, Burgers, Pizzas, Pastas, Ice cream, Doughnuts and Chips.

Also avoid sugary foods that may lead to Diabetes, as high blood pressure, along with atherosclerosis and uncontrolled diabetes are two major risk factors for stroke.

Also avoid Smoking, and eat less meat and fat as they can raise cholesterol levels another high risk factor for this condition.

The elderly can also relieve themselves of stress by having sex and reaching orgasm.

There are nutritional supplements; rich in essential fatty acids, unsaturated fats that are beneficial to the heart health and can also help in lowering blood pressure.

Nutritional supplements for promoting heart health: A combination of Omega plus, Stress Active, Super cider, Defender. You can add Aloe power & Cal C Mag

For Stroke: you will need the combo of our stroke pack which includes Aloe power, Omega plus, Cal C Mag, A & R complex, Memorite, Double power. You may add Stress Active, 40 plus for men or women, Immune booster, Skin Hair & Nails for optimum & quick recovery from stroke.

Health10 Ways To Prevent Diabetes Complications by vikyembassy2000(op): 7:58am On Jul 13, 2016
10 WAYS TO PREVENT DIABETES COMPLICATIONS (Contd)

6. Take care of your teeth

Diabetes may leave you prone to gum infections. Brush your teeth at least twice a day, floss your teeth once a day and schedule dental exams at least twice a year. Call your dentist if your gums bleed or look red or swollen.

7. Pay attention to your feet

High blood sugar can reduce blood flow and damage the nerves in your feet. Left untreated, cuts and blisters can lead to serious infections. Diabetes can lead to pain, tingling or loss of sensation in your feet.

To prevent foot problems
- Wash your feet daily in lukewarm water.
- Avoid soaking your feet, as this can lead to dry skin.
- Dry your feet gently, especially between the toes
- Moisturize your feet and ankles with lotion or petroleum jelly.
- Do not put oils or creams between your toes — the extra moisture can lead to infection.
- Check your feet daily for calluses, blisters, sores, redness or swelling.
- Consult your doctor if you have a sore or other foot problem that doesn't start to heal within a few days.

8. Consider a daily aspirin

Taking a low dose of aspirin every day may reduce your risk of heart attack and stroke. Ask your doctor whether daily aspirin therapy is appropriate for you, including which strength of aspirin would be best.

9. If you drink alcohol, do so responsibly

Alcohol can cause high or low blood sugar, depending on how much you drink and whether you eat at the same time. If you choose to drink, do so only in moderation and always with a meal. Remember to include the calories from any alcohol you drink in your daily calorie count.

10. Take stress seriously

If you're stressed, it's easy to neglect your usual diabetes care routine. The hormones your body may produce in response to prolonged stress may prevent insulin from working properly, which only makes matters worse.

To take control, set limits. Prioritize your tasks. Learn relaxation techniques. Get plenty of sleep.

Above all, stay positive. Diabetes care is within your control. If you're willing to do your part, diabetes won't stand in the way of an active, healthy life.

HealthUnderstand The Problem Of Arthritis And Rheumatism by vikyembassy2000(op): 8:48pm On Jun 25, 2016
We need firstly to understand the problem of Arthritis and Rheumatism.

Two of the most common forms of Arthritis are Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Some of the common symptoms are inflammation and or pain in the joints, namely the knees, wrists, elbows, fingers, hips, shoulders and back.

Osteoarthritis

This is a chronic disease of the joint cartilage and bone, often thought to result from “wear and tear” on a joint, although there are other causes such as congenital defects, trauma and metabolic disorders.

Joints appear larger, are stiff and painful and usually feel worse the more they are used throughout the day!

It is associated with the aging process and can affect any joint.

The cartilage of the affected joint is gradually worn down, eventually causing bone to rub against bone.

Bony spurs develop on the unprotected bones causing pain and inflammation.

Rheumatoid Arthritis

Is an autoimmune disease in which the body’s immune system attacks itself.

The pattern of joints affected is usually symmetrical, involves the hands and other joints and is worse in the morning.

Rheumatoid Arthritis is also a systemic disease, involving other body organs, whereas osteoarthritis is limited to the joints.

Over time, both forms of arthritis can be crippling.

Rheumatoid Arthritis is a systemic autoimmune disease which initially attacks the synovium, a connective tissue membrane that lines the cavity between joints& secretes a lubricating fluid.

The effect of Rheumatoid Arthritis can progress to the degree that is crippling.

Deformities distinctive to late-stage Rheumatoid Arthritis such as ulnar deviation of bones of the hands, or swan-neck deviation of the fingers occur because muscles and tendons on one side of the joint may overpower those on the other side, pulling the bones out of alignment.

Osteoarthritis vs. Rheumatoid Arthritis

Osteoarthritis is a deterioration of cartilage and overgrowth of bone often due to “wear & tear”.

Rheumatoid Arthritis is the inflammation of a joint’s connective tissues, such as the synovial membranes, which leads to the destruction of the articular cartilage

Drinking enough water promotes good digestion.
Health6 Ways To Prevent Kidney Problems by vikyembassy2000(op): 1:35pm On Jun 19, 2016
By David Blyweiss, M.D.

If you’re like most of my patients, you actively try to take steps to promote good health. Preventing chronic diseases like diabetes and Alzheimer’s while boosting your heart health is one of your top priorities. But when was the last time you thought about your kidneys? If you can’t remember, maybe it’s time you start.

Your kidneys are one of your most important organs. They’re responsible for filtering about 200 quarts of blood every day. They also filter 2 quarts of extra water and waste products, which eventually becomes urine. Plus, your kidneys also produce some hormones and help regulate important blood chemicals. Taking steps to keep your kidneys healthy just makes sense.

Here are 6 tips to help you do just that:

1. HYDRATE DAILY

Drink plenty of pure water every day. Staying well hydrated helps maintain the volume and concentration of blood. It also promotes good digestion, regulates body temperature and washes toxins from the body. For most people, that means drinking about 64 ounces of water every day.

But if you have kidney problems or if you’re active and sweat a lot, boost that amount so you are drinking half the amount of your body weight in ounces. For example if you weigh 160 pounds, you should drink at least 80 ounces—or 10 glasses—of filtered or purified water every day.

2. DON'T “HOLD IT.”

One of the major jobs your kidneys perform is to filter the blood in your body. When it’s done filtering, extra water and waste products are stored in your bladder, waiting to be excreted. But your bladder can only hold about 14 ounces of water—which isn’t much. When you ignore the need to go to the bathroom, your bladder stretches more than it was designed to. So when you finally do urinate, your bladder doesn’t completely empty. And this can lead to a urinary tract infection.

3. DRINK FRESH JUICES.

While juicing isn’t a “cure-all,”regularly enjoying fresh fruit and vegetable juices can help keep your kidneys healthy. Juicing daily allows the digestive system to absorb additional water and helps flush toxins and waste out of your body. But if you suffer from kidney stones, it’s important to avoid juices made from spinach, beets, collard greens and some other vegetables. These vegetables are higher in oxalic acid which promotes the formation of kidney stones.

4. EAT RIGHT.

Almost everything that happens inside your body is affected by the kind of foods you eat. If the foods you eat are toxic and unhealthy, then it will eventually affect body organs – including your kidneys.

This is one reason I recommend avoiding highly processed and refined convenience foods and fast foods.

What should you eat? Foods that strengthen kidney function including

* Green tea
* Watermelon
* Asparagus
* Garlic
* Parsley
* Celery
* Fish.

5. TAKE THE RIGHT SUPPLEMENTS.

The same cranberry extracts that protect your bladder can also keep your kidneys healthy. The secret to this small red berry’s effectiveness is its ability to keep bacteria from sticking to the lining of the kidneys. Cranberries also reduce inflammation and pack a potent antioxidant punch.

New research shows vitamin D deficiency and kidney problems go hand in hand.
Make sure you’re getting enough D by taking 2,000 IU every day.

6. WATCH YOUR WEIGHT.

If you are overweight or obese, you’re at higher risk of kidney stones and kidney cancer.

According to researchers at Johns Hopkins University, obesity doubles the odds you’ll develop kidney stones. Eating a sensible whole foods diet, watching your portions along with a regular exercise program can help you drop extra pounds and improve kidney health.

Your kidneys were designed to last for a lifetime. Caring for them properly with these six tips will help keep them healthy and happy while promoting good health from head to toe.

HealthNatural Remedies For Hernia by vikyembassy2000(op): 12:57pm On Jun 19, 2016
A hernia is a swelling, bulge or growth that occurs when an organ pushes through an opening in the muscle for tissue that holds it in place. For example, the intestines may break through a weakened area in the abdominal wall.

Hernias are most common in the abdomen, but they can also appear in the upper thigh, belly button, and groin areas. Most hernias are not immediately life threatening, but they don’t go away on their own and can require surgery to prevent potentially dangerous complications.

Hernias are most common in the abdomen, but they can also appear in the upper thigh, belly button, and groin areas. Most hernias are not immediately life threatening, but they don’t go away on their own and can require surgery to prevent potentially dangerous complications.

COMMON TYPES OF HERNIA

INGUINAL HERNIA

Inguinal hernias are the most common type of hernia. They make up about 70 percent of all hernias, according to theBritish Hernia Centre (BHC).

These hernias occur when the intestines push through a weak spot or tear in the lower abdominal wall, often in the inguinal canal. The inguinal canal is found in your groin.

In men, it is the area where the spermatic cord passes from the abdomen to the scrotum. This cord holds up the testicles.

In women, the inguinal canal contains a ligament that helps hold the uterus in place.

This type of hernia is more common in men than in women. This is because a man’s testicles descend through the inguinal canal shortly after birth, and the canal is supposed to close almost completely behind them. Sometimes, the canal does not close properly and leaves a weakened area prone to hernias.

HIATAL HERNIA

A hiatal hernia occurs when part of your stomach protrudes up through the diaphragm into your chest. The diaphragm is a sheet of muscle that helps you breathe by contracting and drawing air into the lungs. It separates the organs in your abdomen from those in your chest.

This type of hernia is most common in patients over 50 years old. If a child has the condition, it’s typically caused by a congenital (birth) defect.

Hiatal hernias almost always cause gastroesophageal reflux, which is when the stomach contents leak backward into the esophagus, causing a burning sensation.

UMBILICAL HERNIA

Umbilical hernias can occur in children and babies under 6 months old. This happens when their intestines bulge through their abdominal wall near their bellybutton. You may notice a bulge in or near your child’s bellybutton, especially when they’re crying.

An umbilical hernia is the only kind that often goes away on its own, typically by the time the child is 1 year old. If the hernia has not gone away by this point, surgery may be used to correct it.

INCISIONAL HERNIA

Incisional hernias can occur after you’ve had abdominal surgery. Your intestines may push through the incision scar or the surrounding, weakened tissue.

CAUSES OF HERNIA

Hernias are caused by a combination of muscle weakness and strain. Depending on its cause, a hernia can develop quickly or over a long period of time.Common causes of muscle weakness include:

- failure of the abdominal wall to close properly in the womb, which is a congenital defect
- age
- chronic coughing
- damage from injury or surgery
- factors that strain your body and may cause a hernia, especially if your muscles are weak, include:
- being pregnant, which puts pressure on your abdomen)
- being constipated, which causes you to strain when having a bowel movement
- heavy weight lifting
fluid in the abdomen, or ascites
- suddenly gaining weight
- persistent coughing or sneezing

RISK FACTORS

The factors that increase your risk of developing a hernia include:a personal or family history of hernias

- being overweight or obese
- a chronic cough
- chronic constipation
- smoking, which can trigger a chronic cough
- Conditions such as cystic fibrosis can also indirectly increase your risk of developing a hernia. Cystic fibrosis impairs the function of the lungs, causing a chronic cough.

SYMPTOMS OF A HERNIA

The most common symptom of a hernia is a bulge or lump in the affected area. In the case of an inguinal hernia, you may notice a lump on either side of your pubic bone where your groin and thigh meet. You’re more likely to feel your hernia through touch when you’re standing up.

If your baby has a hernia, you may only be able to feel the bulge when he or she is crying. A bulge is typically the only symptom of an umbilical hernia.

Other common symptoms of an inguinal hernia include
- pain or discomfort in the affected area (usually the lower abdomen), especially when bending over
- coughing, or lifting
- weakness, pressure, or a feeling of heaviness in the abdomen
- a burning, gurgling, or aching sensation at the site of the bulge

Other symptoms of a hiatal hernia include:
- acid reflux, which is when stomach acid moves backward into the esophagus causing a burning sensation
- chest pain
- difficulty swallowing

In some cases, hernias have no symptoms. You may not know you have a hernia unless it shows up during a routine physical or a medical exam for an unrelated problem.

Treatment Options for a Hernia

Whether or not you need treatment depends on the size of your hernia and the severity of your symptoms. Your doctor may simply monitor your hernia for possible complications. Treatment options for a hernia include:

Lifestyle Changes

Dietary changes can often treat the symptoms of a hiatal hernia. Avoid large or heavy meals, don’t lie down or bend over after a meal, and keep your body weight in a healthy range.

If these changes in diet don’t eliminate your discomfort, you may need surgery to correct the hernia. You can also improve symptoms by avoiding foods that cause acid reflux or heartburn, such as spicy foods and tomato-based foods. Additionally, you can avoid reflux by losing weight and giving up cigarettes.

Potential Complications of a Hernia

If left untreated, your hernia may grow and become more painful. A portion of your intestine could become trapped in the abdominal wall. This can obstruct your bowel, causing severe pain, nausea, and constipation.

An untreated hernia can also put too much pressure on nearby tissues, which can cause swelling and pain in the surrounding area.If the trapped section of your intestines doesn’t get enough blood flow, strangulation occurs. This can cause the intestinal tissue to become infected or die. A strangulated hernia is life-threatening and requires immediate medical care.

Preventing a Hernia

You can’t always prevent the muscle weakness that allows a hernia to occur. However, you can reduce the amount of strain you place on your body. This may help you avoid a hernia or keep an existing hernia from getting worse.

Prevention tips include:

- not smoking
- seeing your doctor when you’re sick to avoid developing a persistent cough
- maintaining a healthy body weight
- avoiding straining during bowel movements or urination
- lifting objects with your knees and not your back
- avoiding lifting weights that are too heavy for you

HealthHow Can You Lower Your Cholesterol Level/ The Risk Of High Cholesterol by vikyembassy2000(op): 8:45am On Jun 18, 2016
CHOLESTEROL

The Cambridge Advanced Learners dictionary defined Cholesterol as "a substance containing a lot of fat that is found in the body tissue and blood of all animals. It is one of the major cause of heart disease if there is too much of it.
Cholesterol is a type of fat (lipid) in the blood. Our cells need cholesterol, and our body makes all it needs. But we also get cholesterol from the food we eat. If we have too much cholesterol, it starts to build up in our arteries. (Arteries are the blood vessels that carry blood away from the heart.)
It is the starting point for some heart and blood flow problems. The buildup can narrow the arteries and make it harder for blood to flow through them. The buildup can also lead to dangerous blood clots and inflammation that can cause heart attacks and strokes.

There are different types of cholesterol.

1. LDL which is the "bad" cholesterol. It's the kind that can raise your risk of heart disease, heart attack, and stroke.
2. HDL which is the "good" cholesterol. It's the kind that is linked to a lower risk of heart disease, heart attack and stroke.

We may ask, why does cholesterol matter?

Your cholesterol levels can help your doctor find out your risk for having a heart attack or stroke. But it's not just about your cholesterol. Your doctor uses your cholesterol levels plus other things to calculate your risk. These include:
Your blood pressure.
Whether or not you have diabetes.
Your age, sex, and race.
Whether or not you smoke.

What affects cholesterol levels?

Many things can affect cholesterol levels, including:
1.The foods you eat. Eating too much saturated fat, trans fat, and cholesterol can raise your cholesterol.
2.Being overweight. This may lower HDL ("good"wink cholesterol.
Being inactive. Not exercising may lower HDL ("good"wink cholesterol.
Age. Cholesterol starts to rise after age 20.
Family history. If family members have or had high cholesterol, you may also have it.
How is cholesterol tested?

You need a blood test to check your cholesterol.
A cholesterol test, also called a lipid panel, measures all of the fats in your blood, including total, LDL, and HDL cholesterol.High cholesterol levels don't make you feel sick. So the blood test is the only way to know your cholesterol levels.

How can you lower your cholesterol level?

Eating a healthy diet that is rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fish, and low-fat or non-fat dairy foods. Such as, Almond, Oatmeal, Garlic, Olive oil, Avocado, Tomatoes, Fibre, Salmon, Green tea, etc. Also note that all fruits and vegetables are low in saturated fat so eating more helps to keep the fat intake low.

Being active on most, if not all, days of the week. An active lifestyle can help lower cholesterol levels. Activities can range from walking and cycling to more vigorous exercise such as running and dancing.
Doing 150 minutes of moderate - intensity aerobic activity every week can improve your cholesterol level.
Moderate intensity aerobic activity means you are working hard enough to raise your heart rate and break a sweat.

Smoking can raise LDL and lower HDL, and quitting often improves those numbers, study shows that people who stopped smoking saw their “good” cholesterol rise 5% in one year. But if you’re regularly around smokers, take heed: Breathing secondhand smoke every day can also raise levels of bad cholesterol.

I also recommend Aloe Power, Supercider, Fat Burner, Omega Plus and Fat Absorber capsules to anyone with high cholesterol.

HealthHow Asthma Affects Lung by vikyembassy2000(op): 9:37pm On Jun 16, 2016
WHAT IS ASTHMA
Asthma (AZ-ma) is a chronic (long-term) lung disease that inflames and narrows the airways.
Figure A shows the location of the lungs and airways in the body. Figure B shows a cross-section of a normal airway. Figure C shows a cross-section of an airway during asthma symptoms.

TYPES OF ASTHMA

ALLERGIES and ASTHMA :
Allergies and asthma often go hand-in-hand. Allergic
rhinitis (also called hay fever) is inflammation of the inside
lining of the nose and is the single most common chronic
allergic disease. In those with allergic rhinitis ,
increased sensitivity ( allergy ) to a substance causes
your body’s immune cells to release histamines in
to contact with the allergens. Histamines, along
with other chemicals, lead to allergy symptoms. The most
common allergens enter the body through the airway.
With allergic rhinitis , you may feel a constant runny
nose, ongoing sneezing , swollen nasal passages, excess
mucus, weepy eyes, and a scratchy throat. A cough may
result from the constant postnasal drip. Many times asthma
symptoms are triggered by allergic rhinitis. Your doctor
may prescribe medications to control the allergies and, in
doing so, the cough and other asthma symptoms
may subside.

EXERCISE -INDUCED ASTHMA
Exercise -induced asthma is a type of asthma triggered
by exercise or physical exertion. Many people with asthma
experience some degree of symptoms with exercise.
However, there are many people without asthma, including
Olympic athletes, who develop symptoms only during
exercise.
With exercise-induced asthma, airway narrowing peaks five
to 20 minutes after exercise begins, making it difficult to
catch your breath. You may have symptoms of an asthma
attack with wheezing and coughing . Your doctor can
tell you if you need use an asthma inhaler (bronchodilator )
before exercise to prevent these uncomfortable asthma
symptoms.

COUGH VARIANT ASTHMA
In the type of asthma called cough-variant asthma, severe
coughing is the predominant symptom. There can be
other causes of cough such as postnasal drip, chronic
rhinitis, sinusitis , or gastroesophageal reflux disease
(GERD or heartburn). Coughing because of
sinusitis with asthma is common.
Cough-variant asthma is vastly underdiagnosed and
undertreated. Asthma triggers for cough-variant asthma are
usually respiratory infections and exercise.
For any persistent cough, contact your doctor. Your doctor
may order specific asthma tests, such as lung function
tests , to show how well your lungs work. You might need to
see a lung specialist for further tests before an asthma
diagnosis is made.

OCCUPATIONAL ASTHMA
Occupational asthma is a type of asthma that results from
workplace triggers. With this type of asthma, you might
have difficulty breathing and asthma symptoms just on the
days you're on the job.
Many people with this type of asthma suffer with runny nose
and congestion or eye irritation or have a cough
instead of the typical asthma wheezing .
Some common jobs that are associated with occupational
asthma include animal breeders, farmers, hairdressers,
nurses, painters, and woodworkers.

NIGHTTIME (NOCTURNAL)ASTHMA
Nighttime asthma, also called nocturnal asthma, is a
common type of the disease. If you have asthma, the
chances of having symptoms are much higher during sleep
because asthma is powerfully influenced by the sleep -
wake cycle (circadian rhythms). Your asthma symptoms of
wheezing, cough, and trouble breathing are common and
dangerous, particularly at nighttime.
Studies show that the most deaths related to asthma occur
at night. It’s thought that this may be because of increased
exposure to allergens (asthma triggers ), cooling of the
airways, reclining position, or even hormone secretions that
follow a circadian pattern. Sometimes heartburn can cause
asthma at night.

HEALTH CONDITIONS THAT MAY MIMIC ASTHMA
A variety of illnesses can cause some of the same
symptoms as asthma. For example, cardiac asthma is a
form of heart failure in which the symptoms mimic some of
the symptoms of regular asthma.
Vocal cord dysfunction is another asthma mimic.

CAUSES OF ASTHMA
It isn't clear why some people get asthma and others don't,
but it's probably due to a combination of environmental and
genetic (inherited) factors.
Asthma triggers
Exposure to various irritants and substances that trigger
allergies (allergens) can trigger signs and symptoms of
asthma. Asthma triggers are different from person to person
and can include:
Airborne allergens, such as pollen, animal dander,
mold, cockroaches and dust mites
Respiratory infections, such as the common cold
Physical activity (exercise-induced asthma)
Cold air
Air pollutants and irritants, such as smoke
Certain medications, including beta blockers, aspirin,
ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin IB, others) and naproxen
(Aleve)
Strong emotions and stress
Sulfites and preservatives added to some types of
foods and beverages, including shrimp, dried fruit,
processed potatoes, beer and wine
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition in
which stomach acids back up into your throat.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF ASTHMA
Shortness of breath
Chest tightness or pain
Trouble sleeping caused by shortness of breath,
coughing or wheezing
A whistling or wheezing sound when exhaling
(wheezing is a common sign of asthma in children)
Coughing or wheezing attacks that are worsened by a
respiratory virus, such as a cold or the flu.
HOW ASTHMA AFFECTS LUNG
People with asthma have airways that are very
sensitive to one or more triggers. Exposure
makes airways begin to spasm, becoming red,
swollen and narrow. Mucous is produced and
gathers in the airways.

HealthIn Ability To Get Or Keep An Erection Firm Enough To Have Sexual Intercourse by vikyembassy2000(op): 10:18pm On Jun 13, 2016
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is [i]the inability to get or keep an erection firm enough to have sexual intercourse embarassed. It is also sometimes also referred to as impotence.

Occasional ED is not uncommon. Many men experience it during times of stress. However, frequent ED can be a sign of health problems that need treatment. It can also be a sign of emotional or relationship difficulties that may need to be addressed by a professional.
Not all male sexual problems are caused by ED. Other types of male sexual dysfunction include:

premature ejaculation
delayed or absent ejaculation
lack of interest in sex
How Common Is Erectile Dysfunction?
Up to 30 million American men are affected by ED, according to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK). The prevalence of ED increases with age. ED affects only four percent of men in their 50s, but nearly 17 percent of men in their 60s. Furthermore, almost half of all men over the age of 75 will suffer from ED.

Although the risk of ED increases with age, ED is not an inevitable consequence of getting older. It may be more difficult to get an erection as you age, but that does not necessarily mean you will develop ED. In general, the healthier a man is, the better his sexual function.

How Does a Man Get an Erection?
An erection is the result of increased blood flow into the penis. Blood flow is usually stimulated by either sexual thoughts or direct contact with the penis.

When a man becomes sexually excited, muscles in the penis relax. This relaxation allows for increased blood flow through the penile arteries. This blood fills two chambers inside the penis called the corpora cavernosa. As the chambers fill with blood, the penis grows rigid. Erection ends when the muscles contract and the accumulated blood can flow out through the penile veins.

ED can occur because of problems at any stage of the erection process. For example, the penile arteries may be too damaged to open properly and allow blood in.

The potential causes of ED are numerous. They include:

cardiovascular disease
diabetes
damage from cancer or surgery
injuries
stress
anxiety
relationship problems
drug use
alcohol use
smoking
These factors can work singly or in combination.

What Are the Symptoms of Erectile Dysfunction?
ED is defined by an inability to get or sustain an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse. It has no other symptoms.

What Is the Outlook for Erectile Dysfunction?
ED is a treatable condition. There are a number of ED treatments available. The type of treatment generally depends on the underlying cause of ED.

Treatments for ED range from counseling and lifestyle changes to drugs, natural remedies and surgery. If you suffer from ED, it is important to carry out proper diagnoses. This will help identify the cause of your ED and figure out the most appropriate treatment.
Because it can be embarrassing to discuss ED, many men look for treatment options online. However, not all treatments are safe for all men. They may not help your ED, and could damage your health.

HealthDiabetes Is A Serious Complex Condition Which Can Affect The Entire Body by vikyembassy2000(op): 11:21pm On Jun 12, 2016
What is diabetes

Diabetes is a serious complex condition which can affect the entire body. Diabetes requires daily self care and if complications develop, diabetes can have a significant impact on quality of life and can reduce life expectancy. While there is currently no cure for diabetes, you can live an enjoyable life by learning about the condition and effectively managing it.

There are different types of diabetes; all types are complex and serious. The three main types of diabetes are type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes.

How does diabetes affect the body?

When someone has diabetes, their body can’t maintain healthy levels of glucose in the blood. Glucose is a form of sugar which is the main source of energy for our bodies. Unhealthy levels of glucose in the blood can lead to long term and short term health complications.

For our bodies to work properly we need to convert glucose (sugar) from food into energy. A hormone called insulin is essential for the conversion of glucose into energy. In people with diabetes, insulin is no longer produced or not produced in sufficient amounts by the body. When people with diabetes eat glucose, which is in foods such as breads, cereals, fruit and starchy vegetables, legumes, milk, yoghurt and sweets, it can’t be converted into energy.

Instead of being turned into energy the glucose stays in the blood resulting in high blood glucose levels. After eating, the glucose is carried around your body in your blood. Your blood glucose level is called glycaemia. Blood glucose levels can be monitored and managed through self care and treatment.

Three things you need to know about diabetes:

It is not one condition- there are three main types of diabetes: type 1, type 2and gestational diabetesAll types of diabetes are complex and require daily care and managementDiabetes does not discriminate, anyone can develop diabetes

Diabetes is serious

Diabetes can be managed well but the potential complications are the same for type 1 and type 2 diabetes including heart attack, stroke, kidney disease, limb amputation, depression, anxiety and blindness.

We know diabetes:

Is the leading cause of blindness in working age adultsIs a leading cause of kidney failure and dialysisIncreases the risk of heart attacks and stroke by up to 4 timesIs a major cause of limb amputationsAffects mental health as well as physical health. Depression, anxiety and distress occur in more than 30% of all people with diabetes

Early diagnosis, optimal treatment and effective ongoing support and management reduce the risk of diabetes-related complications.

Why is diabetes increasing?

All types of diabetes are increasing in prevalence:

Type 1 diabetes accounts for 10% of all diabetes and is increasingType 2 diabetes accounts for 85% of all diabetes and is increasingGestational diabetes in pregnancy is increasing

Type 2 diabetes is increasing at the fastest rate. There are large numbers of people with silent, undiagnosed type 2 diabetes which may be damaging their bodies. An estimated 2 million Australians are at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes and are already showing early signs of the condition.

Type 2 diabetes is one of the major consequences of the obesity epidemic. The combination of massive changes to diet and the food supply, combined with massive changes to physical activity with more sedentary work and less activity, means most populations are seeing more type 2 diabetes.

Genes also play a part with higher risk of type 2 diabetes in Chinese, South Asian, Indian, Pacific Islander and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations.

Symptoms

In type 1 diabetes, symptoms are often sudden and can be life-threatening; therefore it is usually diagnosed quite quickly. In type 2 diabetes, many people have no symptoms at all, while other signs can go unnoticed being seen as part of ‘getting older’.

Therefore, by the time symptoms are noticed, complications of diabetes may already be present.

Common symptoms include:

Being more thirsty than usualPassing more urineFeeling tired and lethargicAlways feeling hungryHaving cuts that heal slowlyItching, skin infectionsBlurred visionUnexplained weight loss (type 1)Gradually putting on weight (type 2)Mood swings headaches feeling dizzy leg cramps.

Healthstroke is a disease that affect the arteries leading to and within the brain by vikyembassy2000(op): 10:51pm On Jun 12, 2016
STROKE
What is stroke? stroke is a disease that affect the arteries leading to and within the brain. It is the no. 5 cause of death in united state.
A stroke occurs when a blood vessel that carries oxygen and nutrients to the brain is either blocked by a cloth, bursts or ruptures.
When that happens part of the brain cannot get blood and oxygen it need, so it and the brain cell die.
Types of stroke; stroke can be caused either by a colt obstructing the flow of blood to the brain called an Ischaemic stroke or by blood vessel rupturing and preventing blood flow to the brain called a Hemorrhagic stroke.
