DO YOU KNOW? 1. Most problems in your life can be attributed to two things: acting without thinking, and thinking without acting. 2. The best way to win an argument is to continue asking questions. This will force the other person to see the holes in their argument. 3. Learning from your mistakes is wise, learning from the mistakes of others is quicker and easier. 4. Human behavioral studies suggest that a person who loses their cell phone experiences a panic similar to a near death experience. 5. If you rely on others to make you happy, you will never be happy. Happiness is something only you are responsible for. →*Quote: ''The man who hides his foolishness is better than the man who hides his wisdom. |

A CALL TO FREEDOM My dear friend, I congratulates you for coming in contact with this message, from your creator that will definitely deliver you from eternal bondage and destruction if only you are ready to choose freedom. My Brother & Sister, Are you free? Do you want to be free? You may ask, am I in bondage? In what way am I in bondage? Just as the Jews said in John 8vs33 "they answered Him, we are Abraham's descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone..." (NKJV) Just as some fellow will likely say; I am a choirister, I am pastor's Son/daughter, I am an Usher, I am a drumer in my Church, I am the head of so and so department in my church, I am the drama leader, or I go to Church regularly, so I cannot be in any bondage. In verse 34: "Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin." (John 8:34 NKJV). Listen, can you say "I am no longer a slave to sin?" are you free from lying, stealing, cheating, drinking, smoking, hatred, envy, pride, idolatry, sexual Immorality, fornication, adultery, cultism, uncleanness, jealousy, heresy, backbiting, querelling? And those little sins, you think does not count? These sins will lead you to the bondage of sicknesses, diseases, suffering, failure, unredeemable crises and the bondage of hell fire. "He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil." (1 John 3: .Now how can you be free? Hear this "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."" (John 8:32). What is this truth? "For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does." (Psalms 33:4). "Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth." (John 17:17). The word of the LORD is the truth that will set you free. You may ask " WHO IS THIS WORD? "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1). "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:14). "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6). "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." (2 Corinthians 3:17). "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." (Galatians 5:1). My dear friend, are you still struggling with one sin or the other? Are you still in bondage of sickness? diseases? suffering? Failure? Disappointment? Sexual Immorality? Generational curse? Hear this "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28). JESUS is ready to give you rest, peace, success, Joy, breakthrough, and total freedom. You are too precious to be in bondage, you are too precious to waste in hell. What are you still waiting for? Repent now! "whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away." (James 4:14). My dear friend, forsake your old ways of sin and accept the TRUTH, JESUS CHRIST. He is waiting to set you free. ""Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool." (Isaiah 1:18). "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us." (1 John 1:9-10). My dear pray to God now, tell Him you realise you are a sinner and you cant help yourself, and you need His help. Confess all your sins now and promise not to go back to them again "He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy." (Proverbs 28:13). Tell God you accept JESUS as your LORD and personal saviour. Rom. 10:8-10 If you have done this faithfully and sincerely, Congratulation! Heaven is celebrating you. Welcome to freedom. |

NOTHING CAN SEPARATE From her bedroom window, Rebecca eyed the children playing in the snow enviously. How she longed to play with them! “Now, Rebecca,” she remembered her father telling her that morning. “You can’t play in the snow today.” “Why not, Father?” Rebecca had asked. Every day, the neighborhood children gathered at a park just behind Rebecca’s house. “Just trust me, Rebecca. It’s not what’s best for you today,” her father had replied. At the time, Rebecca had responded by kissing her father on his cheek and assuring him that she would stay inside and read. But now she was having second thoughts. It is beautiful outside, she thought to herself. It was true: the sun was shining brilliantly. Why wouldn’t her father let her go play? Why should she have to miss out on all the fun? When a snowball exploded just outside her window, Rebecca decided she couldn’t stand it any longer. She simply had to go join the others! Leaving her book on the table, Rebecca slipped outside. She tried to tell herself she was having a good time, but all the while her heart felt uncomfortable. She kept looking this way and that, fearful least her father see her. After a few hours, Rebecca finally said her goodbyes and headed back towards the house. She wanted to be safely lodged in her room before her father came home. Intent on getting to her room as quickly as possible, Rebecca didn’t see the mitten someone had left on the stairs until her foot slipped on it. Next thing she knew, she had fallen several stairs. To her horror, she noticed that she had hit her father’s favorite picture when she fell! A huge gash ran along the front of the picture. Normally, Rebecca would have hurried immediately to her father after such a fall so he could doctor her up and make her feel better. But not this time. How could she face her father right now? She had disobeyed him and ruined his favorite picture! Biting her lips to keep from crying out, Rebecca grabbed the ruined picture and hobbled to her room. For the remainder of the day, she lay in agony. Her body ached from the bruises she received on her fall. But her heart— ah, that ached worse of all! She felt certain that her father would no longer love her. She had messed up in the past, but surely this time she had gone too far! He would probably never want to speak to her again. How could he still love her? She sobbed uncontrollably on her pillow. She had always been close to her father. They had played and studied together. They had laughed and cried together. But not now. No, she felt certain that all those wonderful times were over. Who knows how long she would have lain thus had not her nanny come in to check on her. Rebecca’s nanny had a way about her of finding out exactly what was wrong and offering solid, wise counsel. Tonight was no exception. “Rebecca, dear,” she said firmly, but gently. “You’ve been very wrong. But you must not continue in your wrongness by sitting here. You must go to your father with the broken picture in your hand and tell him everything.” “Oh, but I can’t! I’m not worthy of His love!” Rebecca sobbed. Her nanny sighed patiently. “You were no more worthy of it yesterday than today, child. Your father loves you because you’re his daughter, not because of anything you do or don’t do. Hasn’t he told you everyday since you were a little girl, ‘I love you’? Do you doubt his word? Do you really think his love is dependent on you?” Doubt his word—that was an angle Rebecca had never thought of before. Maybe she should go see her father…yes, she must go see him, for if she didn’t, she’d never be able to rest. So, still shaking and trembling with fear, Rebecca limped down the hall to the living room. She paused at the doorway. Her father was sitting in his favorite chair, just like he did every night. He looked up when she entered, and a smile radiating with love illuminated his face. “Ah, you’ve come at last! I’ve been waiting. Come, sit here on my lap.” As he spoke, he opened his arms widely. Rebecca couldn’t stand it. “Oh, you don’t understand, Father! You can’t love me anymore. I’ve been terribly wicked and-” Rebecca held up the picture frame for her father to see. “I know, Rebecca—more than you think. I watched you go outside. I watched you fall and hit the picture frame. I saw it all.” “You did?” Rebecca was flabbergasted. “But-but weren’t you at work?” Her father shook his head. “I took the day off to spend some special time with you. That’s why I told you not to go outside to play. Ever since I saw you fall, I’ve been longing for you to come to me so I could bandage your wounds and help you. Won’t you come now?” Rebecca could hardly believe her ears. Her father had planned to spend the afternoon with her…and she had missed it. Oh, what foolishness! Yet her father knew it all…and loved her anyway. Could it be? “But, Father, how can you love me now?” Rebecca’s father smiled a smile she would never forget. “Rebecca, dear, I loved you before you were born. You’re my daughter. And I will always love you. Although sometimes your actions will result in consequences you could have avoided, nothing can ever separate you from my love. Now won’t you come and let me help you with those bruises?” “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or unclothedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” Romans 8:35-37 |
Julian hated taking out the trash. Few tasks bothered her as much as this one. Yet like it or not, she couldn't escape the job. One evening after taking out the trash, Julian, feeling especially bothered, marched into her father's office and vented her frustration with, "I hate taking out the trash." She went on to elaborate on all the things about taking out the trash she did not like. Julian's father listened quietly. Then he slowly reached under his desk and pulled out a small box. "Julian, I have something for you," he explained, opening the box carefully. Inside was a hand-held device Julian had never seen. "What is it?" Julian asked in amazement, forgetting all about the trash for a moment. "It's an electronic labeler," her father replied. "It will help you view things-- including the trash--the way I view them. Just scan whatever task you're frustrated with, and it will pull up my thoughts on the matter. You'll be surprised by what you discover." "Wow--thank you, Father," Julian replied, taking the labeler--which looked somewhat like a fancy smart phone--with delight. She could hardly wait to use this new toy! What she discovered when she pointed the labeler at the trash can a few minutes later surprised her greatly. The device immediately lit up with a few simple words: "An opportunity to bless and be blessed." Julian stared at the words in disbelief...then tried pointing the device at the trash can again. Had she misread it? How could taking out the trash possibly be viewed as an opportunity? Once again, the labeler repeated its strange message. Julian's father clearly viewed taking the trash out as a blessing, not a frustration. Julian knew her father was much, much wiser than she. Perhaps she should try approaching taking out the trash with a new attitude. Changing her attitude proved difficult, but Julian kept reminding herself of her father's label. This is an opportunity. I'm going to be thankful for it, she decided. Oh, but she hated touching everyone's garbage! Couldn't people be more careful... Julian stopped her thoughts mid- sentence. Perhaps other people's carelessness was part of her opportunity-- an opportunity to bless them! As Julian began changing her perspective to align with her father's, a strange thing began happening. A song began replacing the complaining that used to accompany her dreaded task. Ever so slowly--and with many a relapse--the task became not just bearable, but actually enjoyable. Julian learned to delight in blessing others through this mundane service...and unknown to even herself, she was being blessed too. Excited about the difference her father's perspective made with taking out the trash, Julian began using her labeler more and more often. One day, Julian decided to try pointing the labeler at herself. She hesitated to even look at the label, afraid of all the things it might say. Would it list her many shortcomings? She could think of a list a mile long. To her surprise, though, the labeler read, "My beloved, cherished daughter." Julian's heart skipped a beat when she saw those words. The thought that her father looked at her through eyes of love, not judgment, put a sparkle in her step all day. She was cherished. That knowledge made her want to serve her father with ever fiber in her being. Slowly yet surely, viewing her circumstances and tasks--as well as herself--as her father viewed them began transforming Julian and changing her actions. She began living more in joy and service. Indeed, life looked so very different when viewed through her father's eyes! And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2 (KJV) |
Several years ago, a preacher from a distant town accepted a call from a church in Leeds. Some weeks after his arrival, he had an appointment that made him to board a bus to another part of the town. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had mistakenly given him his balance in excess of 50 pence. As he considered what to do, he thought within him, 'You'd better give this money back. It would be wrong to keep it'. Then another thought came, "Oh, forget it, it's only 50p; who would worry about this little amount, afterall the bus company makes so much money on fares; they will never miss it. Accept it as 'a gift from God' and keep quiet. "When he was getting down from the bus, he paused momentarily at the door, and then handed the 50p to the driver and said, 'Take; the balance you gave me was over'. The driver, with a smile, replied,'Aren't you the new preacher in town?' 'Yes I am' he replied.'Well, I have been thinking a lot lately about where to go to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I give you balance in excess. I'll worship with you at the church this Sunday. When the preacher stepped off the bus, he grabbed a nearby electric pole, looked up and said, 'Oh God, I almost sold your Son for 50 pence. Our lifestyles are the only Bible some people will ever read. This is just a subtle example of how much people watch us as Christians, and will put us to the test! Always be on guard -- and remember -- You carry the name of Christ on your forehead and shoulders once you call yourself a Christian. 'Watch your thoughts;they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character.Watch your character; it becomes your destiny'. |
One day a 6 year old was sitting in a classroom. The teacher was going to explain evolution to the children. The teacher asked a little boy: TEACHER: Tommy do you see the tree outside? TOMMY: Yes. TEACHER: Tommy, do you see the grass outside? TOMMY: Yes. TEACHER: Go outside and look up and see if you can see the sky. TOMMY: Okay. (He returned a few minutes later) Yes, I saw the sky. TEACHER: Did you see God? TOMMY: No. TEACHER: That's my point. We can't see God because he isn't there. He just doesn't exist. A little girl spoke up and wanted to ask the boy some questions. The teacher agreed and the little girl asked the boy: LITTLE GIRL: Tommy, do you see the tree outside? TOMMY: Yes LITTLE GIRL: Tommy do you see the grass outside? TOMMY: Yessssss! LITTLE GIRL: Did you see the sky? TOMMY: Yessssss! LITTLE GIRL: Tommy, do you see the teacher? TOMMY: Yes. LITTLE GIRL: Do you see her brain? TOMMY: No. LITTLE GIRL: Then according to what we were taught today in school, she must not have one! BURN! "FOR WE WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT" - 2 CORINTHIANS 5:7 |
There are people who can walk away from you. And hear me when I tell you this! When people can walk away from you: LET THEM WALK!! I don’t want you to try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached to you. I mean, hang up the phone. When people can walk away from you let them walk. Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left. The bible said that, they came out from us that it might be made manifest that they were not for us. For had they been of us, no doubt they would have continued with us. [1John 2:19] People leave you because they are not joined to you. And if they are not joined to you, you can’t make them stay. Let them go. And it doesn’t mean that they are a bad person it just means that their part in the story is over. And you’ve got to know when people’s part in your story is over so that you don’t keep trying to raise the dead. You’ve got to know when it’s dead. You’ve got to know when it’s over. Let me tell you something. I’ve got the gift of good-bye. It’s the tenth spiritual gift, I believe in good-bye. It’s not that I’m hateful, it’s that I’m faithful, and I know whatever God means for me to have, He’ll give it to me. And if it takes too much sweat I don’t need it. Stop begging people to stay. Let them go!! If you are holding on to something that doesn’t belong to you and was never intended for your life, then you need to...... LET IT GO!!! If you are holding on to past hurts and pains ...... LET IT GO!!! If someone can’t treat you right, love you back, and see your worth..... LET IT GO!!! If someone has angered you ........ LET IT GO!!! If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge...... LET IT GO!!! If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction...... LET IT GO!!! If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or talents . LET IT GO!!! If you have a bad attitude....... LET IT GO!!! If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better...... LET IT GO!!!! If you’re stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new level in Him...... LET IT GO!!! If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship....... LET IT GO!!! If you keep trying to help someone who won’t even try to help themselves...... LET IT GO!!! If you’re feeling depressed and stressed ........ LET IT GO!!! If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling yourself and God is saying “ take your hands off of it,” then you need to...... LET IT GO!!! Let the past be the past. Forget the former things. GOD is doing a new thing for 2009!!! LET IT GO!!! Get Right or Get Left .. think about it, and then .. LET IT GO!!!By T. D. JAKE |

If you’re looking to nurture greatness, these tips may help you do just that—or they may help you recognize the extraordinary impact you already have on the people around you. 1. Be a source of kindness. “Men are only as great as they are kind.” ~Elbert Hubbard We all want to live in a world where people are compassionate, understanding, and kind. Every time we treat someone this way, we do our part to create that kind of world. 2. Treat everyone equally. “The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who does him absolutely no good.” ~Samuel Johnson There’s another saying that suggests we should be nice to people on the way up because they’re the same people we’ll meet on the way down. But there’s a more important reason to treat people well: We all thrive together when we stop fixating on “up” and “down” and choose to stand beside each other. 3. Remember that actions speak louder than words. “Great thoughts speak only to the thoughtful mind, but great actions speak to all mankind.” ~Theodore Roosevelt Most of us have ideas to make a difference in the world—and we can do these things if we’re willing to act as much as we think and talk. Take your plans out of your head and off the page, even if with just one small step. Wherever you are in the process, that’s the opportunity to be great. 4. Focus on the little things. “I long to accomplish a great and noble task, but it is my chief duty to accomplish small tasks as if they were great and noble.” ~Helen Keller Underlying every great, big idea there’s a purpose we can also meet through small, noble actions. Go ahead and make that plan to change the world, but remember that the exchanges and efforts that may seem ordinary are often the most extraordinary. 5. Believe in the promise of tomorrow. “Great hope makes great men.” ~Thomas Fuller It may seem like it’s deluding yourself to nurture hope, but hope doesn’t have to imply blind faith that things will work out as you want them to. In can mean you have faith that you will learn, grow, and do something positive with whatever comes your way. When you believe you can, it’s much more likely you will. 6. Put love into whatever you’re doing. “We cannot do great things, only small things with great love.” ~Mother Teresa Create with love, engage with love, bake with love, build with love—whatever you do, put your heart into it. Even if you’re working toward a different career, know that this day counts. Take this opportunity to nurture something positive in whatever it is your doing. 7. Keep an open mind and be open to change. “The final proof of greatness is being able to endure criticism without resentment.” ~Elbert Hubbard People don’t always offer constructive feedback, but oftentimes they intend to; if we can stay open to what might be true, we can learn and grow a little every day. That’s greatness—not an enduring state, but the willingness to evolve. 8. Keep things simple. “Nothing is more simple than greatness; indeed, to be simple is to be great.” ~Ralph Waldo Emerson Life gets complicated when we overwhelm ourselves with things we think we should do or have. All those “shoulds” can easily suffocate the one simple thing we all want: to enjoy our time with the people we love. When we fully appreciate our days, suddenly being great seems less important. 9. Forget about yourself for a while. “It takes a great man to be a great listener.” ~Calvin Cooledge So often we merely wait to talk instead of actually listening, but this is why people open up to us—not just for advice, but also for our loving, attentive presence. When we give that gift to others we communicate how greatly important they are to us. 10. Motivate others to be who they want to be. “Really great people make you feel that you too can be great.” ~Mark Twain We all want to feel that we matter. Show someone else they do, both by believing in their dreams and recognizing how they make a difference right now. The most powerful difference we can make in this world is the one we make supporting each other. |
