As you are already aware, family reunion visas ideally goes through a verification process. I believe as long as you have the necessary documents to prove the child is yours, there shouldn't be any problem

Good morning Everyone

Please, I have a question and I would like if people can share their thoughts regarding our situation.
I had a child a year before I left the country for my study in Germany, but I applied as single no kid due to some controversies btw us.
A year after I got to Germany, I visited Nigeria again and we made up and resolves all issues and misunderstandings.
We are now married and i now work as a high skilled IT Specialist in Germany.
Do you think my initial visa application (as single no kid) will affect my child's application?
This is a mistake from me and i hope it won't have any effect.

NB: We have all the required documents on the family reunion checklist.
