The picture of the Acropolis Museum, Acropoli Athens Greece 🇬🇷 I did explore the inside, in a short while I’ll be dropping more pictures and clips.
|
So guys I got back to Varna Bulgaria two days ago, but tomorrow I will be flying to Copenhagen, Denmark 🇩🇰 I will create a separate thread for that as well here on NL so be on the look out. In the meantime I will be dropping pictures of my trip to Greece and at the same time I will be taking questions. |
ferhyntorlah:I mean I’ve tasted all of them yogurts here, all taste great though I’m not a fan of soured yogurt but I’ve heard people commend Bulgarian yogurt. |
Raalsalghul:I tried most of their meals here but couldn’t get the name right! The time I went to Acropolis I didn’t see any cat there unfortunately but I did go to a tomb. Had no tour guide was just doing my thing 🤣 the entrance fee is expensive enough for me! Are you still coming back to Greece? Where do you reside? |
I left Greece 🇬🇷 already and headed to Warsaw Poland 🇵🇱. I’ll be updating pictures and videos I took in Greece.
|
The picture below contain the things I was able to get for 129 euros, a pair of shoe 30 euros each then the baggy jeans 19.99 euros, they were all on sale! Designer brand is Pull&Bear. 3 baggy jeans 2 pair of chunky loafers.
|
pius4luv:I wish you the very best dear, traveling is good I encourage people to travel more. 💪 |
Yesterday I was in Thessaloniki, today I am going to Warsaw, Poland 🇵🇱 but I will keep updating some pictures I took in Greece and will be taking questions.
|
For some reason designer clothes are relatively cheap here in Athens to compare with the ones they have in Amsterdam Netherlands 🇳🇱. Greece is coming off cheaper than I thought.. Though the clothes are on sale.. Will upload photos soon. Spent a total of 129 Euros but I was able to buy a whole lot of stuffs..

Ororocelemi:If you are looking at migrating, you should use the study route, anything else might prove hard if you factor your age. Then again every time I see people peddling this Europe work visa narrative, you can hardly get a visa for unskilled labour or position which can be easily sourced locally. They have a whole lot of migrants looking for that position locally so chances of getting a visa or even a company ready to sponsor your visa are very low. If you have an exceptional skill set in the IT, Medical field then that could happen. Then the official language here is Greek. |
Ororocelemi:Yeah you could do that, if the plan is moving out of Greece. What I am not sure of is the chances of getting any kind of job here both unskilled and skilled. My advice is check for the easiest countries that can issue you a Schengen visa…that country is Bulgaria and Romania.. |
His lordship Lord Pericles with the mighty Goddess Athena welcomed me the representative of the ancestors all the way from Nigeria.. Location: Acropolis Temple…
|
The Athens Metro.. I’m heading out to see the Acropolis and the museum there too., then tomorrow I will be going to see Parathenon site. Good morning guys!!
|
fashmann:Sure! You can as well check the video I uploaded on my Facebook page. I will also be uploading some of the videos there on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/17bJqJ3LKX/?mibextid=wwXIfr |
Syntagma Square, Athens Greece 🇬🇷
|
Ororocelemi:The minimum wage here is around 800 euros per month. I’ve seen adverts for unskilled labor positions in public spaces and on Facebook, including jobs in farming. However, I haven’t seen any Black people working in public places like in Holland. I’ve walked at least 10 kilometers since yesterday, and I haven’t come across any. So, yeah! |
Chinese restaurant in Syntagma Square, Athens Greece 🇬🇷 A plate of fried rice and vegetable with Heineken beer 330ML. Price: 15 Euros Greece is expensive and at the same time broke 🤣
|
hammed71:It took me 10 years, got it like two years ago. Well Bulgaria for me is like the new Nigeria 🇳🇬 I’ve come to love the country. Bulgaria is actually a nice place to visit during the summer..very lovely place! Video below is Varna, Bulgaria 🇧🇬 https://www.facebook.com/share/v/15hNf9PUTv/?mibextid=wwXIfr |
Well I just got back from the National Archeological Museum here in Athens, it was so exciting for me really. I will post a video about this on my page on Facebook. The entrance ticket for the Museum is 6 Euros for a day!
|
hammed71:Man there is need to declare state of emergency in Athens Greece, Bulgaria and Romania is heaven, you cannot in good faith put Greece in same sentence with Bulgaria and Romania. And mind you I have lived both in Bulgaria and Romania, and I hold a Bulgarian citizenship. Greece is not just cutting it for me, the streets are dirty, homeless people everywhere littering the city. Man I don’t want to be sending pictures here, it looks that bad. People that are coming here for greener pasture, I am not seeing anything green about the pastures here! |
hammed71:I have a Bulgarian citizenship but I live in Amsterdam Netherlands. |
Checked in already, kept my bag and I’m out exploring Omonoia Square, Athens.
|
potosky:Yeah rice with beaf.. that’s 9 Euros. |
Like Greece seriously need help, I don’t know how these people managed to be part of EU and Schengen area. They still have homeless people everywhere just the same way it was the last time I was here.. men this is just irritating.
|
TheWolfen:Enjoy the thread! |
Tochex101:Yes you are right! Let’s see how it goes.. Good morning |
princeade86:You’re welcome! Enjoy the thread! |
6:25am I arrived Athens, currently in a restaurant 600 meters away from my Airbnb to fill my pot belly. Athens always disappoints, such an old city with ancient architecture, I love Budapest better. And it (Athens) looks dirty always with homeless people everywhere.. Feel free to ask me any questions if you have them. I’m a well-traveled individual and have been exploring Europe extensively since 2012. Ok now let me eat and keep it moving!! Good morning from Greece!

Another stopover Location: Niavis Regional Bus station, Greece 🇬🇷 Three hours more to Athens!
|
The photo is me inside the train's restroom. I boarded the train at Varna Railway Station in Bulgaria, heading to Sofia, Bulgaria. From there, I took a bus to Athens, Greece. I'm still on my way to Athens; we crossed the Greek border about two hours ago and had a stopover in Thessaloniki. Price of train ticket from Varna to Sofia is 36 BGN approx 18 euros, the journey lasted for about 8 hours. Price of bus ticket from Sofia to Athens 60 Euros/120 BGN. Travel time approximately 11 hours. I forgot to mention that there was no border check between Bulgaria and Greece due to the fact that Bulgaria joined the Schengen area earlier last year 2024. So everywhere na salibo!

Hello everyone, good day! Back in 2010/2011, Nairaland was a great help to me in finding the travel information I needed. Today, I want to give back by sharing my travel experiences here. I’ll be providing firsthand insights about the countries I’ve visited and lived in. I’ve traveled to many places, but I’ll start with Greece. This is my third visit to Greece my first was in 2015, the second in 2018, and now today, January 6th, as I’ve just crossed the border into Greece from Varna, Bulgaria. Btw, I’m also a travel blogger. If you’re curious to know more about my journeys, you can check me out on Facebook and Instagram (@ViralGerald). Just to clarify, I’m not a travel agent and will never ask for money to share information. I also provide free travel consultations when I have the time. I consistently post travel content on my Facebook page, so feel free to follow along if you’d like to pick up a thing or two. I’ve explored a good number of EU countries and always share firsthand, reliable information. |
