The Technical Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, has asked the Stephen Keshi to cut down his 42-man list he submitted to the Committee, for the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Malawi.

Paul Bassey, speaking on behalf of the Committee after their emergency meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, explained that the number of players invited was too much.

“We have looked at Keshi’s list for Malawi match and we have decided that for now some of the home based players should be dropped from the list,” he said.

“The list is bogus and we want a harmonized list for the World Cup qualifying match against Malawi on September 7, 2014.

“We have told Keshi that we want the list of 22 players that will prosecute the Malawi Match for now. That’s what we decided at the meeting and we will write him officially to do that,” the NFF Technical Committee member said.

The Minister of Environment, Hadiza Ibrahim Mailafia, has revealed that about 20,000 children die daily from hunger.
The minister disclosed this at a workshop to mark World Environmental Day in Abuja.
She said, “According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, about one – third of global food production is wasted in the farm to work, which is equivalent to 1.3 billion tonnes of food annually. This she described as colossal waste of food by the world.
