Please how did you come to the conclusion that I overstayed or I was refused huh? I have never overstayed a visa so next time maybe u should ask instead of jumping into conclusions,
Thanks
Just asking not my conclusion. Checking well your write up, I mistakenly compare your write up with someone here. Thinking you are refused before.

Hi, thank you, yes, my first Schengen visa was in 2009 but since then I have traveled to the USA a couple of times, uk, I actually did my masters there, tho the last time I traveled was in 2018
Your last travel out is 2018? 7 years ago, is damn too long. Next time one and half-years interval is the maximum you can decide not to travel out; hope you did not overstay when you travel to both USA and UK? (Maybe that is why you are been refused)

Getting a visa is another world entirely. You must be constant and efficient in Travelling out and do not overstay to have better chance in your next Visa application at any embassies of your choice.

All will be well, when you are successful in getting a new visa, please use it, do not overstay and do not stay longer before applying for a new visa. That is the theory

All the Best!!!

Eyaah plenty stories that cannot fill a bottle of water, I am not being proud, I am just shutting down your false narratives.

Before you registered and started sharing info here, many first timers have been getting Schengen Visas through credible information that others have shared on this thread.
That is why I said you lack experience. First timers getting Schengen visas means you know all than those who have more than enough like water. Lower your pride dude with this you cannot go places. Nobody is misleading here. We are here to learn and improve.

With my Travel Experience am still learning too

You're the funny one here, talking like you're the consulate or the Visa officer reviewing applications.
Point me to where they stated their policies have changed concerning booking flights, if not, you should take several seats back.
I heard you, yes, am not either consulate or VO but with my travel experiences for 35 GOOD years (No countries all over the world i have never travel to Say any country) which am still on it i have travel out 3 times this year, will STILL travel out 3 more times before the end of the year I know their rules, policies, what it takes to approve or refuse any applicants visas. You got just 1 visa you are telling me here that I should seat back.

So, if policies change, they will tell you or say it publicly?? Funny you, lower your pride, and learn here. I will not argue with you. Because you know nothing and I see you lack Travel experience.

I did it as a first timer, there's no spoiling things here. They just need to see your itinerary. They clearly state themselves that you should not pay for flights before you get your Visa.

Or you also think they don't know about the direct flights either.

Also, you only need a transit visa if the layover is going to be for more than 12 hours, which clearly isn't the case, their layover is usually under 12 hours to prevent this from happening.

Stop sharing half baked information and misinformation here.
If you do it as a first timer means automatically you can do it forever? you are funny

Half Baked informationhuh ppsshhhh Funny you. Let him / her go-ahead. i rest my head. Correction, nobody informs him / her to pay for flight before getting the visa.

They just need to see your itinerary huh?---- WRONG. you think the embassy will not confirm it, with the itinerary? Am not saying he needs a transit or layover or whatever. What i know is he should document his / her documents perfectly. because you did it last time then it will keep working forever.

NOTE -- Embassy Policies changes. For me I believe is not right.

It is workable don't mind him. Use Ethiopian Airlines to book your flight, use the pay later option. Your flight ticket will be sent to your email.
Huumm, yes, it is Possible, but do you think the embassy don't know the theory? We spoil things for ourselves and future applicants.

Ethiopia airline you need to transit, Wise thing to do why not get it done sincerely look for a direct flight. IF you are a first timer i will advise you not to do it but frequent traveler, you can

I understand you here. But still yet either you book the cheapest hotels or not #7.2M is too low for his trip to France. for 8 days. List all the criteria i listed earlier

If you convert #7.2M to Euros it is approximately -- 4,100 euros.

You are lucky dude trust me your visa application was handle by a good-hearted VO.

Please i can't find where to do the dummy booking on airfrance website.

The hold booking I see is only for 72hours.
Hey Dude,

Why you complicating things for yourself, if your visa is refused you will be thinking why? Not knowing you caused it yourself. Why going for a dummy Flight booking? Dummy booking hold reservation maximum for 72 hours, after 72 hours it will be cancelled. It is not Hotel reservation.

I will advise you to look for a trust airline agent, pay him / her the flight reservation booking under #15k - #20k to have a rest of mind,

*** please be aware that Flight booking reservation are among the essential documents the VO / embassy does confirm in any visa application.

Cheers!!!

Hello,

Please, do not compare your own situation or your visa application with others. "Luck is just on your side". Typically, #7.2M is too low to visit France for 8 days.

Think about the economic situation in the country?

How much is #7,2M this moment?

If it is for real Calculate it - Returned Flight ticket, Accommodation for 8 days, Feeding, Transport (here and there) and other miscellaneous expenses. with family back home, also are you not going to save money behind for use when you are back?

Cheers!!!

Hello@Everyone,

Has anyone appealed a France visa refusal? I need some advice...
Someone with experience in a Graceful Appeal, an Appeal to the Commission for Appeals Against Visa Application Refusals (CRRV), or an Appeal to the Administrative Court of Nantes ?
If you are a computer literate check AI on any system, explain all to AI, he will draft you a good appeal letter. But on my own perspective I do not advise you to appeal it is a waste of time. You have 5% chance you will win the appeal.

Hi guys ! Please I need your input.. Travel date is December 20 . I chose Lagos as a center of submission but the earliest date I'm seeing is December 1 . How do I change to Abuja ? While filling the form, I also chose Lagos to submit.
Are you applying for a tourist visa? I guess yes. Cancel, delete your France visa form and TLS Lagos Centre wait for 24 - 48 hours. Fill in for Abuja Centre

I would suggest you do, because they have access to that information, you can highlight it and tell them to look at your current application based on its merit and not on your previous refusals.
No, you do not need to say that. But the VO in charge of your application will see it on their system. Please seek advice from expert and prepare very well. Visa Issuance is very hard now.

Goodevening all,My visa was denied last week.I was really sad coz I felt I was supposed to get the visa.Reasons for refusal.
(1) ... The purpose of stay is not reliable..
(2)There are reasonable doubts that you will not return to your home country when your visa expires.I applied for a 8 day visit to Paris
Pls how do I correct these reasons?

Docs submitted
Visa application form,signed
Employment letter
Leave letter
Work ID card
Work introduction Letter
Utility bill
Cover letter
Marriage Certificate
Land docs
Travel Itinerary
Dummy flight
Hotel booking
Payslips
Salary account Bank statement,#7.2m
Pension statement roughly #4m
Family photos
Kids birth certificate
Travel history (African countries)
And other docs I can't remember as I type here now

Pls shld I appeal? how do I go abt the appeal?
Shld I reapply immediately?
Shld I apply thru conference or I shld still reapply thru Tourism?

Pls help a brother pls
Very sorry for your refusal. Why not seek for some advice from experts before you apply? No, do not apply immediately until you understand, study your refusal letter and get them solved properly.

According to documents submitted - Your Balance in your Bank Statement is too low. #7.2M is too low to visit France for 8 days. That is why refusal Number 1 is issued to you.

**** I also do not think your cover letter is not explanatory enough to the VO.

On Refusal Number 2 - Means your Travel History, you never travel before. Look for some civilized countries to go first before applying again. May i asks which of the Africa visas you presented? Africa visas are not recognized any more.

Getting a Schengen, USA, Canada Visas sometimes you need to use money to find money. This is your situation now.

Good luck

Are you truly a visa master? And why will you call me a liar or misleading anyone? Please make your research and cover your face in shame as the one misleading. Don’t dabble into what you have no knowledge of. YOU CAN TRAVEL TO MEXICO WITH A MULTIPLE SCHENGEN VISA! WITHOUT ANY OTHER VISA NEEDED!!! Make your research and stop unnecessary assumptions. This is something I have done before!!!!
Dude sorry my bad---

Yes, you can enter Mexico with a valid Schengen visa for tourist, business (invited) and transit purposes for up to 180 days. This applies to holders of multiple-entry Schengen visas that are currently valid and have been used at least once to enter the Schengen Area. Key requirements: But he/she needs to be careful if his/her requirement is not perfect

Am afraid 😟 You may wait for 1 month as a frequent traveler.

I applied since 2nd September 2025 as a frequent traveller I got my passport back on 3rd October.

I guess most of the VO are on vacation.

Write an appeal and send to nantes via dhl
Why are you appealing? I believe it’s a waste of time. There is a 95% tendency chance that you will loose the appeal

I advise you do not appeal. You can re- apply but make sure you have corrected and resolve what is stated in the former refusal letter

All the best

Is it more difficult to get group appointment and if its easier to get a single person's appointment, is it advisable for husband and wife to try to find appointments individually?

For context, someone earlier mentioned getting next day Abuja appointment but for couple, I can only see November.

Thank you
Yes it is easy for both . Apply at Lagos Centre

[I was denied france tourist visa 2 times 2024and abd early this year 2025 without travel history, after my refusal in france early this year ,i was able to get canada visa and i travelled and come back ,now i want to aplyfor france again by October next month 2025 , my question now is that ,do i stand a better chance to get the france tourist visa ? Because in my orevious refusal letter they said i will not come back before my visa expire, anyone here can proof read the documents I want to submit pls ?
author=sanyaolurilwan post=136878792]Good Morning Bosses in the house,

For those who submitted their applications recently, please what's the average number of weeks it takes to process France visa now? I want to submit tomorrow 23rd September and I have a planned trip to somewhere in the world by October 22nd, I want to be sure my visa would be ready by then before submission, else I should just hold on to my passport.

Thanks, response will be appreciated.
I will advise you not to apply in France for now. You never correct the formal refusal letter. Going to Canada does not mean you will be issued. Remember France have denied you 2 times before. Then you got Canada. You went to Canada and come back.

Applied at other Schengen countries like - Finland, Swiss or Poland. When you are issued and come back then you can apply again at France embassy

**** On submission of Application recently-- Better hold on to your passport it is 50/50 chance your visa application will have been decided by on or before October 22nd

Hello house, France just refused my Conference visa application on ground that according to them that they doubt if I will leave the member state if my visa expired.

Now I don't want to wait longer, I want to apply for Lithuania🇱🇹, and this same France is handling it in Lagos.. Hope it won't have any effect?
I advise you do not apply. If you do it will still be same refusal. You can apply at other Schengen countries

No, dates come out, but after selection, it doesn't move to the next stage. Last night, I woke up to check only to not find my application again. Got deleted.

I tried to initiate a new one but it says my passport and visa reference is linked to another group. Yet I can't find the group.

It's just getting complex
Ho I c, have you open an account with another group before? That is why. Better you cancel the one not needed first to proceed

I am still unable to book my appointment on TLSContact website.

When I get to the stage of selecting the appointment time, I get stuck. Can't move forward and the error has always been the same (see the attached image).

Is there anyone experiencing this? I tried to create a new account but I discovered that it flags my passport number - that it already exists.

I don't know if I will get the same message if I use Lagos TLSContact.
I heard Abuja has problem. Choose Lagos centre but you may experience same but not for long. If you are refresh and refresh mostly visit the site in the midnights or weekend
