UNDER ACCADEMIC STAFFING IN INSURANCE AND ACTUARIAL SCIENCE DEPT. IN FACULTY OF BUSINESS ADMISTRATION, IMO STATE UNIVERSITY OWERRI.
It has becoming worrisome and unbearable to the under graduate and post graduate students of the lack of ACCADEMIC STAFF in INSURANCE dept. in Imo State University Owerri, for some years back now, the INSURANCE dept. in Imo State university has being scrawling like snail to survive in the accademic environment in the institution.
The dept. has only one Lecturer both under graduate and post graduate studies making things difficult for the students in that dept.
This clarion call has become imperative for the Vice Chancellor of the University Nneoma Prof. Adaobi Obasi and the Visitor of the University, The Executive Governor of the state Owelle Rochas Okoroacha to investigate this matter to findout whether there is sabotage to block other accademic staff from being employed in to the dept. as rumour making around that selfish individual/individuals is working tirelessly frustrating any move made to employ accademic staff in the Insurance dept. so as to remain all and all and not having any healthy rivalry in Insurance dept. in Imo State University. Owerri. The same person or persons has been misdirecting the authorties in the University that there are no qualify ACCADEMIC STAFF to employ as lectures in the dept. making it look so difficult to do so; where there are enough qualified and professional people that can pick up the teaching appointment in INSURANCE dept.

Therefore; if nothing is done to tackle this anormally, this will rubbish the free education programme of this present government.

One of Senators from Rivers State submitted petition against the nomination of Amaechi as a minister, Gov. Wike sponsored some unemployed youth to protest against the nomination of Amaechi; Wike also find this time convienently to receive the report of the probe panel set up to probe Amaechi just to overhead the polity and rob the chances of Amaechi from been selected as minister of Fed. Rep. of Nig. just to label Amaechi as a common criminal.
Wike was a Chairman of a LGA, Wike was a Chief of Staff to Amachi, Wike also was a minister. Can Wike tell us that he has not stolen public fund? despite that the then Oga said that stealing is not corruption. Amaechi toured the whole country and beyond campaigning for PMB for his election while some people labelled him as a judas because he stood to his ground and focus on his agenda of making a change;
NOW you don't want Amaechi to reap where he sowed, to benefit from what he laboured. Even the senator that opposed his nomination; is he not corrupt? is there any senator in that hallow chamber that can beat his chest that he/she is not corrupt? none. truely Amaechi merited the ministerial slot

Imo State University has won the All Nigeria University Debate that was participated by 25 Nigeria Universities and other four African countries which include GHANA, MOZAMBIQUE, SENEGAL and SOUTH AFRICA,the debate took place at Imo State University, Owerri.
