Abioye Joshua Oluwadamilare is a young man with a vision and passion to reposition Nigeria as a country all would be proud of by 2060. In this interview with CELESTINE AMOKE, he shares what he has termed Nigeria-Vision 2060. Excerpts:

What is your name and your mission for visiting Independent Newspapers?
My name is Abioye Joshua Oluwadamilare. I have a message of hope for all Nigerians.

Okay, what is the message?
I have a message of hope for the good people of Nigeria and that is that by 2060 Nigeria would be among the best economies of the world.
Are you a pastor? How come the message now?
I am not a “Pastor” but, “Anointed Priest Prophet and king” and “Now” is the right time. God has revealed to me what we are to do to make the country great again. God has heard our crying for help and He is ready to do for us His will. For this reason, a movement is born tagged Nigeria-Vision 2060.

Tell us more about this Nigeria-Vision 2060.

Nigeria-Vision2060 is a movement set up to streamline and guide Nigerians to build for ourselves a future we yearn for and to give the next generation a land truly flowing with milk and honey and a nation full of patriots. There are many intelligent and vibrant Nigerians who believe that the future is bright for Nigeria. Some Nigerians had been talking about the problems of the country and proffering solutions in wrong ways. However, it's time for us to truly own our country. We all must see the greater future and believe the land we are on is truly not cursed.
How are you going to achieve this?
We are assembling a team of vibrant Nigerians who truly believe that the country can become one of the great nations of the world. Our target is 2060 when Nigeria will clock 100 years as an independent nation and our major focus is on electricity, transportation, health and education.
Our aim is to build the next generation of our country where the aspirations of the people would be realisable; a country where the citizens’ hope is fulfilled. Many Nigerians are ignorantly cursing and condemning the nation God has blessed us with, forgetting that they ought to be the one building the nation. Vision 2060 is all about knowing the truth and pursuing it; it is about building the people and a trusted society.

The first step on our program is to encourage all Nigerian to do the following:
 On Friday, 27th of September, 2019 every Nigerian, young or old, home and abroad, should pray to God for forgiveness of our sins and for Him to grant us the spirit of true repentance.
 On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, all Nigerians young or old, home and abroad, should come out in joyful mood, put on the color of the country (Green & White or touch of Green & White) to celebrate her Independence.
 On Sunday, October 6, 2019 every Nigerian, young or old, home and abroad, should again pray, thanking God for His love and blessings for Nigeria and (personally) ask for the spirit of love for one’s country.

Please note that for September 27 and October 6, 2019, the prayer can be by individual group or in religious houses but it is very important to note that no money should be contributed for such.
What has brought us to the poor state of affairs in this country?
Our soul is hungry for power and wealth but our spirit is not thirsty for righteousness. Righteousness exalts a nation, the Scripture says.
On October 1, our movement will kick off with the launch of our first message tagged, “The Future Is Now” to build hope and create awareness among Nigerians. There is one simple but difficult thing that we all must do before we can attain what we yearn for and that is what we will be talking about in the next one year.
Our message in the next one year would be: Let the Church go silent on prosperity and come louder on Salvation; Let the political leaders think more of progress of their environment than their families; Encourage the followers to be more patriotic and Let everyone play his part with sincerity of mind in nation-building.
