Borrowing is bad cos in our case, 95% goes to recurrent expenditure and debt servicing .. we’re broke. It’s like a man funding his household from borrowed money. Borrowing from peter to pay paul
There is nothing you have typed that I didnt already state.
Non progressive capital expenditures is all you listed.
So i really don't understand your argument

They are not trying to tackle the main source of the problem...how will the naira not continue to fall when they keep on borrowing money recklessly for funding of recurrent expenditures?? Sometimes I wonder if the CBN governor really read Economics in school?? As long as they keep on borrowing to service recurrent expenditures and plunging themselves into more and more debt the naira will continue to fall until it becomes useless
our crude exports are now more than imports causing an imbalance to our terms of trade. So long as we don't make enough forex revenue, dd will always outweigh ss for forex.
Additionally, borrowing isn't bad so long as you are using it to fund progressive capital infrastructure like hydro Electric dams, Inter road network, power projects and education.
Emefiele is a curse!

Folks, get ready for an exchange rate of 1,000 Naira to $1. They will soon introduce 5,000 Naira bill (note) . Next year's inflation rate could reach 25-27%, especially if one of the axis of evil is voted into office.
I was just telling someone exactly the same thing. By Christmas this year, it would likely be Close to N1k and yes, the CBN will work with SEC to introduce N5k notes before the end on 2023.

FamilyRe: Nigerian Man in US Whose Wife Threw Him Out His Own Home Speaks (vid) by vivaciousvivi(f): 10:52am On Jul 20, 2022
Dshocker:
You are funny, Google the meaning of prenup.

If she had signed a prenup, then she wouldn't get a dime from their divorce.

And in America, you dare not hit your wife, because the laws of the land protects women and children more.

He acted wisely by recording his evidence and also not hitting his wife.

Lets assume you've lived in America for 20yrs and you were able to buy a house $10M, later you got married and had problems with her and you hit her, my brother you might lose 50% of your money, if not all to her and the house automatically goes to her.
Not all Prenups mean that either party would not be getting a dime after a divorce.
It depends on the terms of the settlement either party decides to put therein.

Hmm, interest rates for loans will increase again
Interest rates for Savings may also increase marginally.
They also want more people to lend to the govt at the Money market.
But Nigeria operates a cash-based economy and there is just too much raw liquidity in the system.
Ask the Gov why 13% last month yielded little results
