oz4real83:I think it's because of the literary term "bluebloods" |
Malroux:Each kid will still get about $300Mn. Assuming the 1% value won't increase before his death if his networth increases further. They may even get more than that. The value doesn't include expensive gifts or property. Also, divorce made his wife a billionaire too and over 50 percent of her wealth will still go to the same kids. They will still be billionaires in their own right. |
VaginaAcademic:I am honestly unsure the aviation industry and citizens are really seeing the seriousness of the issue. Maybe if it's a Boeing aircraft that crashes, they will sit up. |
MERCHANDISER:sure, send a PM |
MERCHANDISER:Maybe Russia should be the one to stop. How about that? Some autocrat wakes up a 2nd time and decides he wants to annex another part of a fully sovereign nation in the 21st century and that country's leader is supposed to say "Ok, boss. Come take whatever you want, however you want it and anytime you want it". You guys should stop talking like this. |
Mamayam:Awwww so nice to know I live in your head rent free till date when I don't even know you. But then, such is life. some people know how to leave indelible memories on others don't they? How is life? How is your health? Remember to drink cold water ~ so they dont accuse me of killing you before your time ![]() #Hugs |
Originality007:You guys are acting like Ukraine was the aggressor. The man is trying to defend his country. People are dead, dying and fled their homeland over a war they didn't start! How are you guys putting this on Zelensky How?! |
This country had one kobo coins ![]() |
NaughtyBrainiac:You work 20hrs only during Term time. You are free to work more hours otherwise. |
budaatum:I may be wrong but his proposal was not keenly accepted especially across the Southern parts due to what most considered as policy flaws- the feelers were he was making it mandatory for States to carve out land for this, the arms bearing and safety issue was not properly addressed. Also, his government was viewed as sentimentally aligned to the north and the south didn't see how it woukd truly favour them. Plus the spate of killings by BH and herdsmen (attacking farmers in the SW) was just still too fresh for a lot of southerners to align themselves with it. It was just the right idea, wrong approach and wrong timing I guess. |
CyrusVI:I like you! |
Mindlog:Same thought that passed through my head. Some leaders are shameless. It wasn't planned yet him and his entire immediate and extended family fled taking with them almost $1.2Bn ill-gotten wealth to offshore accounts within 48hours. |

XerXers:GDP per capita will worsen the data for us due to our over population o. |
God1000:This is heartbreaking. I actually shed some tears. The civilian population of Borno has not had a chance to breathe and have respite at all. Boko Haram and insurgency, drought and now flood. Sigh! |
DevilsEqual:The early roman empire during the reign of Cicero, Julius ceaser and Pompeii, held sway over Egypt. As a matter of fact, Cleopatra and Mark Anthony, her lover and father of some of her kids committed suicide as a result of fear of imprisonment and torture from the invading Romans whom they had been trading with. The name may have been unchanged but they had not always been politically autonomous. |
obonujoker:A list without including Port au-prince in Haiti is no list! |
Countries seek loans from the IMF to address economic crises, stabilize their currencies, implement structural reforms, and alleviate balance of payments difficulties. Five of the 10 most indebted countries are in Africa, while three are in South America. The only European country on our list, Ukraine has relied on international support amidst the conflict with Russia. It is estimated that Russia’s full-scale invasion of the country caused the loss of a third of the country’s economy. The country owes $9 billion to the IMF. In total, almost 100 countries owe money to the IMF, and the grand total of all of these debts is $111 billion. The below 10 countries (top 10) account for about 69% of these debts. Kingray10:The lady that paid the amount is based in Turkey so not earning Naira. |
Watianoengineer:Please check the current inflation rates of the 2 countries you mentioned. As a matter of fact, Japan has even been in a Deflation before now and still remains one of the most developed countries in the whole of Asia. I think its economy is either the 3rd or 4th largest in the world. Also find out the history of how this so called recessions came to be. It came from Lyndon Johnsons era back then and modern day Economits have posited it is not entirely accurate to depict a country's growth using that measure. As a matter of fact, the USA where it originated from, do not even use it today. In a decisive move, Jumia is shuttering its food delivery service, Jumia Food, across its operating countries, including Nigeria, Kenya, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Uganda, and Algeria, by the end of December 2023. The company will now focus on its core physical goods business and the Jumia Pay platform across its 11 countries of operations. Since its inception, Jumia Food experienced fluctuating fortunes, with a significant 82% year-over-year growth in 2021, reflecting the company's strong foothold in the food delivery segment. However, in 2023, the company saw a marked decline in Quarterly Active Consumers and Orders. Parallel to Jumia Food's shutdown, Bolt Food, another significant player in the African food delivery market, announced its exit from Nigeria and South Africa in December 2023. Bolt Food's departure, despite its expansion efforts in major Nigerian cities like Lagos, is attributed to economic downturns. 4KNGOATS:Omo! You don vex o. While there are harsher economic conditions across the world post-covid, I am just shocked how low Nigeria is falling economically in such a short spate of time. Google news is geadling P & G exit this morning. CBN is talking of bank recap again etc. Its one stale news after the other. |
Turkish Airlines, Emirate Airlines, British Airways, and a host of foreign airlines might leave Nigeria very soon if funds trapped in the country are not released soon. In its media briefing held on Friday, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) raised an alarm over the total amount owed by countries in Africa and the Middle East, apportioning over 70 percent of the total debt owed by Africa to Nigeria. Kamil Alawadhi, Regional Vice President, Africa and Middle East, speaking at the press briefing, said, “Nigeria alone accounts for almost half of blocked or trapped funds valued at US$2.57 billion.” Nigeria’s debt or trapped funds belonging to these foreign airlines is $792 million, just $66 million short of the total trapped funds owed by Egypt ($348 million), Algeria ($199 million), the XAF zone ($183 million), and Ethiopia ($128 million). Some would say this situation calls for the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency in the aviation sector to save the country and especially the sector from being blacklisted as a no-fly area in the future. @ FreeStuffsNG I hope you know that the debts on this list do not include China? One of the modules I took during my Masters was to do a detailed study and presentation of the Economic relationship between China and Kenya. That amount listed there is paltry compared to what Kenya owes China. Infact, China practically owns that country. China happens to be the world's largest Creditor at the moment and would soon turn to be the largest Debt recovery receptor as well. When it comes to China's debts, Africa is in trouble especially during the period of their Road and Belt Initiative over the last 15yrs. Most of these debts are either due, or would be within the next 5yrs at interest amounts that are still shrouded in some level of secrecy. TrumpDonald2:Toh, thank you jare. I have even forgotten about World Bank although their interest and repayment terms are a bit more lenient towards 3rd world countries |
