At the moment, what we know through Flexisaf, is that:

1. The exam will be objective based
2. It will be subdivided into Sections A and B
2. Section A will be English language
3. Section B will be specialty i.e linked to the course the individual chosen at the time of application.

As to the structure of section B i.e whether it will be categorized or not, I can't explicitly comment on this. It may be sectioned or not but one thing is clear (and I feel most important); it will be objective and linked to the individual's course selection for further study.

So, For section A, prepare as though preparing for a verbal test.
For section B, read widely through materials related to your course. For folks in petroleum engineering, for example, you'd want to cover the basics in core topics i.e in drilling, production (both sub and surface) and reservoir engineering (may also want to include petroleum economics).
I have seen some questions regarding subsea engineering. Subsea engineering is a branch of mechanical engineering. So ensure you are competent here i.e in mechanical. If you do some little research, say through Cranfield University's website, there is a course list for subsea engineering (under offshore and ocean tech.). There you may gain further guidance going forward.
For materials, use good keywords in google (the main keyword + pdf e.g flow assurance/ HSE/ Objective/ subsea engineering + pdf/ppt etc)

Are we expecting just 2 sections alone? i.e The compulsory English and the Specialist section (i.e tailored to the candidate's area of specialty).

Good news everyone. Hope u guys have got admission in top schools as advised before.

ON MSC EXAM

The MSc test will take place July 8, 2017. This is the best overseas scholarship more than most other countries scholarship scheme and common wealth. U will live as a king. Practise the past questions; recent format changed and past once. Focus on d discipline section exam as it carries bulk of the marks.

Moreover, u can get work and other opportunities internationally due to your UK or US degree. U won't b limited to Nigeria alone and this give u access to seek PhD scholarship and work all over d world.

If u plan to go to UK, go to top schools only. If u graduate in some engineering disciplines with good grade, u are eligible for work visa in Australia and Netherland.

Easiest way of becoming a millionaire with just 2 hours of exam. So STUDY, STUDY AND STUDY. There is nothing like luck. I read hard to obtain my MSc Scholarship back then.

ON PHD

No exams for PhD but only interview will be conducted in a later date. Know your research proposal

I just tell a cab UNILAG... any info/description/directions, from anyone conversant with the area, will be much appreciated.

Good Day all. I´m Vlad, new on Nairaland.
I´m a graduate of Pet. Engn dpt. UNIPORT, RiversState. I´m strongly considering an Msc. course in drilling and production engrng. @ Clausthal... any advice ? I´ve gotten the application form and i´m filling it now. Any advice on what I shouldn´t/should do ?
