The only reason we’re all expressing life differently is that we have different rates at which we vibrate.
Energy vibrates at different frequencies.
To the point, if you vibrate health, you experience health. If you vibrate wealth, you experience that.
You also draw all the other people that are vibrating at that same frequency with you; and you create experiences that manifest wealth.
YOU have a frequency as relates to everything in your life – including money.
What’s your frequency?
You can tell, based on how you feel.
Now, ask yourself, honestly, how do you feel about money?
That should tell you exactly where you’re vibrating at.
Money Has A Frequency Too!
Really. It does. If you’re always broke, then you know, you’re not at the same frequency as money. It’s that simple.
You can’t be on the same frequency as money, and not have any.
Do you know someone who gets a windfall of cash, but after a short while, they can’t explain how or why it’s gone?
Are you this someone? Does it happen way too often? You should check that you’re on the same frequency as money.
Abundance is all Around You:
Understand something – money is simply a symbol. It’s a representation of wealth, not wealth itself. You have to begin to acknowledge the abundance all around you – the abundance that you are.
Abundance is the ability to do what you want to do when you need to do it.
So, it’s not just money that can allow that. A friend could offer to buy you tickets to a show you’ve been wanting to see. You could stumble on something valuable to sell.
It’s not just about money.
Once you train yourself to recognize the abundance that is around you, then and only then can you become attractive to more of abundance. And that includes money!

On the 26th June 2020, the Azemobor Gregory Foundation volunteer team was at Ewu, Edo state, to visit and empower a widow, Mrs Ojiekere Maris. She is a young widow of 35yrs, with 5 children, who lost her husband last year to a brief illness. Since the demise of her husband who was the sole breadwinner, her life has been shattered, as she struggles to overcome the trauma she suffers and the burden to cater for her 5 kids

And so her joy knew no bounds today when she received a free cash grant of #20,000 to start a petty food business to support her family.

Mrs Dorothy Iwu, a 70yrs old widow, who lost her husband 5 years ago, struggles to survive on the street from petty trading--selling roasted yam and plantain. Although she had 4 children for her late husband, 2 died mysteriously according to her.
The husband of one of her surviving daughters, who invited her to Lagos, to cater for her is currently down with an ailment in which he has also been struggling for 4 years and can no longer provide for her, Now she is left with no other option than to fend for herself in a hard way, in spite her old age.
In a saner clime, Mrs Dorothy, ought to be admitted into old people's home and being cared for by the government. But unfortunately, Nigeria does not have such facilities for its senior citizens. So sad!
And so it was a great relief for Mrs Dorothy today when the Azemobor Gregory Foundation team visited her at Dopemu under the bridge and gifted her with a free grant of #30, 000 to support her petty business.
She could not hide her excitement as she lavishly prayed for the Foundation and its partners/ donors for putting a smile on her face.

The Azemobor Gregory Foundation made a cash donation of #20,000 to Mrs Afolayan, a widow with 2 kids Dare and Michael for the termly educational support (Scholarship) of her 2 kids.
Azemobor Gregory Foundation made a commitment to sponsor Dare and Michael’s Education from the Secondary level to the University level since 2016 and we’ve remained faithful to our promises.
Dare and Michael’s father died 18 years ago of food poison when Michael was barely 2 years old, leaving the poor widowed mother who is a petty trader to the sole responsibility of the children’s upkeep.
Many widows are oppressed, depressed and even neglected by the family and society they call their own.
Let’s give them the hope of true living.
Beloved, about 14 million Nigerian Children are out of school, and many of them are children of Widows who are struggling to survive.
Remember, every child is your child.
Whenever you support a poor child, you are demonstrating an authentic service to God, there is no religion greater than love!

The God You Seek is Within!

The bewilderment that awaits many of us that are religious zealots, is the ultimate realization that religion is an organized scam, a man-made boondoggle designed to delude mankind from the knowledge of the true God. Many of us grew up tutored and programmed to accept the religion practised by our parents, and this to a large extent shaped our piety and beliefs. Also, the part of the world where you were born would invariably influence your religious orientation and affiliation.
The greatest malfeasance of religion, however, is the misrepresentation of God to mankind. The account of the identity and nature of God-given by religion is subtle chicanery to hoodwink humanity. To put it plainly, many of us have no knowledge of the true God other than the imaginary picture painted by our religion. The ‘God’ we think we know as religious devotees, is an invention of man, and not the true God. I know this truth could be difficult for many of us who are hypnotized by religious doctrines to comprehend, and in fact, the salient message of this piece could be dismissed as the ‘ranting of an anti-Christ’. But before you wave this ‘revelation’ away, let me show you how your religion has misled you into worshipping an ‘unknown religious God’. Follow me……..
The difference between the True God and Religious ‘God’
1. The true God is the supreme being who is the creator and owner of the universe, The religious ‘God’ is a human concept, a man-made phenomenon
2. The true God is one indivisible entity. The religious ‘God’ has a plural identity. Every religion, sects or denomination have their unique ‘Gods’ that is different from one another
3. The true God does not recognize any religion and He is not the author of any religion propagated by man
4. The true God is real, He is the Force of life behind the universe. The reality of this ‘Force’ is seen in His ubiquitous creations. The physical earth is sublime evidence of actuality. The religious ‘God’ is fake, unreal and a mere deception
5. The true God does not need any ‘holy book’ to communicate with us. He speaks to our hearts as our ‘ moral conscience’ ‘Holy books’ are man-made written fables, traditions and doctrines designed to brainwash and control the minds of people
6. The true God operates by natural laws or principles that govern the universe. They are unwritten and infallible. They apply to every of God’s creation. The religious ‘God’ operate by creed and doctrines codified in man-made ‘holy books’
7. The true God does not dwell in man-made temples. He dwells in the heart of men
8. To serve humanity is no serve the true God. Service to religious ‘God ‘is done through complicated rituals and activities
9. Righteousness before the True God is defined by a life of purpose and service to humanity, but religious righteousness is a measure of your adherence to man-made doctrines
10. The true God created us to manifest his creative and moral nature on earth. but religion is preparing his followers for an ‘imaginary heaven or paradise’
11. The true God communicates and speaks to us directly in our hearts. He does not need the intermediary of clergymen, who are mere custodians of organized religious traditions
12. The true God does not discriminate among humans, we all belong to him. He is God to all. The religious ‘God’ is God only to the faithful believers of each religion
The true God is a spirit that dwells in our heart, who constantly seeks expression in our moral conduct and goodness to others. This is the concept of SPIRITUALITY!
You have lived a lie all your life!!!
IT IS TIME TO FREE YOURSELF FROM THE DECEPTION AND BONDAGE OF RELIGION.

Mrs Odunayo Jegede is a 58 years old widow from Osun state, residing in Lagos Nigeria.
The hapless widow lost her husband in the year 2016 to a brief ailment... She has been a food seller since 1999, in which over the years her business grew vigorously.
Three (3) years ago her business suffered a setback after she was diagnosed with a certain ailment that demanded a lot of money from her, she had to spend all her savings and sell her business utensils in order to pay her bills.
During one of Azemobor Gregory foundation's widow's counselling and business training session, Mrs Odunayo was an attendee after which the team promised to help her re-start her business.
Today the Faith Army Ministry International (FAMI) Partnering Azemobor Gregory Foundation presented the sum of N20,000 to Mrs Odunayo Jegede to re-start her food selling a business, Mrs Odunayo Jegede's life is set for a positive change.

A UK-based Charity organization, Faith Army Ministry International partners Azemobor Gregory Foundation to lift Widows and indigent mothers out of poverty in Nigeria.
Many thanks to my big sister Mercy Bello, the founder of Faith Army Ministry International, for believing in us and this great partnership to preach the gospel of love to the world.

An Indigent single mother who lost her job due to the Covid-19 Pandemic received financial assistance from Faith Army Ministry International ( UK- based Charity Foundation), to boost her petty fairly used cloth business.

Mrs Ella could not hide her joy when volunteers of Faith Army Ministry International (FAMI) a UK-based foundation, in partnership with Azemobor Gregory Foundation gifted her the sum of #20,000 to boost her petty business
Mrs Ella is a young but struggling single Indigent mother who hails from Benue state but lives in Lagos, Above all Mrs Ella is a graduate.
She consequently lost her job as a result of the covid19 pandemic that affected the global economy
However, with her strength and courage to move ahead, she was able to start up a petty trade that involves buying and selling fairly used ladies inner wears and shoes.
Mrs Ella has no doubt proved to be a strong woman who has not allowed her situations and life experiences to weigh her down.

Accept People the Way they are!

One of the greatest misconceptions in our human interactions and social intercourse is the notion that we can change other people.
Hence we are continually judging people, wishing they were something that they are not.
We want to change them. We want them to think and act a certain way, most often the way we think and act. And because this is not possible, because everyone is different, we are continually frustrated and upset.
Instead of engaging in this futile escapade of configuring people, why not see other people as a mere phenomenon that simply exists.
They come in all varieties, making life rich and interesting. Work with what they give you instead of resisting and trying to change them. Make understanding people a fun game, the solving of puzzles. It is all part of human comedy.
Yes, people are irrational, but so are you!
Make your acceptance of human nature as radical as possible. This will calm you down and help you observe people more dispassionately, understanding them on a deeper level. You will stop projecting your own emotions on them. All of this will give you more balance and calmness, more mental space for thinking.

Fate dealt a cruel blow on Mrs Susan Nwanchukwu when in the year 2000, she in the company of her late husband had a fatal motor accident and sadly the husband died at the scene, while she had a broken leg and serious damage to her head which eventually impaired her sight.
Since then, she has been living on the goodwill of his family and church members. And the Reverend Father of the Catholic parish where she worships is the one who presently pays her house rent and monthly stipends for her upkeep.
Last year she was a beneficiary of Azemobor Gregory Foundation Christmas free food distribution and seeing her condition, our team was moved with deep compassion, and we, therefore, made a promise to fully empower her this year.
So, last week, our team paid her a compassionate visit to commence the empowerment process. she exhilarated seeing us as she narrates her ordeal to the team.
In her words :
" I've been a widow since the year 2000 after I and my husband were involved in a ghastly motor accident when our car collided with a trailer. I lost my husband to that horrible and traumatic event.
I broke my leg during the accident and my head was affected with severe complications that led to the loss of my sight.
I've been blind for 21 years now.
I started an Ice block business after a good Samaritan gifted me a fridge, I had lots of customers coming to buy but the business stopped after my business tool- the Fridge developed a fault.
Several attempts to carry out repairs on the fridge proved abortive as most of the repairers collected my money without carrying out the repairs (They duped me)
I gave up all hope of re-starting my business again....... "
Beloved, on listening to Mrs Susan narrating her ordeal Azemobor Gregory Foundation team were moved to tears..... and we made a promise to buy her a new deep freezer next week, so she could re-start her ice block business again
On that same day, the Azemobor Gregory Foundation team went to an electronic store to make enquiries on the price of a deep freezer as seen in the video,
We found a deep freezer that will be ideal for her ice block business. It costs about #165,000.
We will whole-heartedly appreciate it if you join us to make life comfortable for Mrs Susan Nwanchuku and put a smile on her face and that of her family.

Celebrating Nigeria @60, reaching out to widows and indigent mothers live at Ekpoma, ESAN LAND, EDO STATE

Mrs Odion Okhueleigbe(32yrs), could not hide her excitement as she received the sum of N30, 000 from the Azemobor Gregory Foundation team, to enable her start a petty food business. For the past 5 yrs, she has been saddled with the arduous responsibility of caring for her 5 children and husband who is critically sick and was diagnosed of head cancer. The man is practically in a vegetable state
The husband's ailment has traumatized the entire family as she runs from pillar to post seeking for financial assistance for his medical treatment. As we speak, the children are out of school, and to feed on daily basis is entirely by providence.

With the Financial support she received from the Azemobor Gregory Foundation today, she would start a petty business, that could enable her feed and provide basic necessities for her family.

They are silent killers and unarmed robbers.

If you're in doubt, below are series of charges always placed on innocent customers in a single banking transaction.

1 VAT.
2. Account maintenance charges
3. SMS alert charges
4. Transfer charges
5. Postal STAMP DUTY charges
6. Weekend charges.

Now, the Apex bank, the unarmed robbers' boss introduced a CASHLESS ECONOMY whereby everyone does not need to carry cash for any transaction.

The problem is this: I am Cement Trader. The landing cost of a bag of cement is #2,550 while we sell #2,600. That is a profit of just #50 per bag of cement.

Now on every 2 bags of cement, a customer transfers #5,200 into my account due to CASHLESS policy and my profit is #100.

To my amazement, the bank deducted the following on that transaction!

1. #53 transfer charges.
2. #100 Postal STAMP duty.
3. #6.98 VAT.
4. #76 SMS alerts charges.
5. #93.13 account maintenance charges.

If that was not enough, on every single transaction, both account FROM which money is being transferred and the account TO which money is being transferred were charged for same transaction.

If you're in doubt, find out by requesting for your account statement.

Don't forget the bank had already laid off and reduced number of staff due to self service banking system o because more customers don't have to visit banking hall for transaction again.

So. Amount being paid on salaries and allowances of staff has dropped.
Did the CBN Governor or FED government know what they are doing at all.?

Or it was a deliberate act of exploiting the poor citizens?
So, we are now being tricked, enslaved by Government and the Bank?

This government will still come and collect income tax, trade permit at both state and federal level.

Who do we offend in Nigeria for us to have such extremely bad leaders, worst agencies and bad Nation like this?

No wonder businesses are folding up and liquidated on daily basis!?!

No wonder people now bury cash in cemeteries and farms?
Our Senators and House of Rep members who are supposed to be vanguard of the common people are not but a curse as well.

Who will put an end to all this injustice?

While I run around in the rain and sun for business to survive, the bank management just sit back in air conditioning and relax to feed on our sweat.
Very soon, they will complain of shortage of cash in circulation because people will find alternative savings and security for the cash.

The idea behind project is that if widows and indigent mother have petty viable businesses, they will be in a better position to cater for their families without depending so much on others for survival.

I am happy to announce to you that so far over 400 widows and indigent mothers have received our assistance and many are already doing very well in their businesses

100 YEARS FROM NOW

100 years from now will be the year 2120. By then, every single reader of this piece will be underground, our bodies having become part of the soil. During that time, our fate in respect to paradise or hell would have been made known to us.
Meanwhile above the soil, our houses that were left behind would have become either homes for others or demolished for better structures. Our clothes would have become destroyed or rags for others and replaced by more recent trends; our cars will be on display as historical artifacts by others or recycled for more advanced technology. But for us, we will be, for the most part, never thought about by anyone again. Think of it, how often do you think about your great grandfather? How often does your great grandmother cross your mind?. You see!

Our presence here on earth today, that presence that we make so much noise about and shed so many tears for, was preceded by countless generations before us and shall be followed by countless generations after us Jesus tarries. Every generation that passes through this world barely finds the time to take a glance at the world, before needing to bid it farewell and handing over the baton, having not fulfilled even a fraction of their ambitions. Our lives are, in reality, far shorter than we imagine.

In 2120, every one of us will realise from within the grave just how worthless this world actually was, and how trivial those dreams were that we centred on.

In 2120, every one of us will be wishing that we had dedicated our lives to great matters of GOD, doing His bid, and devoted ourselves to doing good deeds, particularly those that continue to benefit us after our death.

*In 2120, some reading this piece will be screaming out, but in vain:*

*“Lord return me! Give me another chance, so that I may have another opportunity to live for you ..”*

*The response to this request, however, shall be:*

*“No! and behind them is now a barrier until that Great Day."*

In 2120, many will be in regret, saying:

*“I wish that I had prepared for life after my journey on earth.”*

Let us reappraise ourselves, for surely what happened to those we talk of, heard of and read of will surely happen to us. Let us take advantage of today while it is called *TODAY* . Tomorrow is not yours yet until it comes. Accepting the sacrifice of Jesus and keeping our faith in Him, is the *ONLY* way out. COVID-19 deaths -mass murder in progress by few "experts?"

Imagine you felt your body was not at optimum and you went to a hospital or lab for a test. Test result comes back positive for typoid fever even though all you had was persistent headache.

The nurse now tells you to go home and keep taking paracetamol for the headache and that you should call the hospital to see the doctor only when you are gasping for breath. Would you accept such instructions? Would you go home to stay without treatment until your situation expectedly degenerates and you have a life threatening emergency? I don't think so.

This however is what is being done in nations recording high deaths from COVID-19. And this is what some of you who think you are protecting science (why you think you should is comical) are saying.

People who test positive for the coronavirus are sent back home to develop the disease COVID-19!

If you weren't aware, now you know. As usual I have included screenshots which you can also verify by yourselves.

Its like someone testing positive for HIV and then sent home and told to come back to the hospital only when they have full blown AIDS ��‍♂

Treatment and its science.

There is an effective treatment for getting rid of the coronavirus. This treatment is based on several studies around the world. A 2009 study explains how Zinc blocks the replication of coronaviruses, this is the same family of virus responsible for common cold, SARS, MERS and COVID-19. This studies have been applied by doctors on the field with some having 100% success rates!

The science behind use of zinc to kill the COVID-19 coronavirus is this.

1. Zinc is an ion

2. Ions are naturally inhibited by our cells from going into our cell cytosol and will do so very slowly for those that can get through.

3. This is because our cell membranes require anything trying to get across to have a sort of key or password to unlock the membrane to gain access or be similar to the content of the cytosol.

4. To get ions across our cell membranes, the charge of the ion is blocked by a carrier called an "ionophore". [Pic 8]

5. Chloroquine is a zinc ionophore. [Pic 1]

6. Coronavirus is an RNA virus that can pass through cell membranes into the cytosol where it replicates and invades the host cells.

7. This RNA virus protects itself from attacks from our immune system by protecting itself with fatty tissue.

8. This fatty protection is why you are told to wash your hands with soap, soap breaks down the fat (oil) protecting the virus.

9. Alcohol (hand sanitizers inclusive) breaks down same fatty protection of the virus.

10. The immune system will easily take out the coronavirus if the fatty layer protection is removed.

11. Zinc removes this protection and also stops the coronavirus from making new copies of itself. [Pic 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d]

12. The body immune system is then able to quickly kill off the coronavirus.

13. Zinc can only help effectively and quickly if it can get into the cytosol.

14. This is the job chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine does, it helps the zinc get into the cytosol by "hiding" the fact that zinc is an ion from the cell membranes. It makes the membrane more permeable. [Pic 1]

15. The use of antibiotics is to take care of other infections caused by the weakened immune system that was busy trying to fight off the coronavirus in vain.

This is the science behind the use of hydroxychloroquine, arithromycin and zinc sulphate in the EFFECTIVE treatment of COVID-19 or its coronavirus. These are published and unchallenged studies.

Current medical procedure killing tens of thousands.

1. Patient walks into testing center and tests positive for the coronavirus.

2. Patient does not usually see a doctor but called on the phone to give test results.

3. Patient is told to self isolate at home. [Pic 4]
4. Patient is told to take ONLY paracetamol if fever develops.[Pic 4]

5. Patient is told to call back when they have difficulty breathing.

6. Patient is taken to the hospital (now in an ambulance) and then hooked up to a ventilator.

7. Same cocktails of "unapproved" drugs including the ventilator that cannot cure nor treat anything is deployed.

8. Several health workers begin running around to attend to 1 patient.

9. The patient becomes too weak and now at higher risk to be administered hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine.

10. Patient is told to say goodbye to his family on phone.

11. Patient dies and is added to COVID-19 casualty ��‍♂

Some of the doctors are tired of these needless deaths which is being defended by few scientists. These doctors are advocating new procedures.

Advocated medical procedure by some Medical doctors.

1. Patient tests positive to coronavirus.

2. Patient is immediately given hydroxychloroquine in combo with zinc and antibiotics if needed. [Pic 5]

3. Patient does not progress to having COVID-19.

4. Patient is healed within 10days without neccesarily coming into the hospital.

What is saved.

1. No need for multiple medical personnel running around in unnecessary emergency to battle to save patient in respiratory distress.

2. Cost of treatment as low as $20. [Pic 6], alternatives cost way more [Pic 6b].

3. No cost of ambulance (as high as $3000)

4. Hospitals are not overwhelmed.

5. No need for thousands of ventilators.

6. More people can be tested and treated.

7. No lockdown and no violation of civil liberties.

8. Economy continues.

9. We don't see the faces of "experts" asking for evidence they know already exists since 2009.

10. Your loved ones remain alive!

Who loses?

1. Those who are using the world as economic experiment.
2. Those developing needless expensive treatment drugs.
3. Those using the opportunity to force worldwide means of ID.
4. Those who stand to gain politically from the deaths in this crisis.

Solution?

1. Those whose family members died because the self isolation process without treatment was followed should call their lawyers and sue the originator of this murderous plan, this can't be medicine.

2. Those who are told to self isolate right now should demand treatment and get their lawyers involved quickly.

3. Political leadership should prepare to prosecute ALL those decision makers that consistently poopooed treatment as lacking evidence, there is enough evidence of effectiveness from field doctors to get conviction against these actors in court.

4. Doctors must remember their hippocratic oath and start saving lives from day1.

5. Let your loved ones around the world know these things I wrote, they can independently verify, you can too.

The irritating argument the "not approved" group tout is that hydroxychloroquine is dangerous and that it is not proven.

Ask them to show you datasheet for paracetamol which they give people to go be taking and that of hydroxychloroquine.

Paracetamol has "death" along with kidney failure etc. as possible side effects. [Pic 7a, b]. The side effects of paracetamol are as long as that of HCQ

Hydroxychloroquine does not have "death" written as possible side effects. It has side effects that can easily be managed under medical supervision and those side effects are more in old people.

But note that arthritis -which same hydroxychloroquine treats- is predominantly a disease for same old people. If it is not killing them for arthritis, how dangerous can it be to save them or anyone else from coronavirus or COVID-19? ��‍♂

Who approved ventilators as being effective as treatment for COVID-19? Where is the evidence of effectiveness, same "evidence" they demand for hydroxychloroquine, zithromax and zinc treatment?

You don't have to listen to any "expert" when the science and results are already public.

Anyone who wants to argue or debate about the science of this should argue with you pointing to scientific studies and data not pointing to news items or any so called experts. Experts are not scientific evidence, they are people like you.

Those experts are not even the doctors on the field if they are doctors at all ��‍♂

" Why Needless deaths when Covid-19 can be treated with chloroquine "

Why has chloroquine, a drug that has existed for over 50 years, become controversial? President Trump is saying yes, some are saying no and others are in-between…

I don’t know why it became controversial. They disagreed with President Trump because he broke the rule. The rule is that before you use a medication for any condition, you should have tested it scientifically for that condition. But for emergencies, some rules must be broken. But if it has been said by a doctor rather than President Trump, there would have been no problem but because it came from a political leader who was going to the field of medicine, the professionals had to tell him, ‘you have no right to say that’. But the US is a funny place when it comes to medical treatment. There are some drugs used in Europe that you cannot use in the US because every drug must be tested in the US and certified usable and because of the legal implications. Doctors will run away from using a drug that they know is effective even if they believe in it. If it is used and it gets to the court, they will say is it licensed by FDA to use it, if it is not licensed, you are guilty, even if you had saved a patient.
Chloroquine, a commonly known antimalarial drug, is said to be useful in the treatment of coronavirus?

Choloquine is a medicine, of which use we have experience for over 50 years. It is related to quinine, which has been used for the treatment of malaria for years. It was derived from Cinchona bark.
We know all about its side effects and difficulties with its use and the drug has not been banned. What happened was that we reduced its usage because the malaria parasite, Anopheles falciparum, has become resistant to it. We had to look for other drugs to use for the treatment of malaria.
Now, for many years, Nigerian researchers have studied different strains of coronavirus. COVID-19 is caused by a variant of coronavirus that is also present in Nigeria. It is not a totally new virus. COVID-19 is an RNA virus; it is not like polio or HIV that is a DNA virus. So, it is easier to tackle it because it has a lipid cover that can be destroyed with soap, disinfectant or alcohol-based sanitiser. Chloroquine has been proved useful for years and there are tons of studies on the drug both in Nigeria and abroad. Yet, we are still waiting for somebody from outside Nigeria to tell us that it is useful in the control of COVID-19 pandemic.
There is no reason why we cannot start to use it without first carrying out clinical trials. It is an established drug; it is not a drug that has fallen out of favour. It is still being used for the treatment of conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and amoebic abscess. Of course, the dose we are using for COVID-19 is even much lower than that for malaria, so what is the big deal? Moreover, there is an instance a drug developed for disease A is found later to be useful in the treatment of disease B successfully. It is the same case with chloroquine.
So, what are the studies, locally and internationally, backing up the use of chloroquine in the treatment of COVID-19?
In New York, a doctor published that he had treated over 699 patients with COVID 19 with chloroquine about three weeks ago. And he did not lose one single person, did not have to admit any person and none of them went into respiratory failure, so what are we waiting for? They are using it virtually all over in China. The beauty of chloroquine is that it is cheap; about a 1,000 tablets from the factory costs about N12,800. Those 1,000 tablets can treat over 30 people and for prevention, it can be used for far more people.
Coronavirus is a virus that can be passed from one person to another, meaning that if we can have people that the virus cannot pass through using chloroquine, we can break its spread or cycle in the society.
How about its toxicity?
People talk about the toxicity and I say toxicity my foot. In treatment, we ask: do its benefits outweigh its side effects? The rule is: do not make the patient worse. And chloroquine will not, except in those people that have overused it. I have published papers on excessive use of chloroquine. Even doctors have succumbed to the scourge of chloroquine overdose. It was taken it doses higher than necessary. Chloroquine is able to permeate every cell in the body, so if coronavirus is there, it allows the zinc to penetrate its cells to disintegrate it. So, it ends up destroyed. I believe that every health worker looking after patients should use it as prophylaxis. They just need to take two tablets of chloroquine, which is about 500 milligrammes, once in five days to have a reasonable level of chloroquine in their body for protection.
Now, we are told that two index cases, including the Italian who has been treated, are now COVID-19-negative. What was used to treat them, they are still holding as a secret rather than letting doctors know it. This is not the time you keep information, especially about treatment, to your chest, and more importantly, because we are talking about deaths due to COVID-19.
Why should they release information about the treatment?
The deaths from COVID-19 are not going to be our problem. Our problem is going to be deaths not related to COVID 19; deaths from hunger and starvation as well as diseases like diabetes, hypertension and cancer. Due to the diversion of attention from these diseases that are always with us, because all efforts are now focused on COVID 19, there will be a rise in the incidence of deaths from these conditions and that is what makes it more painful to me. We can easily give a subset of people chloroquine so that we can block the transmission but rather, we say we should do social distancing and partial lockdown. Fine, people now stay at home. But have we considered that this cannot work for us? For instance, looking at the speech of President [Muhammadu] Buhari, it said the ports would be opened so that goods could be coming in. Now, some people will have to go and collect those goods, and they have to be distributed. Someone said that there would also be a mobile market selling disposables and perishable items like tomatoes. That is fine, but it also shows a lack of understanding of the situation.
Have you considered the logistics that will be involved and that it is a formidable method to spread the virus? In a country where we cannot store food for long, where we do not manufacture anything but import everything, where we do not have water or electricity, how can we say we will lock people up in their houses?
It is okay for people in middle and high economic class, but for people that live from hand to mouth or that only buy cooked foods to eat, they will go out in their areas. The major streets may be empty but the corners wouldn’t be. That is where it matters the most because they are the most vulnerable people and because they will catch it, they end up spreading it to those that decide to stay indoors. So, there is a limit to which social distancing can help us to break the spread of the virus in Nigeria because of our style of living and the facilities that are available.
Now, I have asked myself some questions and they are pertinent. Influenza virus, a similar virus, is prevalent in Europe and America, especially in cold climate and people periodically have flu shots. That is not the practice here. I have never, as a doctor, been asked by a patient for flu shots, not even by people that have suffered severely from it in Nigeria.
If they are so many, I would have seen some of them. That means that our climate or something in our climate gives some immunity against influenza.
Also, one of the reasons is herd immunity. Between the time when the first contact case was discovered and now, we should have had a big insurgence or outbreak. It is suggestive of herd immunity. We have a number of people who have contracted it but did not react and they blocked the transmission to others.
In fact, those at UCH, Ibadan, as well as Governor Seyi Makinde are good case studies for epidemiologists. From area photography and videos of people who were in contact with them, we can mathematically calculate the number of people who could have come down with it within a time frame. If we don’t have that number, it means that there must be some elements of herd immunity that has prevented it. So, let’s be scientific and let’s use this science to stop COVID-19. Stopping it is important. We cannot afford ventilators, isolation and quarantine centres are not enough, and we cannot afford a standard ICU. Nigeria cannot even afford the tests kits. Even in the United States, they are fighting [President Donald] Trump for not making the kits available. Virtually all the European countries and USA still have to import from China, where the disease started. So, all the kits that are being used, even the face masks, are being imported from China.
But we can afford chloroquine. Two things: if it works, we save money and lives. If it does not work, we have not lost anything because it will not do any damage to anybody.
Are there precautions to take when one takes chloroquine?
In people with G6PD deficiency, a blood disorder, it may cause their red blood cells to break down, and so they may become anaemic. Anyway, by the time you take the first dose and you want to take the second dose, you will know whether you can tolerate it or not. So, it is not a big deal, apart from the itching. But people must not use non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen because they cause more problems for patients with COVID-19. For pains and aches, it is better to just take paracetamol.
Can they take its injection?
The injection could be dangerous if it is used too frequently. So, I will advise that its injection be strictly used by doctors who know what they are doing. In the days that we used to see the toxicity of chloroquine, we saw more cases with injections, especially frequent injections with chloroquine.
Some reports indicate that chloroquine is combined with other drugs like antibiotics for treating COVID-19. Any need to also combine it with other medicines too also in Nigeria?
From the papers that I read, some doctors have used chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine solely and some with zinc supplements. But you do not need zinc supplement if you eat vegetables and fruits like pineapples and mangoes because they contain zinc. But if you are using chloroquine, it is good to also use multivite tablets and Vitamin C. Most multivitamins contain some appreciable amount of zinc. Vitamin C is very good and I recommend that everybody should take about 500 to 1000mgs of Vitamin C per day.
The antibiotics that they have touted only comes on when a patient has started having respiratory symptoms because there will be other bacterial infections. But if the patient is picked early and without any complication, chloroquine will take care of it solely with Vitamin C and multivitamin which contain zinc. And taking plenty of fluid to rehydrate is important as well and maintaining the normal hygienic procedures such as frequent hand and face washing. Because the virus could be in the throat for some time before going into the respiratory system, having warm saline gargle after going out will also be helpful.
How many times does one need to gargle in a day?
About two or three times a day or anytime you go out into the open or have discussions because it has now been found that one can take in aerosols as we are talking. It is also is good to use masks where necessary. And, of course, you have to pray.
