Good evening my Oga'z,

I hope you’re doing well. I’d like to get your advice on a small matter regarding my land. The person watching over it informed me that a few people are interested in using part of the space for selling good indomie and akara, and they’re willing to pay ₦15,000 per year each.

Since I don’t intend to use the land for the next 7-10 years and the area is developing quickly, I’m considering leasing it temporarily. However, I want to make sure it’s done the right way and that my ownership remains fully protected.

Could you please advise on the best approach — whether to lease it out for that amount, and if so, what kind of agreement or documentation would be safest?

Thank you for your guidance

🚨 BREAKING . If Nigeria 🇳🇬 WINS the playoffs at the expense of Gabon, Cameroon, and Congo, they will advance to the inter-confederation World Cup playoffs.

Nigeria will have a seeded status there, meaning they will ONLY NEED to play the FINAL and NOT the semifinal.

If they WIN that final, Nigeria will qualify for the 2026 World Cup. 🏆

You don’t provide for the home. You don’t have a job.
You don’t help with the house chores.
You spend your time drinking and smoking, while she’s out there struggling just to eat — sometimes going hungry so there’s something left for others.

She’s carrying the weight of a home you’ve abandoned.
She’s tired, but still pushing.
She’s hurting, but still hoping.
And you? You’re watching her suffer while doing nothing to ease the burden.

This isn’t love.
This isn’t partnership.
It’s neglect. On top of that you are abusing her.

If you truly care, it’s time to show it — with actions, not excuses.

🌍 Want to Land a Remote Job in Nigeria or Abroad? 🚀

The world of work is changing fast, and remote jobs are now one of the best ways to earn in dollars or naira—without leaving your home. Whether you’re in Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, or anywhere else in Nigeria, opportunities exist both locally and internationally.

✅ Steps to Get Started:

Identify Your Skills – Tech (design, programming, data), Writing, Virtual Assistance, Customer Support, Marketing, and Project Management are in high demand.

Build a Solid Profile – Polish your CV, LinkedIn, and create a strong online portfolio. Your profile is your passport to remote work.

Target the Right Platforms – Apply on trusted sites

Network Smartly – Join remote work communities on LinkedIn, Twitter (X), and WhatsApp/Telegram groups where job links are shared daily.

Upskill Continuously – Remote employers value adaptability. Free/affordable platforms like Coursera, Udemy, and Google Career Certificates can boost your chances.

💡 Pro Tip: Don’t just apply—tailor your CV/cover letter for each role. Many Nigerians lose opportunities simply because their application looks generic.

🌟 Remote work can give you freedom, flexibility, and global income. Start today—your laptop and internet connection are your biggest assets.

The Nigeria House situation is a visible symptom of Nigeria’s wider institutional decay and lack of prioritization of international representation. Urgent intervention is needed — not just for the sake of image, but to ensure Nigeria functions as a respected global player, with dignity and operational integrity.
BusinessRe: My Journey As a Keke Rider Has finally Come To An End... by Wadoh: 9:19am On Aug 05, 2025
Bro, first of all — massive respect. 🙌🏽
It takes a lot of strength, resilience, and faith to walk the path you’ve walked, especially in this kind of economy where even consistency feels like a luxury. You pushed through the hustle, paid off a hire purchase, dealt with the madness of Lagos transport life, and still managed to start a side business. That’s not small at all.

Now that you’ve made the decision to leave the Keke life and focus fully on your business, here are a few pieces of advice:

1. Treat Your Business Like a Real Company
You’ve been self-employed for years already — don’t underestimate that. Now channel the same discipline and structure into your business:

Track your income and expenses

Separate business and personal money

Brand it properly (even if it’s just WhatsApp, Instagram, or a simple flier)

Show up every day like someone is paying you a salary

2. Don’t Burn Bridges
Even if you’re done with transport, stay respectful of where you came from. The agberos, passengers, and fellow drivers may have stressed you out, but they were part of the story. You never know where connections, referrals, or even help might come from later.
3. Grow Steady, Grow Smart
Business growth takes time. Avoid the temptation to rush or compare your journey to others. Focus on:

Quality

Customer trust

Saving and reinvesting profits

If the business is product-based, think about scaling over time (e.g. from selling one item to supplying in bulk). If it’s service-based, think about building a team later.

4. Keep Your Faith + Mental Health Intact
It’s obvious you believe in God — don’t lose that anchor. But also take care of your mental space:

Rest when needed

Avoid toxic people (even clients)

Celebrate small wins

Don’t be afraid to ask for help

5. Stay Visible, Stay Learning
Let people know what you’re doing now. Use social media, old customers, or even Nairaland to announce your services. You’d be shocked how much support is out there when people know your story.

Also — keep learning. Free YouTube videos, online courses, books, mentors… anything that can sharpen your mind and grow your business faster and smarter.

You’ve survived what most people wouldn’t. You’ve paid your dues. Now it’s time to build smart, build big, and build with God.

And lastly — don’t ever downplay your story. That "Keke rider" phase made you who you are. Wear it as your badge of honor. People respect growth more than fake success stories.

You're not just leaving the hustle — you’re graduating from it.

Go harder. We’re rooting for you. 🙌🏽🔥

Sonnobax15:
Good day my fellow Nairalanders......Happy new week and I hope y'all are having a great day? grin.......

Well, lemme start this thread by thanking every Nairalander out there who stood by me and believed in my hustle right from the beginning cheesy. Mehnn, It was indeed full of memories upon memories but I think it won't be a nice idea to finally hang my boots out of the Keke hustle without telling you guys how it has been all these years...

Honestly, there were good days, as well as bad days and there were equally days I wished I didn't start it all, but all thanks to y'all for your words of encouragement cheesy.........

3 years+ it has been since I got my first Keke via a higher purchase.....Glory be to God almighty that I was able to pay back every dime which was attached to it and it actually became mine...... unfortunately, last year, I sold it off due to numerous engine problems angry. And the sad part was when I got into series of troubles after going for another one angry. From police cases to other problems but thank God I was able to scale through all of them at last....

Fast forward to early this year, God did blessed me and I was lucky enough to buy another one, but this time around a second hand keke.......Besides that, I was able to start up a side hustle....

But now, I think I'm indeed fed up with the transportation life angry. Fed up with the lots of fights from agberos......And I'm so fed up engaging with different task force parading themselves as government officials....And also fed up with passengers who find pleasure in hawking their anger issues, looking for who to channel their frustrations in life on angry....infact, I've sold the Keke and I just want to put all my resources and effort into my business......

So , I just want y'all to stop seeing me as the Nairaland resident Keke rider as from henceforth cuz God has uplifted me above that cheesy .......

Mods. Please you guys should help me push this thread of mine to the promised land so that every Nairalander who insulted me in the past should know how their insults and disbelief pushed me into becoming who I'm becoming today angry .....
