2011 best movies i think, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II. It had everything you could want in a movie: great script, fantastic effects, tons of action, a LOT of emotion, romance, a huge crew of capable actors, etc. It was a monumental wrap to a series that had the world enraptured for 10 years. It was definitely "the" film of 2011.

Other great movies were Moneyball, Midnight In Paris, 50/50, Source Code, Drive, Bridesmaids, Rango, The Tree of Life, The Lincoln Lawyer, and Super 8.

Overall though, I don't think this was a great year for films. Not mainstream Hollywood films, anyway. There weren't really any huge "Oscar" type dramas like last year had with The Social Network, True Grit, The King's Speech, 127 Hours, The Kids Are Alright, Black Swan, and A Single Man.
