Natasha, the woman with the golden puunani. Everyone wants a taste of it |
Wike has the biggest aura. He conquered Obio-Akpo, conquered Rivers state, conquered Abuja, all with no weapon or name but a 40year old whiskey and froglike voic... He also conquered the Rivers state house of assembly and turned them into his puppets. Oh, he even pocketed the hope of the common man (Judiciary) |

Bukola94:I don't lie, I say the truth, it doesn't mean I am downgrading Jayjay. I only said Messi is better |
When people talk about the so-called CPC bloc today, they often forget one basic truth: it was never really about the CPC as a political structure — it was about Buhari the person. it was just a vehicle built around a single man’s image: a tough, incorruptible general who many ordinary northerners saw as the last honest leader in a rotten system. For decades, Buhari was more than a politician — he was a symbol of discipline, frugality, and a perceived moral uprightness that resonated deeply in northern Nigeria, especially among rural voters, the urban poor, and sections of the Islamic clerical class. His appeal was emotional, not ideological. No Political Institution, Just Personality. Unlike movements elsewhere that survive beyond their founders — think Mandela’s ANC or Awolowo’s Action Group — Buhari never built institutions that could outlive him. He never groomed strong successors or a clear ideological school. So when people now talk of the “CPC bloc”, they are really talking about an emotional network of Buhari loyalists — ex-generals, civil servants, governors, and millions of ordinary northerners — tied together only by the trust they placed in one man. No One Has Buhari’s Charisma — Not Even Obi, Tinubu, or Atiku Some think Peter Obi could inherit this sort of fervor. But that’s superficial. Obi’s support base is mostly angry, disillusioned youth — a restless coalition driven more by frustration with the old guard than a deep ideological bond to Obi himself. Their loyalty is conditional: it can shift if a new figure speaks better to their pains or proves braver in challenging the status quo. Obi has no deep roots to the Obidients, no decades-long trust network, and no religious or regional identity binding him to Buhari’s old base. Tinubu, meanwhile, is a master strategist and kingmaker, but his appeal is transactional — built on deals, networks, and patronage, not moral myth. He commands loyalty among political elites but not the masses in a cult-like sense. As for Atiku, he’s spent decades hopping from one party to another. Many see him as the definition of opportunism: a wealthy dealmaker without a clear legacy of principle. Whatever residual followership he has is based on regional balancing and big-man politics — never on a moral persona that people would die for. Buhari’s Image Was Unique and Unrepeatable Buhari’s aura came partly from nostalgia — for his 1980s military rule — and partly from mythmaking: the idea that he was not corrupt, not greedy, not part of the elites. No politician today, no matter how clever, can replicate that illusion at scale. This is not just about age or region. Even younger northern leaders like Nasir El-Rufai, who once styled themselves as Buhari’s heir, do not have the grassroots emotional reach to hold the old CPC bloc together. El-Rufai, for example, is seen as too elitist and divisive in some circles. The Bloc Will Scatter — And That’s Natural Now that Buhari is gone, the so-called CPC bloc has no cement holding it together. Some old loyalists will cling to the APC for power and contracts. Others will defect to parties like the ADC or NNPP if they see better deals. But this scatter is natural — there is no ideology or structure to keep them loyal to a dead man’s legacy when daily survival and power are at stake. No ‘New Buhari’ Will Emerge Soon Some might fantasize that another “northern messiah” will appear — but Nigeria is different now. Social media has made blind hero worship harder. Voters, especially the youth, want results, not old myths of moral uprightness that never delivered prosperity. Even a new northern governor or general will struggle to build the kind of aura Buhari enjoyed. Nigeria’s society is too fractured, its media too fast, its young people too skeptical. In conclusion the CPC bloc is a relic of Buhari’s personal cult, not a lasting political dynasty. With him gone, the bloc will inevitably break apart — absorbed by new opportunists, swallowed by bigger coalitions, or scattered by personal ambitions. And no one, not Obi, Tinubu, Atiku, or anyone else, will ever truly inherit that cult-like loyalty. In the end, Buhari’s greatest strength was also his bloc’s greatest weakness: it lived and died with him. |
Rotji:wetin concern genZ for this talk? How old were u when Pele played? Most likely u were not even born. The way you people use the genZ ehn. |
Bukola94:how many times? At most you will see it once or twice. Messi does it almost every week. Okocha humiliates defenders, Messi humiliates the entire defence. You can't compare them, Messi is far better and it's not even close. |
SmartyPants:George best was the only one in time of Pele. Cryuff came at the end of peles reign |
princeade86:When Jayjay holds the ball, he humiliates a defender, when Messi holds the ball, he annihilates the entire defence. Don't even compare them, Messi is far better |
KeyStakeHolder:Oga even if we are to defend Naira, it shouldn't be now, it should be later in the future if we are still defending Naira 2yrs after all the anti people policy, then the policy has no positive impact |
Tinubu gave reforms yet nothing has changed after 2years, and people are hell-bent on voting this disaster back into office. All reforms, are aimed at strengthening the center, puting more money and power at the centre while weakening states and giving them more allocation to survive. It looks like it will be good for Nigerian but it's just for re-election bid |
Bukola94:Okocha makes one or two skills against an opponent. Most times Okocha makes skills in a standing position and dribbles one or two players at best. Messi can dribble past four defenders and score. How many times have u seen Okocha dribble from midfield and enter the opponent yard box? Neymar, Ronaldo, Ronaldhino can perform Okochas skills but none can perform messis skils |
Bukola94:Messi is above Okacha in everything. Goals, passes, free kicks, dribbles, magicals, science etc |
Ok, we shall see. Wike will lose Rivers hold, he won't win north, east or west, he can only get 20% of southern votes at most |
gaussian:The only problem he will have is his strength, but he will get defenders confused |
redcliff:If Messi had played in peles era, he will score crazy goals, defenders weren't organized as they are now. Though his time will be shortened cos of physicality but he will adapt well. Pele was complete but he lacks that clinical maneuvering that Messi has |
Basic:The only person that revolutionalize football was cruyff, George best was only euro focused. Messi deh disregard force of gravity, he does close dribble, magical elite visionary. Pele is like a tank, both foot, strong, great header for his era. Ronaldo has the height, the agility, fearless, ruthless, he was like a player built in a lab. You can't compare Messi to Pele, except for strength which Pele posses, Messi dust him in everything, dribbles, quick turns, great passes etc |
cr7lomo:they were great dribbers with skills. The difference between them and Messi is that Messi dribbles with speed while the ball is still on his legs, he dribbles like he is falling while running with the ball glued to his legs, he can dribble pass 5 defenders by moving in zigzag line and the defenders won't have enough time to react to the dribble cos the ball is always closer to messi's leg. Messi dribbles is the hardest I have seen |
Sharpsharp00123:Buhari did not introduce it, it was Emefiele |
jmoore:No wahala, but if opposition votes are shared and Tinubu later win 2027 election and we later see shege pro2max. I hope Obidients won't start shouting that Tinubu supporters put is in this mess? |
Even now, in private life, I do not have a house help. When guests visit my home, I serve them myself. I live simply, I sweep, I clean, because for me, humility is not a campaign strategy; it is a way of life.Though we know it's a lie but Not having house help is never a sign of humility. When you talk about humility and modesty, you should use Buhari as reference, he doesn't have camera for every act of humility, his house is a bungalow, the interior of his house looks like all those 2003 Nigerian film houses. He never stashed money into a Pandora offshore account. All these camera captured humility will not work on us |
Na so u tell us say You have only two pairs of shoes and one wrist watch which u wore for 17yrs. I wonder those that supports this man, how ona deh feel when you read his lamba-tious epistles. You can never be as Busy as Peter Obi who attends to dignitries, flies almost every 2 months, attend northern burials and still have the time to sweep and clean ur house. |
