Tears are currently flowing in Auchi , Edo State, after a truck driver suffered a brake failure thereby killing scores of people with several others injured.

It was gathered that the tragic incident happened this morning at Upgarage road. Eyewitnesses report, that the truck rammed into stationary cars, shops before somersaulting .

A source said , “ This is a catastrophe . Lives were lost and properties destroyed. At the moment ,we still can’t find the driver of the truck.”

Forty-nine people have been killed and 48 wounded in shootings at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, in the nation's deadliest attack.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern described it as a terrorist attack and one of New Zealand's "darkest days".

A gunman identifying himself as an Australian live-streamed the rampage at Al Noor mosque to Facebook. He had espoused racist, anti-immigrant views.

Police say a man in his late 20s has been arrested and charged with murder.

Two other men and one woman were also detained.

No names have been made public. Firearms and explosive devices were recovered, Police Commissioner Mike Bush said.

The gunman live-streaming the attack from a head-mounted camera said he was a 28-year-old Australian called Brenton Tarrant. The footage showed him firing at men, women and children from close range inside the Al Noor mosque.

Facebook said it had removed the suspect's Facebook and Instagram accounts and was working to remove any copies of the footage. The live-stream of the attack lasted for 17 minutes.

The suspect who was charged appeared to have published a document online outlining his intentions as well as details about the plan for the attack. He is due in court on Saturday.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison described the man as an "extremist, right-wing" terrorist. New Zealand Police Commissioner Bush confirmed that the man had not been known in advance to either New Zealand or Australian security services.

How events unfolded

The first report of an attack came from the Al Noor mosque in central Christchurch at 13:40 on Friday (00:40 GMT).

A gunman drove to the front door, entered and fired indiscriminately for about five minutes.

One unnamed survivor told TV New Zealand that he had seen the gunman shoot a man in the chest. The attacker reportedly targeted the men's prayer room in the mosque, then moved to the women's room.

Drama At Popular Tombstone Maker’s Funeral, As Wife and Sister Fight Dirty.

There was drama at South African popular tombstone maker, Lebogang Khitsane’s memorial service on Sunday morning after his sister shockingly pulled a show stopper revealing that the deceased died a bitter man after his wife bedded several men in their matrimonial home.

The shocking revelations were made not so long before she was abruptly interrupted by the deceased husband’s wife in a live broadcast that was aired on South African television eNCA.

Water bottles came flying as the two women almost came to blows over a microphone.

Events leading to the shameful and regrettable scrimmage, are that on Sunday morning the Khitsane family and friends held a memorial service for the popular tombstone entrepreneur Lebohang Khitsane who passed away last week due to renal failure.

Khistane is well known for his unique tombstone designs that include that of Nelson Mandela, singer/producer Robbie Malinga, actor Joe Mafela, and kwaito juggernaut Mduduzi “Mandoza” Tshabalala, Ontlametse Phalatse, Nkululeko ‘Flabba’ Habedi, Baby Jake Matlala, Scara Ngobese among others.

His memorial service was sponsored by the controversial South African television station eNCA to be broadcast on Sunday afternoon.

It was during the broadcast, as the family came forward to present their eulogies, that the deceased’s bitter sister, Semati Moedi decided not to mince her words in her emotional tribute.

She revealed that her brother died a bitter man as his wife brought in men into their matrimonial bed while he was battling the disease.

Her speech was dramatically interrupted by her sister in law, Khitsane’s widow who sprung into action, throwing water bottles at her in-law as she tried to stop her from proceeding to divulge their secret on a national broadcasting station.

But her actions had little effect on Semati Moedi, who wrestled away the microphone in her hands as she continued to divulge the humiliating information.

The broadcast was cut short after the theatrical events started to unfold, as the two ladies continued to challenge each other outside the church for a fair fight.

The federal government on Sunday reopened the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, for flight operations.
The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, during the official opening ceremony in Enugu, said that domestic flight would start immediately while the international flight would begin on September 5.
Mr Sirika said that the project had cost the federal Government N10 billion.
“It is a great pleasure for me to be in Enugu for this August occasion in the mount of August for the reopening of Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu for flight operations.
“The local flight can come to start from today and the international flight on September 5, once the COVID-19 Presidential Task Force has opened the gate to come in.

SAD! "They waited for police report until he died" - lady mourns pilot of ill-fated helicopter that crashed in Lagos on Friday August 28

The helicopter belonging to Quorom Aviation, crashed into a wall separating two buildings at about 12noon on Friday. There were three crew members in the helicopter that flew into Lagos from Rivers state.

While two of the crew members died at the scene, one of them who happens to be the pilot, Chika Ernest, was rushed to the hospital.

According to his friend, Gloria Ugolee who is a sister to media personality, Emmanuel Ugolee, the pilot died as the hospital waited for a police report. She also revealed that late Chika emptied his fuel tank before crashing into the wall so as to avoid an explosion.
