what kind of stupid talk is that? They're talking about those that will contest next election and you're there vomiting nonsense. No be person go must be President?[/quote]

You don't seem to understand why he said that. I can relate to how he feels and what made him call Nigeria a useless country. For close to 60 years of independence you mean to tell me that these visionless polithievians(with the exception of the Prof.) are the best we can produce.

When you said "Ekiti" can you be specific? Because the place in question is still far from Ado-Ekiti. It is on the way to Akure in Ondo state. So if you are in Ado-Ekiti (the capital) and you said you are in Ekiti, you are far from reporting the truth about the incident.
Ado Ekiti to Ikere is not more than 10munites even from old garage not to talk of if you're in Ajilosun.

i never denied the presence of Olokun in Ife, what am telling you is that Olokun was introduced to your people by prince Ekalarderhan. Olokun is regarded as the favorite son of Osalobua, God, in Benin mythology which had been, long before Oduduwa. BTW answer my question. That OLOKUN FACE LOOK MORE LIKE AN ORA PERSON'S FACE
The other time you asked me to use google to search for the name of the first Ogiso which I did and I gave you the answer to be Igodo and not Oba. Now I believe google is your friend too, so I'll like you to search for Olokun on google and see for yourself if it's an indigenous Yoruba orisha or not. And for your information sir, Olokun is not a man/son by gender she's a female goddess so it's obvious she's not the favorite son of Osalobua as you stated. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olokun. Good night and happy night rest.

Oga Google is your friend use it. Check the first Ogiso name check the Benin word for red. You are a Yoruba person who knows next to nothing about the Edo people while I have lived with both and speak both languages so when I tell you somethings about the language take it
The first ogiso is Igodo, I delibrately showed you those two pictures of Statue Known as the child of Obatala(Oba-tala) and the Egyptian god Bes so you can see the plain similarity between the two and to let you know that even before any Ogiso or whatever the word Oba has been a Yoruba word except you want to tell me the Ogiso dynasty predates the Egyptans,

Oga I speak both language stop asking rhetorical questions when YOU don't know both side of the story. Okun means river/sea in Benin the Ol' or Ole' means master, leader, expert. What does Oduduwa means in Yoruba? Mind you an Ogiso who lived tens of years before Ogiso Owodo was known as Oduwa

Sir below is the head of Olokun excavated from Ife and presently in UK museum

Omo is a Benin word from time. Oba is also a Benin Word. How will they speak yoruba in the palace that's hogwash even a conquered kingdom won't do that because it takes YEARS to learn a language http://www.edofolks.com/html/osahon_ogiso_dynasty.htm

Did I hear you say Oba and Omo are Benin words sir? When did Benin start using the word Oba sir? Even long before the advent of Oduduwa, Yoruba have been using the word Oba for kings/rulers. Sentiments apart, some things should not even be argued about. The whole world know who owns those words. Those words are borrowed words by Benin. I'll like you take a look at these pictures:
The first one is the Statue Known as the child of Obatala(Yoruba orisha/god) while the second one is the Egyptian god Bes

Shikena:

It depends on the version of history that you believe. The Yoruba land of today is not the Yoruba land of 300 or 400 years ago. It is a new civilization. Let the Ooni uphold and promote what Ooni stands for and let the Alaafin do the same with the institution of the Alaafin.
This new development ushered in by Ooni Enitan should be cherished and promoted! Long live the Alaafin and the Ooni.

Honestly if you want to go by history, Ooni has ever been superior than any Alaafin. The so called strive started between this immediate past Ooni and the current Alaafin and I believe the strive was just a personal beef between those two. In the image below, that's Oba Aderemi(Ooni) presenting the current Alaafin of Oyo(Adeyemi) a letter of right to the throne while Alaafin himself bowed down to collect it.

Sir, even though you struggled a lot to answer these simple questions, you still haven't answer them. And by the way, the superiority of Ooni over Alaafin predates the colonial masters era. And again why would a superior king bow down while receiving his certificate of occupancy (Letter of right to the throne) from a supposedly lesser king in that picture.

Some questions for the op, and some other wannabe historian.

Question 1:
Did Oranmiyan (the founder of Oyo) ever reign as an Ooni in Ife after he left a oyo ile, and other smaller settlement to contest for a far more superior throne?
when you answer that question, then I would know what response to give you.

Question 2:
Loading.....
In 1903, long before the birth of Lt.col General Adeyinka Adebayo or before the formation of Nigeria, why did the other obas reject the Alaafin as judge, but advised the Colonial Governor of a greater king resident in the Yoruba hinterland, to help settle the dispute involving Elepe of Epe and the Akarigbo of Ijebu-Remo?
The Alaafin was side-lined, and the Ooni was invited by the new power, the colonial Governor to the Central Native Authority in Lagos to advise on the dispute between Akarigbo of Ijebu-Remo and Elepe of Epe in Remo over Elepe’s right to wear a beaded crown.

Question 3:
If Alaafin was the youngest of the grandsons of Oduduwa, what makes him superior to the likes of his elder brothers you listed above in your write up i.e Oranmiyan, Olowu, Alaketu, Onisabe, Orangun, Olupopo, Oba Benin?

Question 4:
How can the Alaafin apoint an Ooni, when Oduduwa himself was an Ooni?

Question 5:
Why is the Alaafin bowing, and also collecting his certificate of ''occupancy'' from a lesser king in the picture below.
Note: Oba Lamidi Adeyemi became an Oba in 1970.
Oba Aderemi was governor between 1960 and 1962.

I am glad the new Ooni does not have time for any supremacy battle, and has displayed an high level of maturity.

GBAM!!! Case closed, God bless you jare. I wonder where people get their history lessons from.

Yoruba language is the most widely spoken African language outside Africa.

Yoruba is classified within the Edekiri languages, which together with Itsekiri and the isolate Igala form the Yoruboid group of languages within the Volta-Niger branch of the Niger-Congo family. The linguistic unity of the Niger-Congo family dates to deep prehistory, estimates ranging around 15 kya (the end of the Upper Paleolithic).[6] In present day Nigeria, it is estimated that there are over 40 million Yoruba primary and secondary language speakers and several other millions of speakers outside Nigeria making it the most widely spoken African language outside Africa.

Health / Stictly For Women With Fibroids by waleola09: 12:42pm On Oct 16, 2015
What are fibroids?

Fibroids are the most frequently seen tumors of the female reproductive system. Fibroids, also known as uterine myomas, leiomyomas, or fibromas, are firm, compact tumors that are made of smooth muscle cells and fibrous connective tissue that develop in the uterus. It is estimated that between 20 to 50 percent of women of reproductive age have fibroids, although not all are diagnosed. Some estimates state that up to 30 to 77 percent of women will develop fibroids sometime during their childbearing years, although only about one-third of these fibroids are large enough to be detected by a health care provider during a physical examination.

What causes fibroid tumors?

While it is not clearly known what causes fibroids, it is believed that each tumor develops from an aberrant muscle cell in the uterus, which multiplies rapidly because of the influence of estrogen.

Who is at risk for fibroid tumors?

Women who are approaching menopause are at the greatest risk for fibroids because of their long exposure to high levels of estrogen. Women who are obese and of African-American heritage also seem to be at an increased risk, although the reasons for this are not clearly understood.

What are the symptoms of fibroids?

Some women who have fibroids have no symptoms, or have only mild symptoms, while other women have more severe, disruptive symptoms. The following are the most common symptoms for uterine fibroids, however, each individual may experience symptoms differently. Symptoms of uterine fibroids may include:

*Heavy or prolonged menstrual periods
*Abnormal bleeding between menstrual periods
*Pelvic pain (caused as the tumor presses on pelvic organs)
*Frequent urination
*Low back pain
*Pain during intercourse
*A firm mass, often located near the middle of the pelvis, which can be felt by the physician

In some cases, the heavy or prolonged menstrual periods, or the abnormal bleeding between periods, can lead to iron-deficiency anemia, which also requires treatment.

How are fibroids diagnosed?

Fibroids are most often found during a routine pelvic examination. This, along with an abdominal examination, may indicate a firm, irregular pelvic mass to the physician. In addition to a complete medical history and physical and pelvic and/or abdominal examination, diagnostic procedures for uterine fibroids may include:

*X-ray: Electromagnetic energy used to produce images of bones and internal organs onto film.
*Transvaginal ultrasound (also called ultrasonography): An ultrasound test using a small instrument, called a transducer, that is placed in the
vagina.
*Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI): A non-invasive procedure that produces a two-dimensional view of an internal organ or structure.
*Hysterosalpingography: X-ray examination of the uterus and fallopian tubes that uses dye and is often performed to rule out tubal
obstruction.
*Hysteroscopy: Visual examination of the canal of the cervix and the interior of the uterus using a viewing instrument (hysteroscope)
inserted through the vagina.
*Endometrial biopsy: A procedure in which a sample of tissue is obtained through a tube which is inserted into the uterus.
*Blood test (to check for iron-deficiency anemia if heavy bleeding is caused by the tumor).

Treatment for fibroids

Treatment for fibroids may include:

Hysterectomy: Hysterectomies involve the surgical removal of the entire uterus(womb).

Conservative surgical therapy: Conservative surgical therapy uses a procedure called a myomectomy. With this approach, physicians will remove the fibroids, but leave the uterus intact to enable a future pregnancy. This has a minimal chances of complications.

Uterine artery embolization: Also called uterine fibroid embolization, uterine artery embolization (UAE) is a newer minimally-invasive (without a large abdominal incision) technique. The arteries supplying blood to the fibroids are identified, then embolized (blocked off). The embolization cuts off the blood supply to the fibroids, thus shrinking them. Health care providers continue to evaluate the long-term implications of this procedure on fertility and regrowth of the fibroid tissue.

Anti-inflammatory painkillers: This type of drug is often effective for women who experience occasional pelvic pain or discomfort. This has a significant side effect.

NOTE: What if i told you there is an alternative and safe treatment for Fibroid that does not involve any risk? What if i told you you don't have to go for any surgical operation which can expose your uterus(womb) to chances of being damaged? What if i told you you can now shrink and completely remove you uterine Fibroids using Natural Ingredients?

Yeah you can shrink and remove your Fibroids with a Pack of Natural Supplements called FIBROFIT
