You can also apply your parking brakes gradually

Then if there's a concrete road divider, there's a reason they are not made flat and straight, its designed to hit the wheels if the impact is light, so if there is time gradually use ur wheels to slow you down by driving nearly parallel to the divider but at an angle the makes contact with it, will scratch ur wheels but not the body of the car, and car will stop quick.

For a 6 year old car I doubt this mileage I gues it's a 2007 pimped to look like a 2009, post the vin I'll run it and give you specifics.

If a new owner can't understand the concept of mileage, vin, EPA mileage, How do the grasp the concept of maintenance schedule?

Please sometimes wiki and google will help explain these things better then we can see how it applies to the "Nigerian environment" that defies all the others in the world.
