Funny country. One wrong move and you end up dead. I imagine if the happenings in that nation occurs any where else, the reactions would be much worse.

Black Lives Matter and its founders, Patrisse Cullors & Alicia Garza, are reportedly under federal investigation for the alleged misuse of $90 million in donations.

The U.S. Department of Justice has launched an investigation into allegations that leaders of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement misused tens of millions of dollars in donations raised during the 2020 George Floyd protests.

According to the Associated Press, federal prosecutors have issued subpoenas & executed at least one search warrant in connection with the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, Inc. & several affiliated groups that helped organize nationwide demonstrations against racial injustice & police brutality.

The probe is reportedly being handled by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, led by Bill Essayli, a former Republican assemblyman known for his past criticism of BLM.

Sources indicated that while the investigation began under the Biden administration, it has accelerated since President Trump took office.

The Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation stated that it is not the target of any federal criminal inquiry and emphasized its commitment to transparency and accountability in managing donations.

The organization collected over $90 million in 2020 but has faced ongoing scrutiny over how the funds were used. In 2022, reports revealed that BLM leaders purchased a $6 million property in Los Angeles with donor money, sparking public backlash. Co-founder Patrisse Kahn-Cullors resigned shortly after the revelations amid criticism of her real estate purchases.

Despite the controversy, BLM leaders have consistently denied wrongdoing. Their most recent tax filings show $28 million in assets as of June 2024.

Earlier in 2022, Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita sued the organization for failing to comply with a state investigation into its finances, though the case was later dismissed after BLM provided the requested documents. So far, no criminal charges have been filed against the group or its leaders.

There’s nothing wrong with your friend but poor planning and execution of plans.

Your friend has always being in a hurry, and over ambitious. He didn’t let time and patience mould him into a capable man which is why he jumps into any seemingly promising opportunity without first building from bottom up.

If he had stocked to one thing, patiently but diligently done that for 5 years, he would have past this stage.
If he had perhaps learnt a trade or skill, if he had sort help with customising his CV for each job search and not randomly using same CV for every application, he might have landed a job. If he had asked friends like you for referral to a vacancy, perhaps someone would have given him a job. He could have even volunteered to work for free in any job he needed experience on to better his employment prospects.

Obviously he ventured into things he had little or no experience and guidance on, burning his fingers and loosing both time and money.

Even so, all hope is not lost if he has character and not ashamed to start anew but now with experience. He should keep a low head, stay humble, stay honest, never maltreat his wife, don’t venture into illegalities, go slow but steady and between 12-24 months he can be on the path of recovery.

It might not be a miracle but with prayer and working towards his prayers, he will overcome.

The bolded is the answer to his problems. He has tried too many things without letting time give him the best from life. Choose a path, remain on that path for life and have faith that the Lord will change his story. There's no other way. Remember, the only way out is through.

This is not right. Emigration is not a zero sum game. Somebody does not have to come back before another gets the chance to go. People are allowed to share their experience without people like you turning it into whatever it is you are trying to do.

The same bible mentions the poor enough times. Even Jesus acknowledged the fact that there will always be poor people. How can that be if there will be no "hunger" in the land?

Those handling the resources should see to it that everyone from a certain age and above gets equal share in all the resources gotten on planet earth.
For instance in Nigeria the president and the gateman of the public school should be paid the same salary and both should get all the benefits as bonafide citizens of Nigeria since they are all expected to pledge to...... to be faithful loyal and honest, to serve... with all their strength.
