a lot of things could be responsible, what's the breed, age and sex of your dog... could be an infection or kidney disease

Make.. He is a gsd rott mix... He's 5 months.... I massaged with hot water and it seems it has reduced a little

I just got home this evening and I saw that my dog's left fore leg is swollen.... It's soft and when I press it.. It shows signs of pain... Please help.. What can I do?
