I was D.E.N.I.E.D,by that wman who asks if u av travld b4,she askd me all d questions u cld ever think of asking a student like:what skool
Let me see ur sat rsult
How many skools did u aply to(7)
(Nd her nmal question)av u travld out b4(no bcuz i av had no reasonable reason to travel out apart frm dis 1 nd its cuz its extremely important)
And so much more i cnt rmemba.nd trust me i answered her vry vry well cuz i reahasd all dis questions vry well,nd i was confident.

Wen i get to d embassy nd it is my turn to get interviewd,nd d v.o tlls me to pass my docs,am i expectd to giv all my docs to him/her?or the vo will specify he or herselves.cuz evry1 sharin their experience always says d first thing they ask is ''can i see ur documents''.

tommorow is the d-day,am just a lil bit hopfull cuz all the documents am taking to the embassy are original and truthfull,nd secondly is because i am really going to the u.s to study and not to do otherwise,and thirdly is because i knw ALLAH is in control of all whatever am doin,so it is left to the embassy themselves to issue or not,but i hav fate in God that all will be well.@every1 just make sure u pray for all we nairaland members going for our interview 2maow.

Pple am thinkin of takin mums house documents,nd d one of my dad too making it 2 houses(documents).do u think it matters?som1 tld me dat i shldnt bother cuz they wldnt even ask at d embassy,bt i feel it would serve as a good tie to my hme country,wat do u think?

lilchukky wat u said is tru ooo,but wen i went dere on monday i stayed wit d okada man tru out the immigration check in,but thank God i went dere today again and this time i paid successfully

omo men dat seme boarder whala is crazy,i got to the boarder at 9.30 am,i crossd so many gates stressfully,and had to bribe so many pple and finally i got to the eco bank,and wen a askd the western union man how to pay he told me dat i had to change it to ceffa(benin currency)wen i went outside to change it,you wouldnt believe wat happend, my money was remaining only 3000 naira to get it complete ,and i swore for those pple that cclctd bribe from me and the okada man who carried me cuz i knew he cheatd me ,and i had to go bak home(wild goose chase) to another country for that matter(benin republique to nigeria) .and oooohhhh less i 4get i met 1 nairaland member dere,a gal,she went to pay hers too

everyone the statement am taking to the embassy is a fixed deposit staty of about 5.7 million,and i am 19 yrs going for undergraduate studies,and i wrote only s.a.t test which i passed vry well,pls people wat are my chances of gettin a visa at the lagos embassy

You should know that I am not seeking any monetary reward in return for helping you. I only decided to chip in a few suggestions due to the fact that I seem to know you and I have also gone through the process, especially as a Political Science major, which is your intended major. I believe the main reason you are here is because you aren't 'all-knowing' and I don't see any reason why you should base your inquisition on the suggestions of a few people. They are right in advising you to go through the thread for more knowledge but they are also wrong in discouraging you from accepting help from someone who is willing to assist and ultimately limiting your scope. No offense meant to parties concerned. Anyway, I hope you come and share your good news with us after your interview . And congrats to the successful applicant .

Asian woman or not, you don't have to be unnecessarily jittery and tensed. You sound like your wife is going to have a baby, lol. Anyway, You should get your documents ready and intact. Be confident; this is because your disposition matters and places you in a position to answer questions perspicuously. Try as much as possible not to lie. Those interviewing you are smart and well trained. If you lie, you might end up contradicting yourself. The following questions are possible:

What is your purpose of travelling to the US?

Name of your school?

Location of your school?

How many students are enrolled in your school?

How did you find out about the school?

Why did you choose the school?

Did you apply to any other school?

What is your intended field of study?

Why do you want to study such course?

Who's sponsoring you?

What does your sponsor do for a living?

Who are you going to live with in the US?

Do you have any family members in the US?

What courses are you going to take as a Computer Science major?

Note: They might ask you questions regarding the course,  so be prepared.

Why do you want to study in the US? Now this is one question you should answer intelligently. It usually is the last question they ask. Try answering with much conviction and say things that show you are coming back to Nigeria after your study. I hope this helps.

So, me and many others that have applied for the visa lottery should not apply for student visa. That sounds like another mind disturber from your side.
