imperiouxx: ID card is very possible and of what good is those bold statement? The id card can be cancelled anytime he absconded from the school while his bank account can be very thin when no money enters it. Hope that's not what you are thinking too? Moreover, bank account requires your passport as non-citizen, I wonder how he did his.

bruv make I giv u d loadown of my story,and it goes like this.I went to the embassy 1st time on august 4th 2011 with a gal I met on here ,her name is chidalu(who can rememba her)?,we were both denied on dat day,so tlkd abt paying anoda visa fee almost immediately,so the second day she called ma fone and told me dat she jst payed her visa fee and dat she had gotten a date 4 the 23 of the same month,and dat If I had money I shld go and pay anoda fee 2, cuz 24th of august and 23rd where both available,so immediately I got money from ma mum and I went to pay the fee again(the second day after my initial denial)and unluckily 4 me I didn't get the same 23rd as hers,but I got 24th.23rd came and she called me around 12:30 and told me she was granted her student permit,and she prayed 4 me dat I was gonna get mine 2,but when my day(which is d second day 24th)came,I was denied again*sad* .I knew I had 2 defer dis time cuz my resumption date was fast aproaching.I wrote my skool and dey did defer the addmission.spring session came and I got my package from the skool very late in december(still last year)and I cldnt do notin cuz dat was wen nigeria had the nation wide strike,and d skools resumption date fell between the strike period,again I had 2 write d skool 2 give me a lil bit of extension,but they declined me A-SAP.Again I had 2 defer went straight 2 my keyboard again and wrote the skool 2 defer my addmission 4 the "THIRD" time,it was granted again,so I deferd 2 this year fall session.I got the package 4 the 3rd time around may-june(not sure though)then I payed my visa fee 4 the 3rd time and my sevis fee 4 the second time "AGAIN",and I got a date 4 d 6the or 7th of august(not sure)and I clickd on dat box where ur date can be shifted forward,4 days later I got a mail dat my date had been shifted 2 the 19th of july(coolies).3days b4 my interview(july the 16th) I followed ma dad 2 d same lagos embassy and he was granted,dat made me gain so much momentum,it was the D-day got 2 d embassy,had my interview,and most importantly,I GOT MY STUDY PERMIT.That's all about it ,I think.so yomi dats all I think you need.Thanks

I was not praying for the VO because he was spending a lot of time with applicants and he rejected a lot of applicants.
VO: the sighed me as I was walking across to him. Good morning, pass me your documents pls.
ME: good morning sir, here they are
VO: ok can you bring up your case...
ME: I was like na which one be bring up your case again. I asked him to repeat himself and he said it again. So I got it that he want me to tell him what I am here for. Na so I start by saying, I am going to study Masters in Public Administration at ..... University, then defined Public Administration as a disciplined which broadly deals with good governance, human relations and the society at large and also focuses on the implementation of government policies, programmes and activities for the betterment of the citizens. I choose to study masters in PA because I have a keen interest in good governance in Nigeria.
V0: ok, why this school?
ME: because the university offers excellence career preparation in public administration which a real world learning experience.
VO: Have u travel out of Nigeria before?
ME: no, there has not been a need to.
VO: ok, are u married?
ME: No.
VO: where do u work?
ME: I told him.
VO: who is paying for your fees.
ME: my dad.
VO: what does not dad do?
ME: he is a building contractor and a estate developer.
VO: did you write the GRE?
ME: No, the university does not require it for admission into this programme.
VO: I'm sorry I can not issue you the visa at this time....bla bla

Lesson: I know surely that I was refused on the grounds of GRE. Its painful tho, because the V0 was just looking at me and typing seriously and me maintained eye contacts all through.
Advice: please everyone going as a graduate student should endeavour to write either the GRE or GMAT, even if your school does not require it for admission purpose, like mine did not and plus that I had a $2000 partial scholarship, so I was thinking the GRE won't be an issue since its not part of the admission requirements.

At this point, I want to congratulate everyone who got their visas and those yet to go for their interview, I beg make una no dey entertain unnecessary fear, that interview is not as difficult as it has been projected. Its basically a conversation between 2 people ( you and the VO). Be yourself.
I sincerely appreciate king1_00, Freeman_lxy, leadzeal, djunit, walex57, samuel4U and everyone on this thread.
Its not over yet, until I get my visa lol

But make sure u notify ur schl in ok as soon as u enter for ur transfer to be granted quickly, cos they might not grant u d transfer request if u late do am.

Hello guys,I have to let you know something now,because as far as we have come I don't have to keep hiding things from you cuz a am still gonna need yalls help 1 day or the other.ok this is how it goes.I have gotten my tted to oklahoma panhandle state university,but the fact is that I will not be going to opsu,my brother in new york has told me that when I get there I will be transffering to a college that is cheap and close to his house,that he is gonna lend me the money to pay for the 1st yearion now is that,will I be delayed at the POE that why am I coming to new york when my skool is in oklahoma,cuz the ticket I wanna buy will be from lagos to new york,please pple hope I wouldn't have problems at the POE in new york because am kinda scared.thanks.quick answers needed pleaseee

Also, does the fact that one had applied for the US visa lottery before and later went for the student visa interview mar one's chances of getting the visa? In other words will the visa lottery record reflect on their system once your name is keyed in during the student visa interview process?

it doesn't matter if u av done d visa lottery mur dan 30times,although they will know oo,but it matters less.and 2go to the embassy dat is close to your ouse.
