Kim Kardashian reportedly lost over 150,000 followers after sharing an inauguration day photo of First Lady Melania Trump on her Instagram story.

Kardashian, a reality television star with about 358 million Instagram followers, raised eyebrows online after posting a photo of the first lady wearing a wide-brimmed hat at Monday's inauguration.

Socially Powerful, an influencer marketing business, analysed data and discovered that Kardashian's follower count had dropped by 144,963 after the photo was released.


Kardashian has also lost 9,553 followers on X, the network previously known as Twitter, since sharing the photograph, according to Socially Powerful.


Some of Kardashian's Instagram followers responded badly to the photo, including one who wrote: "Girl…. sold out for far-right maga propaganda."

"Well, at least we can see exactly who you are," another wrote.

"Unfollow, don't watch their show and don't purchase their items. "Hit them where it hurts," another social media commenter said.
