Crime › 3 People Dead And 7 Others Wounded In New Boko Haram Attack Makurdi by Webvibez(op): 9:14pm On Feb 05, 2018 |
At least three persons were killed and seven others injured when Boko Haram terrorists burnt down a community on the outskirts of Maiduguri Borno state last night, local vigilantes said.
A dozen terrorists stormed Koffa, some of 5 kilometers from Maiduguri at about 2000hrs started shooting and later razing down 57 homes.
According to a vigilante source, the operations lasted for an hour before Nigerian troops started arriving the village. "They came around 8 pm last night, on their arrival they opened fire on us, we ran into the bushes, unfortunately, three elderly persons were burnt to death and seven persons sustained gunshots wounds."
Another survivor Saminu Abba said they went away with foodstuffs and livestock before they set their homes ablaze. "Just yesterday, we heard on the radio that Boko Haram has been defeated, just less than 2 hours later they killed our people, burnt down 57 homes and many were injured. It is saddening." Abba said.
It would be recalled that 3 days ago Theater Commander Operation Lafiya Dole, Maj. Gen. Rogers Nicolas announced that Boko Haram terrorists have been completely defeated in the northeast.

The lovely message posted on the Press and Utility Facebook page of the church, reads:
"Death came to seize her in 2004 but Jesus stepped in to destroy the devil" - Bishop Oyedepo celebrates wife at 60 "My wife is here today celebrating her 60th birthday. Death came to seize her in 2004. But Jesus stepped in to destroy the devil…In the midst of that attack, I was in 27 nations, blasting the head of the devil, with a wife dying! Seek ye first the interest of My kingdom and leave the rest to Me... She's on her feet today... --- I said to Jesus, ‘that you heal her is not what makes you my God. Whether you heal her or not, you are my God.’ I'm sure He must have said, ‘My son, make you no vex, I will heal her now’."

Her story.. Sometime ago, i posted a story about kissing someone i just started dating and when i got home, i had sores all over my gum. I didn’t think it was something serious, since the first sore went away after 2 days. People auggested i had herpes, so i had to run to the hospital the next day..Doctor ran a check on me and thankfully, it wasn’t herpes but oral thrush. i visited le boo (now EX) with the intention of discussing what i noticed with him, and to know what he actually eats that causes me to have those sores. On my way to his house, i perceived a very awful smell at just outside the gate, i felt it’s normal refuge smell, so i didn’t take it to mean anything. Few minutes after i visited, his friend also came visiting, and we were all just in the parlor gisting, before NEPA took the light.. Le boo went to turn on the gen and his friend went with him, i also decided to go to the kitchen to find something to drink, that was when i heard their discussion. My people, it turned out Le boo was telling his friend that the last excreta (shit) they brought was smelling very terribly, he said he just managed to use little amount to eat bread and then threw the remaining in the neighbors trash, his friend was laughing and then told him to just tell the guys that bring it not to bring the one that smells too much.
I fainted and woke up, i couldn’t believe my ears, what?? He was into yahoo plus?? I don’t understand, i know where he works and besides, i wasn’t even dating him for money, i was devastated. It didn’t make sense, why would he involve in such??
Anyway, i quickly ran back to the parlor, sat down and pretended not to hear anything. As soon as he came out, i just told him i needed to go, he was surprised because i only just got there, but i gave one excuse and he let me go, with promise i was to see him the next day. He saw me off to the car and i drove off, that’s the last time i’d ever see him again, thank God her doesn’t know my house. God forbid bad thing. But you see ehh.. Before i date anybody again; he has to do HIV test, mouth swab, mental check and spiritual check. I’m done with relationships for now.

Politics › APC Crisis: Kwankwaso Cancels Visit To Kano, Presidency Intervenes by Webvibez(op): 3:00am On Jan 30, 2018 |

A former governor of Kano State, Sen. Rabi’u Kwankwaso, on Monday cancelled his controversial plan to visit Kano on Tuesday (today). The controversy started when the state Police Commissioner, Rabiu Yusuf, on January 27 advised Kwankwaso to shelve the visit, saying that a security report had indicated that the visit might lead to political unrest. Kwankwaso, who responded through his spokesperson, Binta Sipikin, vowed to go ahead with the visit in spite of the police advice. Sipikin had said, “We are coming to visit friends, families and other relatives that for a long time we have not seen. We have coordinated this visit with seven camera drones and other apparatus that would make it a hitch-free homecoming.’’ But Kwankwaso cancelled the visit at an emergency press conference at the Lugard House, Kano, addressed on his behalf by a former Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Rabiu Suleiman Bichi. Bichi said Kwankwaso cancelled the visit to give the incumbent Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, time and space to form and consolidate his administration, without any interference. He said, ‘’It is almost three years now since the Senator handed over and he’s under intense pressure from parents, brothers, sisters, alongside other well-wishers and, of course, his constituents to visit home.’’
Bichi explained that when the state government fixed a date for the local government elections, Kwankwaso decided to visit Kano on Tuesday (today), alleging that on learning about Kwankwaso’s plan, the state government became desperate to frustrate the visit. He stressed that the stand-off made prominent Nigerians to prevail on Kwankawso to shelve the visit.
Meanwhile, the Presidency had earlier on Monday summoned Ganduje and Kwankwaso towards dousing the tension in the state. The governor, accompanied by two serving senators and two members of the House of Representatives from the state, met with the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari, at the Presidential Villa.
Ganduje, however, declined to speak to State House correspondents after the closed door meeting. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Kwankwaso was also invited to meet with Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo at the presidential villa on Monday over the matter.

Oja Oba/Mapo Court C Customary Court, Mapo, Ibadan, Oyo State has dissolved the 17-year-old marriage of Adewole Bankole and Grace Bankole over alleged act of stubbornness, disregard and disobedience regularly displayed by the defendant.
Adewole had dragged his wife to court pleading that it separated him and his wife who according to him was stubborn, disobedient and always rubbing shoulders with him in the home. He added that she was always fighting him. The defendant refused to show up in court after being served a court hearing twice.
Giving his judgment after he had listened to the plaintiff, the court president, Chief Ademola Odunade observed that his love for his wife had waned.
According to him, the refusal of the defendant to show up in court indicated she was no more interested in their union. Ruling, Odunade dissolved their union and granted custody of their three children to the plaintiff. He ordered a copy of the judgment to be served the defendant. Adewole stated thus while giving his judgment: ”My lord, I pray the court to deliver me from the bondage I led myself into called marriage. I’ve known no peace or rest of mind since I entered into it 17 years ago.
“I’m married to a woman who is as stubborn as a goat. She insists on having her way always. “My wife has no regard for me and disrespects me every time. She readily flouts my orders. I noticed she was moving with politicians at the grassroots level and warned her against joining politics but she disobeyed me and went into it fully.
“Any time I try to show my displeasure over an issue, she turns it into a fight. She will shout and humiliate me before our children and neighbours. “My lord, my wife curses me any time we are having sex and this reduces my libido. I’m fed up with her, please separate us.”

Politics › I Saw Yahaya Bello's Prison Uniform Specially Decorated With Embroidery' - Dino by Webvibez(op): 3:11am On Jan 27, 2018 |
Senator Dino Melaye just shared a video on his official Instagram page mocking his long time enemy and Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello. For as long as we can remember, both men have been at each other's throat and according to Dino Melaye in the new video, 'Bello threatned that many members of the National Assembly will not return in 2019 and I begin to ask myself why will any intellectually mobile character. sound and sane, speak like that'.
He continued to say that, 'and if anyone wants to talk like that, it's not a man that has commited electoral fraud, who is awaiting trial and obviously will soon go to prison. And I had a dream recently where I saw Yahya Bello's prison uniform specially decorated with embroidery, so I'll be shocked that Yahya is already threatning people not to come back because, he's not a voter in Kogi State, secondly, he cannot contest elections in Kogi State come 2019'.

Their cattle were said to have been destroyed in the attack which allegedly happened on Tuesday, 23/1/2018, at around 3.00 PM, in Kamarun Chawai Bassa local government area of Plateau State.
They were said to have been attacked by the notorious Irigwe Militia group, who are said to be operating with impunity in Plateau State. Read what Idris Ahmed shared online.
THE ORGY OF SENSELESS VIOLENCE AGAINST THE FULANIS CONTINUES UNABATED!
It is now fast becoming a tragedy of biblical proportions. There seems to be a carefully planned agenda to exterminate the Fulani Herdsmen, with their pastoral way of life, in Nigeria, for political, religious and tribal expediency. While the hypocritical media houses like the Channels TV, TVC, AIT, Vanguard, the Sun and other bigoted media outfits are fanning the ambers of wicked propaganda and hate against the Fulanis, some treacherous stake holders in Adamawa, Taraba, Benue and Plateau states, are actually busy executing a genocidal agenda against the Fulanis, with impunity! Fulani Herdsmen, Anas Zakariya and Musa Idris were ambushed and executed in cold blood. Their cattle were destroyed. This incidence happened on 23/1/2018, at around 3.00 PM, in Kamarun Chawai Bassa local government area of Plateau State. This barbaric criminal act was committed by the notorious Irigwe Militia group, who are said to be operating with impunity in Plateau State. No media house reported this senseless destruction of human lives and property. Because a Fulani Herdsman’s life no longer matters, the state government won’t do anything about it and the hypocritical media won’t report these kinds of incidences either, until the Fulanis mobilise resources to take revenge! Enough is enough of senseless killings of innocent people with impunity! For the avoidance of doubt, we at CUPS are not taking sides. We are just being the voice of the voiceless! May God save Nigeria and Nigerians. Amen. Dr. Idris Ahmed. CUPS. 25/1/2018.

Politics › [A Must Read] 17 Powerful Quotes From Obasanjo’s Letter Criticising Buhari by Webvibez(op): 2:02am On Jan 26, 2018 |
https://www.nigerianmonitor.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Buhari-and-Obasanjo-1-600x423.png
Here are 17 quotes from the statement issued by former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Tuesday criticising the performance of President Muhammadu Buhar1.
1. State Of The Nation “The lice of poor performance in government – poverty, insecurity, poor economic management, nepotism, gross dereliction of duty, condonation of misdeed. If not outright encouragement of it, lack of progress and hope for the future, lack of national cohesion and poor management of internal political dynamics and widening inequality – are very much with us today.” “The situation that made Nigerians to vote massively to get my brother Jonathan off the horse is playing itself out again.”
2. Nigeria’s Role In Africa “For Africa to move forward, Nigeria must be one of the anchor countries, if not the leading anchor country. It means that Nigeria must be good at home to be good outside. No doubt, our situation in the last decade or so had shown that we are not good enough at home; hence we are invariably absent at the table that we should be abroad.”
3. Likely Consequence Of His Statement “I know that praise-singers and hired attackers may be raised up against me for verbal or even physical attack but if I can withstand undeserved imprisonment and was ready to shed my blood by standing for Nigeria, I will consider no sacrifice too great to make for the good of Nigeria at any time.”
4. Buhari’s Weakness “I knew President Buhari before he became President and said that he is weak in the knowledge and understanding of the economy but I thought that he could make use of good Nigerians in that area that could help.” “I know his weakness in understanding and playing in the foreign affairs sector and again, there are many Nigerians that could be used in that area as well.”
5. Corruption Allegations Against Members Of Presidency “There were serious allegations of round-tripping against some inner caucus of the Presidency which would seem to have been condoned. I wonder if such actions do not amount to corruption and financial crime, then what is it? Culture of condonation and turning blind eye will cover up rather than clean up.”
6. Anti-Corruption Fight “I thought President Buhari would fight corruption and insurgency and he must be given some credit for his achievement so far in these two areas although it is not yet uhuru!”
7. Herdsmen-Farmers Crisis “The herdsmen/crop farmers issue is being wittingly or unwittingly allowed to turn sour and messy. It is no credit to the Federal Government that the herdsmen rampage continues with careless abandon and without finding an effective solution to it.” “The issue of herdsmen/crop farmers dichotomy should not be left on the political platform of blame game; the Federal Government must take the lead in bringing about solution that protects life and properties of herdsmen and crop farmers alike and for them to live amicably in the same community.”
8. Governors’ Endorsement Of Buhari “It is a sad symptom of insensitivity and callousness that some Governors, a day after 73 victims were being buried in a mass grave in Benue State without condolence, were jubilantly endorsing President Buhari for a second term! The timing was most unfortunate.”
9. Three Areas He Feels Buhari Failed “One is nepotic deployment bordering on clannishness and inability to bring discipline to bear on errant members of his nepotic court. This has grave consequences on performance of his government to the detriment of the nation. It would appear that national interest was being sacrificed on the altar of nepotic interest.” “The second is his poor understanding of the dynamics of internal politics. This has led to wittingly or unwittingly making the nation more divided and inequality has widened and become more pronounced. It also has effect on general national security.” “The third is passing the buck. For instance, blaming the Governor of the Central Bank for devaluation of the naira by 70% or so and blaming past governments for it, is to say the least, not accepting one’s own responsibility. Let nobody deceive us, economy feeds on politics and because our politics is depressing, our economy is even more depressing today.”
10. The Case Of Maina “What does one make of a case like that of Maina: collusion, condonation, ineptitude, incompetence, dereliction of responsibility or kinship and friendship on the part of those who should have taken visible and deterrent disciplinary action? How many similar cases are buried, ignored or covered up and not yet in the glare of the media and the public?”
11. Buhari’s Health, Pushing His Luck “…Whatever may be the state of President Buhari’s health today, he should neither over-push his luck nor over-tax the patience and tolerance of Nigerians for him…”
12. A Dignified Exit From Power President Buhari needs a dignified and honourable dismount from the horse. He needs to have time to reflect, refurbish physically and recoup and after appropriate rest, once again, join the stock of Nigerian leaders whose experience, influence, wisdom and outreach can be deployed on the sideline for the good of the country. His place in history is already assured.
13. ‘Wobbling’ APC And PDP “I have had occasion in the past to say that the two main political parties – APC and PDP – were wobbling. I must reiterate that nothing has happened to convince me otherwise. If anything, I am reinforced in my conviction.”
14. Déjà Vu I believe the situation we are in today is akin to what and where we were in at the beginning of this democratic dispensation in 1999. The nation was tottering. People became hopeless and saw no bright future in the horizon.
15. Verdict “Let the administration and its political party platform agree with the rest of us that what they have done and what they are capable of doing is not good enough for us. To ask them to give more will be unrealistic and will only sentence Nigeria to a prison term of four years if not destroy it beyond the possibility of an early recovery and substantial growth.”
16. A Word For Citizens… “If leadership fails, citizens must not fail and there lies the beauty and importance of democracy. We are challenged by the current situation; we must neither adopt spirit of cowardice nor timidity let alone impotence.”
17. A Movement To Save The Day “We need a Coalition for Nigeria, CN. Such a Movement at this juncture needs not be a political party but one to which all well-meaning Nigerians can belong. That Movement must be a coalition for democracy, good governance, social and economic well-being and progress. Coalition to salvage and redeem our country. You can count me with such a Movement.”

Due to the reported cases of Lassa fever in some parts of the country, the Anambra State Government has banned the drinking of Garri in other to prevent the contraction of the acute viral haemorrhagic illness.
The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joe Akabuike made this known while educating residents of the state on measures to prevent the disease at a press conference in Awka.
He said, “The garri you see spread along the highway while you’re travelling is very risky to consume, especially when you drink it. It is better and surer consuming the ones you prepared yourself. We are by this enlightenment prohibiting the drinking of garri in the state.
“Like any other form of disease, good hygiene practices and taking precautions over all forms of symptoms among family members and friends will go a long way to curb the spread of diseases.
“Hand washing remains an effective way of preventing diseases. Families as well as corporate organisations should re-adopt the use of tip taps and hand sanitisers placed in public places.”
This comes after Idowu Ahmed, a 30-year-old doctor with the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Lokoja, died of Lassa fever on Sunday.
A procession was held at the Federal Medical Centre Lokoja on Tuesday, for the late doctor who died of the haemorrhagic illness.
Addressing medical practitioners after the procession, the Chief Medical Directo, Dr Olatunde Alabi, said, “Actually, the late Dr. Idowu Ahmed is one of our new doctors that we have here and he has been very hardworking and dedicated to his duties. We are aware that there is an epidemic in the country and we are trying to put our own measures in place so that we don’t have further spread of the disease.”
Speaking with Punch NG, the Kogi State Chairman of Nigerian Medical Association, Dr. Godwin Tijani said that the persons, who had contact with the deceased, had been quarantined.
“We feel saddened by the death of one of our colleagues. He is a young chap and after two months, he is no more. We will forever miss him.
“As I speak to you, some of his colleagues who had contact with him have been quarantined and some of them had started taking drugs to ensure the effect is not felt,” he said.

Couple goals anyone? We love love, and we know you do too. It’s truly amazing to see couples who truly love and respect each other. And when these couples are celebrities, it’s even more special. It can be hard to maintain a relationship while in the public eye, so for those who do it so well, we say kudos. Here are five celebrity lovers who will be couple goals forever:
Joke Silva and Olu Jacobs
https://www.zumi.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/olu-jacobs-joke-silva-1.jpg
We should just stop right here. There’s no need to explain why they’re goals but we will anyway. First of all they have been together forever. Secondly, they still make it work almost flawlessly. Thirdly, they are so classy and they complement each other. Okay we’re done, you get the message. 2Face and Annie Idibia
Can we get an awww? 2Face and Annie are too cute. They’ve been together since before they became stars and even though their love isn’t perfect, it has lasted. We can’t get over how Annie talks about her “Innocent” as if he’s the only man in the world. Then again, to her he probably is. Simi and Adekunle Gold
These two are so cute, we just want to give them a hug. They’ve never really admitted to being a couple, but we know they are. The amazing synergy with which they combine work and play shows us that they will last, and last. We can’t wait for a musical marriage and some musical babies. Let’s go there! Gbenro and Osas Ajibade

We love how down to earth this couple is. They have managed to build a home in the spotlight, and they do it with fine enterprise. Plus Gbenro is a hunk and Osas has that gorgeous figure eight. Perfect match anyday. Banky W and Adesua Etomi

Their love is so fresh and real that they seem like regular people instead of celebrities. We’re glad that they’re so happy together and we’re happy to see them together.
